Cowboys | Jaydon Blue locked in and ready to go Sun Jul 5, 05:31 PM
Dallas Cowboys RB Jaydon Blue admitted he 'wasn't really there' in his rookie season of 2025, but he is 'ready to go now'. The former University of Texas star enters the season in a battle to be the primary backup to RB Javonte Williams. 'I didn't start off like I should have,' Blue said. 'Maybe if it was not practicing the right way or just on a maturity level, I think I wasn't really there. But just learning from all the vets, having the offseason that I've had, I think I'm ready to go.'

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts signed a big-money contract extension this offseason, and he views it as just the start of a new phase of his career. 'I think there's a lot more out there, a lot more to get, and a lot more things to keep grinding towards. It's cool to see,' Pitts said. He feels his best football is '100 percent' in the future.
Footballguys view: Pitts is still just 25 years old and theoretically has his best days ahead of him. After a fantastic rookie campaign, Pitts' next season was cut short after tearing his MCL and PCL. His production and play over the next two seasons were underwhelming, but he started to look like his old self again in 2025, posting the best fantasy season of his career. Pitts is being drafted as a middling TE1 this year, but has the upside to drastically outperform his draft-day cost.

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels, and embattled San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk, apparently have had a beef on social media. Aiyuk wanted to play with his former Arizona State teammate, as he has had a very public contract dispute with his current team. It was thought he would eventually land in Washington, the only team to show any remote interest in him, but after Aiyuk insulted Daniels' mother, who is also his agent, that landing spot might no longer be in the cards. 'Enjoy retirement, pal,' Daniels posted on social media, tagging Aiyuk, before pulling it down later.
Footballguys view: This recent Aiyuk saga has been impossible to predict at nearly every step. His near-daily social media posts about being a Commander drew some attention from Jayden Daniels, but the engagement quickly escalated into a public altercation. The 49ers still possess Aiyuk's contract and have been eerily quiet about him publicly. The speculation about him going to Washington seemed to be entirely pushed by Aiyuk himself. George Kittle recently said of Aiyuk, "I watched him run over 22 miles an hour and stop on a dime. So, he's still got it, or at least that was a year, eight months ago." Still just 28, the off-field issues are beginning to outweigh what upside he could bring to the field. Aiyuk and Daniels are reported to have unfollowed each other on social media, likely closing the door on a trade to the Commanders.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Jack Bech, picked in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, could be a big part of the offense in 2026. He showed signs in the last few games of his rookie campaign, and head coach Klint Kubiak is looking to unlock and unleash Bech. He is putting the receiver in positions to make plays and be successful. He reportedly had a strong showing in organized team activities (OTAs), too.
Footballguys view: Bech is a bit older of a prospect, turning 25 this year, his second in the league. The hope when the Raiders drafted him was that he'd make an immediate impact, but he failed to do much in his rookie season. With a new coaching staff and a thin receiver room, where Jalen Nailor and Tre Tucker are his primary competition, Bech will have a chance to establish a large role this season. He's not someone worth heavily targeting in fantasy drafts right now, but he's a name to watch throughout camp.
Free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins (Ravens) remains hopeful of joining a contender for the 2026 season, but he won't race to join an organization. 'I still got a lot ball left,' Hopkins said. 'I know in my position, I'm a utility guy. I'm a special situation kind of guy. I can go out there and beat anybody one on one at any time, but as of lately, I've been a third-down guy. I wasn't used in the red zone last year. But (on) third down, they're gonna put D-Hop in, they're gonna come to me. I don't think that'll change anytime soon.'
Footballguys view: Self-awareness is an important trait, and Hopkins has it. Now 34 years old, he isn't the every-down WR1 he once was. But he's got a bag of tricks he can reach into in a pinch, and he still has massive hands and tenacity to come down with contested catches. Coming off a season with just 330 yards, his fantasy-relevant days are likely behind him. But he can find a path to being a situational contributor in the right offense.

