1 pt every 20 passing yards
1 pt every 10 rushing yards
1 pt every 10 receiving yards
4 pts per passing touchdown
6 pts per rushing/receiving touchdown
-1 pt per interception

    - Are giving up 105 rushing yards per game on the year but have allowed only 1 rushing touchdown
    - Have allowed 196 passing yards per game with 4 touchdowns surrendered.  They have intercepted 11 passes
  • QB Peyton Manning has faced the Texans six times.  In those games he has
    - Averaged 262 passing yards per game

  • WR Andre Johnson has never finished with more than 59 receiving yards against the Colts and hasn’t scored
  • The Texans have scored 10 points or fewer in four of the five games this season
  • Surprisingly, QB David Carr’s quarterback rating isn’t too bad at 71.7 for the year
  • However Carr is only on pace to pass for 2,307 yards
  • RB Domanick Davis has no rushing touchdowns this season (does have two receiving TDs though)
  • The Texans leading receiver is Jabar Gaffney.  He is on pace to finish with a whopping 659 yards.  Ouch!

Kansas City Chiefs at Miami Dolphins

The Chiefs are 11-13 lifetime against the Dolphins

  • The Chiefs are 1-1 on the road this season and have won three of the last five away from home
  • The Chiefs…
    - Are scoring 24 points per game on the season while giving up 22.4 points per game
    - Run Defense has been solid.  They are giving up 95.8 rushing yards per game with only 3 touchdowns allowed
    - On the flip side, the Chiefs cannot stop the pass.  They give up 278 passing yards per game with 9 touchdowns allowed
    - Have only 2 interceptions
  • RB Priest Holmes has only rushed for 136 yards and 1 touchdown in his two road games this season
  • The Chiefs have scored 23+ points in four of the five games this season
  • QB Trent Green has a solid quarterback rating (80.5) but has thrown only 4 touchdowns on the year
  • Green is on pace to finish with 3,392 passing yards
  • RB Priest Holmes is only averaging 3.7 yards per carry but does have 5 touchdowns and is on pace to finish with 1,597 total yards
  • RB Larry Johnson has 46 carries but only 2 receptions on the year.  He is averaging 5.5 yards per carry
  • The Dolphins are 2-0 at home this season

    - Are scoring 19 points per game on the year while giving up 19.4 points per game
    - Only allow 3.4 yards per carry this season with 2 touchdowns giving up
    - Are giving up 190 passing yards per game but have allowed 8 passing touchdowns and only picked off 3 passes
  • QB Gus Frerotte has tossed 4 touchdowns against 2 interceptions at home this season
  • The Dolphins have scored 14 points or less in three of the games this year
  • Frerotte is starting to tail off.  He has a QB rating of 70.3 with 7 touchdowns against 6 interceptions and a 53% completion rate
  • RB Ricky Williams gained a total of 8 yards on 5 carries in his first action since 2003.  Not exactly a strong impact

New Orleans Saints at St. Louis Rams

The Saints are 29-36 lifetime against the Rams

  • The Saints defeated the Rams in St. Louis last season 27-24

    - Are scoring 17 points per game while surrendering 29 points per game
    - Are averaging 342 yards per game on offense this season
    - Are giving up 129 rushing yards per game on the year with 7 touchdowns surrendered
    - Are giving up 173 passing yards on the year but have allowed 9 touchdowns against only 4 interceptions
  • QB Aaron Brooks is on pace to finish with 11 touchdowns against 22 interceptions
  • Deuce who?  RB Antowain Smith is averaging 4.2 yards per carry and has 2 touchdowns

  • The 49ers haven’t won on the road anywhere but in Arizona since the Philadelphia Eagles rested their starters at the end of the 2003 season

    - Are scoring 16 points per game while giving up 17 points per game
    - Run defense is bad.  They give up 159 yards per game (5.3 YPC) with 7 touchdowns allowed
    - Pass defense is awesome.  They have given up 137 passing yards per game with 4 touchdowns against 9 interceptions
  • Does quarterbacking matter?  With JP Losman in at quarterback, the Bills averaged 12 points per game.  With Kelly Holcombe they have averaged 23.5
  • Holcomb is completing 70.5% of his throws
