| Footballguys view: The most important name here is Trapilo, who emerged as the team's starting left tackle as a rookie second round pick last year. The team still has Braxton Jones, who he supplanted, and they signed former Browns first round pick Jedrick Wills as a reclamation project for depth. Trapilo tore a patellar tendon, so he's projected to miss most of the season, and there's no guarantee that he'll play at all. |

| Footballguys view: General manager Jon-Eric Sullivan identified running back De'Von Achane, center Aaron Brewer, and Brooks as the three "pillars" the team wants to build around -- and said he would prioritize extending those players in that order. Miami has reached extension agreements with Achane and Brewer, leaving Brooks as the lone unsigned pillar. Brooks has expressed multiple times his interest in remaining with the Dolphins long term, and Miami isn't exactly flush with extension-eligible players. We'll be watching for more on this. |

There was some speculation that the Steelers could trade Herbig or Alex Highsmith - who they have under contract for two more years at $14.5 and $15 million. 'Let's be realistic here, like, I already have more than enough. So, for me, it was more about the principle of I just want to be in the elite category, because I feel like I'm an elite linebacker and that's the way [Lions GM] Brad [Holmes] saw it and that's the way everyone upstairs saw it...I feel like, for me, I don't need to be the highest paid,' Campbell said.

'I've got a good amount of money coming in this year,' Queen said. 'So, at the end of the day, I couldn't care less. If they do want to extend, cool. If not, cool. At the end of the day, it's as a business.' He enters his seventh NFL season, and he hasn't missed a start across four years with the Baltimore Ravens, and his first two seasons with the Steelers. He is looking to have a big season, but will have to adjust to a new defense under Patrick Graham. He was working with LB Payton Wilson to help get him up to speed with the new defensive coordinator's plan.

Greenlaw is under contract for $6 million for one season, and $7.5 million based on incentives.
