Chargers | Justin Herbert limited again in practice Fri Dec 5, 06:11 PM
Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert (hand) was listed as a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day Friday, Dec. 5.
Footballguys view: Jim Harbaugh has maintained steady optimism that Herbert will be ready to go on Monday night. Given the schedule, his uncertainty could put fantasy managers in a bind. Frankly, Herbert's production hasn't been great lately, as he's played through injuries and without his bookend tackles. He makes for a shaky QB2 this week, and you can hopefully find a better option on Sunday. In a deep-league desperation move, Herbert managers could pick up Trey Lance as a last-minute pivot option.
Justin Herbert player page
Los Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) was able to practice in full on Friday, Dec. 5.
Footballguys view: Hampton will have another chance to log a full practice tomorrow, but all signs point to him making his return after suffering a broken ankle in Week 5. Hampton was on fire before his injury. Since he's been out, though, Kimani Vidal has found a rhythm. Hampton should take over lead duties, but Vidal will likely be more involved than he was earlier in the year. Hampton should be eased into after an extended absence, making him a back-end RB2 if active.
Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: There's no way to sugarcoat it: McCarthy has been bad this year. However, the Commanders are one of the league's worst pass defenses. McCarthy doesn't belong anywhere near a starting lineup this week, but fantasy managers desperate for a quarterback might want to stash him before his schedule opens up down the stretch.
Minnesota Vikings RB Aaron Jones (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, but is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Jones has played through this injury for a few weeks now and clearly aggravated it last week. With Jones expected to be active this week, he can be relied on as a risky RB2. Jordan Mason and Zavier Scott fall well down the rankings, out of starting consideration in most leagues.
Aaron Jones Sr. player page
Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Jacobs missed one game two weeks ago, but played through his knee injury last Thursday against the Lions. He'll suit up for another divisional matchup against the Bears on Sunday. He's third among running backs to Jonathan Taylor and Jahmyr Gibbs in rushing touchdowns. Start him as an RB1.
Josh Jacobs player page
Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (rest) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Smith-Njigba's limited practice on Wednesday was simply rest-related. Don't let last week's down game scare you away. Smith-Njigba is still leading all receivers in fantasy points, and he's a plug-and-play elite WR1 this week.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba player page
Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III (glute) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Walker has played through this glute injury for a few weeks now, and there's no expectation that he won't get his normal workload. He's started to pull away with a bit more work over the last couple of weeks, and makes for a decent RB2 in this matchup.
Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp (rest) was limited in practice on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Kupp was added to Friday's injury report as a limited participant. His inclusion was just for rest, and he should be a full go on Sunday. The upside from his younger days appears gone at this point, pushing him out of the top 50 receivers in our weekly rankings.
Cooper Kupp player page
Green Bay Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, but is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Wicks is coming off a career game, hauling six catches for 94 yards and two scores on Thanksgiving. With rookie Matthew Golden struggling to get up to speed, Wicks has stepped into a full-time role. He's a risky play in Week 14, but the Bears are susceptible to big plays through the air, giving him some upside for desperate managers.
Dontayvion Wicks player page
Green Bay Packers WR Jayden Reed (foot, shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Reed got some limited practices in last week, so he's likely getting close to a return. Even when he is active, managers will likely want to take a week to see how he looks before elevating him into starting lineups. If he can't suit up this week, he'll probably return in Week 15. He's worth a stash even if you don't need him. His upside late in the season could make him a player you want to avoid facing through the fantasy playoffs.
Jayden Reed player page
Green Bay Packers WR Matthew Golden (wrist) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Given the first-round price tag, Golden's rookie season has been incredibly disappointing so far. A couple of flashes early were quickly forgotten as he struggled to maintain any production or consistency. Even if active in this matchup, he's deep down in the rankings. Keep him rostered in dynasty leagues and hope he can take a step forward next year, but limit any expectations for this season.
Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams (ankle) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: There were reports early this week that the Rams want to lessen Williams' workload to keep him fresh for the playoffs. However, the Rams are in contention for a first-round bye in a tight NFC race. He's been in a split with Corum recently, and there's no reason to think he won't see similar work. He's a strong RB2 in Week 14 against the Cardinals.
Los Angeles Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Adams has played through this injury for most of the season, and he should be a full go against the Cardinals. The veteran receiver leads the league in red-zone targets (28) and receiving touchdowns (14). He's a no-brainer WR1 this week.
Davante Adams player page
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Parker Washington (hip) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Parker Washington has taken a backseat to Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Brenton Strange, pushing him deep into the weekly WR5 rankings. If active, he's only viable for desperate managers.
Parker Washington player page
Arizona Cardinals WR Greg Dortch (chest) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Footballguys view: Dortch would have had some appealing upside with Marvin Harrison Jr. out. With Dortch inactive, Trey McBride and Michael Wilson should dominate targets. Get both of them in your lineups.
Greg Dortch player page
Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Rice has practiced in full all week. He should play without any limitations, and makes for a high-end WR1 in Week 14 rankings.