Free-agent WR Tyreek Hill (knee) may not be able to suit up at all during the 2026 season, in the opinion of Bleacher Report's James Palmer. Multiple NFL teams are monitoring the situation but Hill is still in the process of recovering from multiple torn knee ligaments and a dislocated knee.
Footballguys view: Going in what would be his age-32 season, Hill is firmly on the wrong side of the age curve. Last year's knee injury was one that younger players have taken years to recover from, making Hill's recovery at his advanced age even harder. Hill's game is largely predicated on his explosiveness, and last year's injury could take some time for him to regain that, if ever. There's hope that Hill can heal up and rejoin a team later in the year, but it's hard to recommend him as a late-round target. Even if he does return, it could be late in the year and with limited usage.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders is not expected to be traded, even if he loses the preseason competition for the Browns' starting quarterback job to QB Deshaun Watson, according to multiple league sources.
Footballguys view: There's no reason for the Browns to trade Sanders. He's on an incredibly team-friendly rookie deal, just four years and $4.6 million. At best, they can stumble into the quarterback of their future for cheap. At worst, that's still a good deal for a backup. Sanders generates a lot of media buzz, but his situation, at least in the short term, seems pretty straightforward.

Dallas Cowboys WR Jonathan Mingo appeared in six games after being acquired by the Cowboys last season, finishing with one reception on five targets.

New England Patriots RB Jam Miller should be 'in the thick of things' in the running back competition during training camp, according to Jordy McElroy of PatriotsWire.
Footballguys view: Miller was a productive running back at Alabama and followed that up with an impressive showing at the NFL Combine. Despite that, he fell to Round 7 in the draft. The Patriots have a long history of hitting on late-round picks and UDFAs, giving Miller a bit more appeal than he may have on other rosters. He'd need some good reports in training camp to hit the redraft radar, but he's absolutely worth a stash in dynasty leagues.
Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs has been the 'go-to target' for the first-team offense during offseason workouts, according to Stephen Holder of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: With Michael Pittman in Pittsburgh and Alec Pierce recovering from ankle surgery, Downs currently sits atop the receiver depth chart. He does most of his damage outside the numbers while tight end Tyler Warren works across the middle of the field, making them good complementary players. When Pierce returns, his role as a valuable field-stretcher will open everything up. Downs has been steadily productive since he came into the league, but hasn't had a true breakout season. That could change in 2026, as Downs enters the season in the best situation of his career.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Jalen Nailor is expected to be at least the No. 2 wide receiver for the Raiders this upcoming season, in the opinion of Raiders Wire's Levi Damien.
Footballguys view: Damien contends Nailor is the only somewhat proven talent the Raiders added this offseason. According to Footballguy Matt Waldman, Nailor has the speed and ball skills to emerge as a bigger part of the passing game, but this will depend on his rapport with Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza. You'll likely see both this year, so it makes Nailor's targets more volatile than many in his ADP range. The former Viking is being drafted as WR63 in the 14th round.
Tennessee Titans WR Calvin Ridley was a limited participant during the offseason workouts and mandatory minicamp.
Footballguys view: In fact, Jim Wyatt of the team's official website characterized Ridley as "very limited" in offseason work. He was involved in just a few of the team period snaps as the training staff was careful with him. Wyatt does believe Ridley brings something different in terms of his speed, and his experience will help him. He's been great to Cam Ward and others from a leadership standpoint, and Wyatt knows the veteran is eager to bounce back after a disappointing 2025 season. Ridley is being drafted as WR69 this offseason, well behind rookie Carnell Tate (WR30) and Wan'Dale Robinson (WR47).

Seattle Seahawks RB George Holani received the bulk of the snaps with the first-team offense during the Seahawks' six full-squad practice sessions that were open to reporters, according to ESPN.com's Brady Henderson. Holani, Jadarian Price and Emanuel Wilson are expected to share playing time in the Seattle backfield while RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) recovers from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Footballguys view: Holani is squarely in Seattle's backfield plans for 2026 as he looks to build off his strong finish to 2025, when he performed well as a fill-in for Charbonnet. According to Footballguy Matt Waldman, Holani has agility, contact balance, and solid speed for his size. He has worked his way from undrafted free-agent status to potential playing time if he can hold off Wilson, as Charbonnet's projected early-season return is too optimistic.