Rashee Rice player page
Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Pacheco was limited in his return last week, ceding most of the backfield work to Kareem Hunt. It's possible that Hunt can carve out a larger role as the season progresses. For now, though, keep him on your bench if you can.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Mahomes is often on the injury report, practicing in full, and rarely in danger of not playing. He's an elite QB1 this week. Get him in your lineup.
Patrick Mahomes II player page
Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones (fibula) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: This fibula injury has clearly limited Jones' mobility, as he had just one rushing yard last week and appeared limited moving in the pocket. He'll play through this fractured fibula, but that lack of rushing upside pushes him from the plug-and-play QB1 tier down to the streamers.
Daniel Jones player page
Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs (hip, knee) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Downs is fourth in the Colts' pecking order, giving him a scary floor on a weekly basis. However, he has the occasional boom game and could find some soft spots against the zone-heavy Jaguars. He's a WR4 this week, but carries some fun upside.
Josh Downs player page
Washington Commanders WR Noah Brown (groin, knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Brown hasn't played since Week 2 and is inching toward a return. If active this week, he's way too risky to start. However, Brown displayed a nice rapport with Jayden Daniels last year. He's worth a stash in very deep leagues, but having Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel, and Zach Ertz ahead of him will likely limit his upside.
Noah Brown player page
Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Njoku has nursed this knee injury for the majority of this season. He's lost his role as the team's primary pass-catching tight end to rookie Harold Fannin. He's a viable streamer, although very risky.
David Njoku player page
Miami Dolphins TE Darren Waller (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Waller was limited early in the week with a couple of veteran rest days, but he should be a full go this Sunday against the Jets. His volume hasn't been significant, but he's offset that lack of usage with efficiency and touchdowns. He's in the streaming tier this week.
Darren Waller player page
Houston Texans RB Woody Marks (ankle) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Marks has taken over as the Texans' workhorse over the last month. Unfortunately, the targets and touchdowns have not followed. Still, Marks' projected volume puts him in the high-end RB3 conversation against the Chiefs.
Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: After running hot last year with nine touchdowns, Bateman's production has cooled off this season. Especially with a hobbled Lamar Jackson, Bateman is far off the fantasy radar this week against the Steelers.
Rashod Bateman player page
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: The injury Mayfield sustained in Week 12 is to his non-throwing shoulder. He played through it last week and will do so again in Week 14. Hopefully by Week 15, Mayfield will have his full complement of receivers back, helping him regain the upside that made him a plug-and-play QB1 last year.
Baker Mayfield player page
Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard (rest) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Pollard has been afforded regular rest days since joining the Titans last year. Splitting work with Tyjae Spears on a struggling offense makes him a risky start in Week 3. He's in the RB3 range, and hopefully you've got a better option.
Tony Pollard player page
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Rodgers played through his broken left wrist last week and will do so again in Week 14 against the Ravens. He's deep down the rankings, only offering value in two-quarterback and superflex leagues.
Aaron Rodgers player page
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Irving returned last week and immediately regained his workhorse role. Fire him up as an RB1 this week.
Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf (rest) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Nothing but a rest day for Metcalf here. His volatility has been frustrating this season, but he's got enough upside that you can use him as a WR3 this week against the Ravens.
DK Metcalf player page
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, but is not on the injury report for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Godwin logged a full practice on Thursday, and there seems to be no concern about his limited participation on Friday. Godwin was clearly shaking off the rust last week, but he garnered enough volume to put him in the WR3 discussion this week against the Saints.
Chris Godwin Jr. player page
New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (back) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
Footballguys view: This back injury popped up on last week's injury report, and Olave played through it while posting 47 receiving yards and a score. Olave is trending to play, but fantasy managers will want to check in Sunday morning. If Olave can't go, the Saints play early enough that there will be plenty of pivot options to choose from.
Cincinnati Bengals RB Chase Brown (calf) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Last week's box score doesn't paint a clear picture, as a lot of Samaje Perine's work came late when the Bengals were up multiple scores. Brown opened the game as the team's starter and logged his sixth straight game with 100-plus scrimmage yards. The Bengals look better with Joe Burrow back at the helm. Brown is an RB1 this week against the exploitable Bills defense.
Chase Brown player page
Chicago Bears RB Kyle Monangai (ankle) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 5, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Monangai is coming off a career game, as he and D'Andre Swift sliced through the Eagles' defense with ease. We still expect the workload to lean in Swift's favor, but Monangai makes a viable flex option, even with a tough matchup against the Packers.
Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills WR Joshua Palmer (ankle, knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is listed as doubtful for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Palmer had lofty expectations coming into the season, but has struggled to stay healthy, and contributed very little when he was. Even if he were active, he's little more than a desperation play in deep leagues.
Joshua Palmer player page
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) has been ruled out for Week 14.
Footballguys view: In Kamara's absence, rookie Devin Neal dominated touches last week. The Buccaneers aren't the vaunted run defense they have been in years past, putting Neal firmly into the RB3 discussion as an option with sneaky upside.
Alvin Kamara player page
Chicago Bears WR Rome Odunze (foot) has been ruled out for Week 14, according to head coach Ben Johnson.
Footballguys view: It's being reported that Odunze has been playing through a stress fracture in his foot. With Odunze out, rookie Luther Burden should finally see an expanded role. Additionally, DJ Moore, Colston Loveland, and Cole Kmet all get slight bumps in the rankings. The Bears have a tough matchup against a stout Packers defense but are riding high after a big Black Friday win in Philadelphia.
Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) has been ruled out for Week 14.
Footballguys view: London has yet to practice since suffering a PCL sprain at the end of Week 11. He was getting red hot prior to the injury, registering 100-plus yards in five of his last six games. He hopes to return before the season ends, but fantasy managers will be without him for at least one more week. Don't expect much from a Kirk Cousins-led offense without their top pass-catcher. Touches will likely funnel to the running backs.
Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (heel) practiced on Friday, Dec. 5, and he will play in Week 14, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Footballguys view: Jackson has played through injury for the last month, but his fantasy production over that time has cratered. The Ravens and Steelers both need to win this matchup, so the Ravens will trot Jackson out there. It's tough benching a player of Jackson's caliber, given the potential upside. However, he's our QB12 this week. He's in the streaming discussion and no longer a plug-and-play QB1 until he proves otherwise.
Lamar Jackson player page
New York Jets QB Justin Fields (knee) has been ruled out for Week 14, according to head coach Aaron Glenn.
Footballguys view: No surprise here after Fields was listed as doubtful earlier today. Tyrod Taylor will get the start and makes for a back-end streamer against the Dolphins.
Justin Fields player page
Green Bay Packers WR Jayden Reed (collarbone) has not been medically cleared, but the team hopes he will be before Week 14, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
Footballguys view: Reed broke his collarbone in Week 2 on an attempt at snagging a touchdown. During the surgery to repair his collarbone, he also had a Jones fracture repaired, causing him to miss the next few months. If active, managers will want to take a wait-and-see approach. However, he's worth a stash in all leagues, as a healthy Reed makes for a high-end RB3.
Jayden Reed player page
Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (hamstring, knee) is questionable for Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to head coach Sean McDermott.
Footballguys view: Injuries have marred Kincaid's entire 2025 season. When fully healthy, he's had some big games, but it's hard to trust him in this matchup. After missing some time with this hamstring injury, he showed up to Thursday's practice with a knee brace. If active, his matchup against the Bengals is as good as it gets. But potential limitations keep him in the streaming discussion.
Dalton Kincaid player page
Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and will play in Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills.
Footballguys view: With Joe Burrow back under center, there are no concerns about firing Higgins up in your fantasy lineups. He's had a nose for the end zone this season, scoring seven touchdowns in 11 games. He makes for a high-end WR2 this week against the Bills.
Tee Higgins player page
Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (elbow) will start in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Footballguys view: What appeared to be a season-ending injury didn't even require an IR stint for Daniels, who will return after just three missed games. Daniels might reel back his rushing a bit in this game as he protects his injured elbow, but he can still be started as a back-end QB1 in fantasy.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (neck) has been ruled out for Week 14.
Footballguys view: It's promising that McMillan was back at practice this week. He'll hope to recover in time for Week 15's matchup. When active, McMillan will likely fall behind Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin, and Mike Evans, making his path to fantasy relevance thin. Still, we saw him step up late last year amidst injuries, putting him on the radar as a stash in extremely deep leagues.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (collarbone) won't play in Week 14.
Footballguys view: Evans was back at practice this week and hopes to make his return in Week 15. There are few IR stashes with as much upside as Evans. If he's available in your fantasy league, he should be a priority addition.
Mike Evans player page
New York Jets QB Justin Fields (knee) is out for Week 14, and QB Brady Cook will be elevated to be the backup in Week 14.
Footballguys view: Fields practiced normally on Wednesday but was added to Thursday's injury report as a limited participant and will miss this week's game. Tyrod Taylor will get the start and makes for a low-end streamer against the Dolphins.
Justin Fields player page
Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) is out for Week 14.
Footballguys view: After exiting last week's game with this heel injury, Harrison will miss at least one game. Michael Wilson caught 25 of 33 targets for 303 yards over the two recent games Harrison missed. Fire him up as a high-end WR2 in this matchup against the Rams.
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) isn't progressing as the team hoped, and he won't play again this season, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Footballguys view: The Cardinals will have a difficult decision to make on Murray this offseason. Will they keep him, trade him, or simply release him and eat $58M in dead cap? They've been getting strong quarterback play from Jacoby Brissett lately, and he deserves a chance to finish out the season. With this news now official, Trey McBride and Michael Wilson both get big bumps to their rest-of-season outlooks.
Kyler Murray player page
Updating a previous report, Houston Texans RB Woody Marks (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 4.
Footballguys view: A good sign for Texans fans and Fantasy GMs here. The Texans travel to play the Chiefs on Sunday night, and Marks looks like he'll be out there. He's an RB2/flex option in Week 14.