San Francisco 49ers WR Mike Evans was 'unstoppable in red zone drills' during OTAs, according to TE George Kittle.
Footballguys view: Kittle, who was integral in recruiting Evans to the Niners, told reporters that during one of the final OTAs, Evans caught "three to five" touchdowns, using his size and leaping ability to haul in score after score. This adds to a previous report indicating Evans is heading for an "alpha" role in his first season in San Francisco. It's not hard to argue that Evans' current WR27 ADP doesn't reflect that role. Assuming he's on the field all 17 games, we're paying for Evans' floor and totally ignoring the historically high ceiling.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert averaged 39.4 receiving yards per game in 2025, his lowest average since his rookie season.
Footballguys view: While the yardage totals were down, Goedert was a force in the red zone in 2025, catching 11 TD passes, a new Eagles single-season tight end record. But given the diminished per-game production, it's fair to wonder if that regression will be a continuing trend. Working in his favor? Jalen Hurts has proven that he truly trusts throwing to three players -- A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Goedert. Brown is gone. That helps Goedert. It's also possible he'll be invigorated by Sean Mannion's new offensive scheme, which worked in Tucker Kraft's favor in Green Bay last year.
Dallas Goedert player page
Philadelphia Eagles TE Eli Stowers has 'a long way to go' as a blocker and will have to be used in a specialized role as a rookie, according to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com.
Footballguys view: Stowers was a high school quarterback who moved to tight end in college. The appeal is that he is an elite athlete who ran a 4.51 40, vertical leaped 45 1/2", and broad jumped 135". As Nick Sirianni said after the Eagles made the pick, Stowers can do things athletically that nobody else can. The downside is that Stowers is probably more of a big receiver at this point than he is a tight end. He has a long way to go as a blocker in the NFL. Given the long-term upside, Stowers' development is worth watching.
New York Giants TE Theo Johnson said the tight ends will be a big part of the passing game this upcoming season.
Footballguys view: Johnson is credited with 859 yards and six touchdowns over his first two seasons in New York. The Giants signed former Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely this offseason as well, and the veteran should quickly shine alongside Johnson in 2026. Both Johnson and Likely have proven to thrive as pass catchers in the past. But likely, brought on board by his former head coach, John Harbaugh, is the target of fantasy interest here.
Baltimore Ravens PK Tyler Loop could still face competition for the starting kicker job, according to head coach Jesse Minter. 'He'll continue to work over the summer,' Minter said. 'He'll continue to work in training camp. But we play in September, so I think that gives us a lot of time to be able to answer questions as they may come up.'
Footballguys view: Loop's missed 44-yard kick cost Baltimore the AFC North title in a 26-24 loss at Pittsburgh. The Ravens were eliminated from the playoffs for the first time since 2021, and John Harbaugh was fired as head coach after 18 seasons with the team. Loop's ability to bounce back -- and the Ravens' faith in him to do so -- is among the biggest storylines surrounding the team. This spring, Loop has been the only kicker on the Ravens' roster. We'll see if it stays that way when camp opens.
San Francisco 49ers WR Mike Evans is considered an 'alpha type of player' for the team, according to offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak.
Footballguys view: Evans was a regular participant in the team's offseason program, running routes and catching passes from quarterback Brock Purdy. At the team's final open OTA, Evans was front and center. In 7-on-7 and team drills, he made at least four catches, working the sideline, the middle of the field, and even getting a deep ball down the sideline from Purdy. Assuming he's the alpha in this offense, Evans' WR27 ADP and Round 5 price tag are appealing, especially considering he's finished as WR2 or better in 11 of his 12 seasons (including six WR1 finishes).

Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (undisclosed) was praised by run game coordinator and tight ends coach Jeff Blasko for how he stayed engaged daily throughout the offseason program, learned the new offensive system and stayed diligent in understanding the details as he recovered from an undisclosed injury.
Footballguys view: Fannin ended his rookie season leading the Browns with 72 receptions -- the most ever by a Browns' rookie. He also finished second among all NFL rookies in receptions, tied for second in receiving touchdowns with six, and was fourth in receiving yards with 731. He recorded seven total touchdowns, including one rushing touchdown. His presence as a pass catcher, as well as in the run game and in protection, will play an important role in the overall success of the Browns' offense. Fannin is being drafted as TE5 in the sixth round.
Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert had an 'uneven' performance throwing the football during minicamp, according to Kris Rhim of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: New playcaller Mike McDaniel is challenging Herbert in ways he hasn't been in his pro career. That started with changing the QB's footwork and improving his anticipatory throwing. It will be a process, likely with ups and downs, throughout training camp. The Chargers believe the changes can unlock another level of Herbert, helping him "own the position," McDaniel said. Expectations are high. Herbert is being drafted as QB9 so far this year.
Justin Herbert player page
San Francisco 49ers QB Mac Jones will likely be the first player targeted in a trade if a team loses its starting quarterback to injury, according to James Palmer of Bleacher Report.
Footballguys view: Bleacher Report's James Palmer also believes that the 49ers could "probably" get the other team to "overpay a little bit." A former NFL starter and first-round draft pick, Jones produced for San Francisco while making eight starts in place of injured starter Brock Purdy in the 2025 season. The 49ers added $300,000 in incentives to the final year of Jones' contract, which happens to be this upcoming season. They wanted to keep him happy after how well the offense fared with Jones at the helm. Assuming he's not traded, he'll be a coveted free agent next offseason.
Mac Jones player page
New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo was praised for his running style by head coach John Harbaugh. 'He's a tough tackle,' Harbaugh said. 'That's what you look for. How many guys can make yards when they're not supposed to make yards on their own?'
Footballguys view: Skattebo, coming off last year's season-ending ankle injury, insists he will be ready for the Sept. 13 season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on a Sunday night at MetLife Stadium. He's confident to come back strong. "Week 1, I'll be ready to go," Skattebo said last month. Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr. give the Giants two solid options at the position. But Skattebo is the player of most fantasy interest in this backfield, and it's not close. He's currently being drafted as RB19; Tracy is going as RB42 in Round 10.
Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix led the NFL with seven game-winning drives during the 2025 regular season.
Footballguys view: An ankle injury ended Nix's season late in Denver's Divisional Round playoff win. He returned to the practice field for mandatory minicamp in June and told reporters that doctors deemed his ankle "as good as new." Coach Sean Payton said on multiple occasions during the offseason program that Nix should be a full participant by the start of training camp. Both Nix and Payton emphasized that the injury would not impact Nix's mobility. If he can continue to play at that high level, Nix could lead the Broncos to another postseason run -- and be a productive fantasy QB.
Houston Texans WR Tank Dell will likely be behind WRs Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel at the start of the 2026 season since Dell has not played since 2024, in the opinion of The Houston Chronicle's Jonathan M. Alexander.
Footballguys view: Dell, who was dynamic during his rookie season and had a couple of 100-yard games in his second season, will likely begin the year behind Higgins and Noel simply because he hasn't played since his December 2024 knee injury. Dell's progress in training camp will be worth watching. But Higgins was much better over the second half of the season than he was in the first half, and he'll likely build on that with more experience. And Noel has shown he can make big plays. The Texans will try to utilize him more.

Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud has shown improved communication with offensive coordinator Nick Caley this offseason, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Footballguys view: The growth between Stroud and Caley throughout the offseason was evident for those around the organization. That's not inferring there was friction between the two during their first season together, but growing pains aren't uncommon in the NFL -- especially with Caley being a first-time playcaller. The team expects progress in Year 2 under Caley. The offense finished 13th in points (23.8) and 18th in yards (327), and Stroud finished last year with 3,041 passing yards and 19 touchdowns in 14 games (he missed three games with a concussion). We'll be watching the Texans' training camp for continued improvement.
C.J. Stroud player page
Free-agent RB Nick Chubb (Texans) is unlikely to receive interest from the Cleveland Browns, in the opinion of The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Footballguys view: According to various reports, the Packers, Seahawks, and Bills are seen as leading candidates to sign Chubb for depth and short-yardage roles. While a severe 2023 knee injury reduced Chubb's explosiveness, he showed flashes of effectiveness with the Texans in 2025. Chubb could provide veteran stability for teams with injured starters or unproven backups heading into the season. But it sounds like the Browns, who drafted Chubb in the second round back in 2018, won't be in the mix there.
Nick Chubb player page
Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams said he expects to have a better completion percentage this upcoming season but is more interested in winning games.
Footballguys view: This is the mindset a franchise quarterback should have. Much ado was made about Williams' completion percentage, to which his supporters have pointed to a league-high throwaway rate. Williams was among the best in deep-ball completion percentage last year, but struggled in the short and intermediate areas. Tightening up in those areas in the field can push Williams from being the middling QB1 he was last year to a top-three performer.
Atlanta Falcons WR Jahan Dotson said he believes the Falcons will allow him to showcase his talents this upcoming season, according to The Athletic's Josh Kendall.
Footballguys view: There isn't much in Atlanta behind Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Day 3 rookie Zachariah Branch is a good athlete, but he's heavily limited to designed touches. Dotson fits the Darnell Mooney archetype, a player who found a consistent role in this offense. Dotson's production will likely have a boom or bust nature to it, but he makes for a fun pick in the final round of best ball drafts.
New Orleans Saints WR Jordyn Tyson pairs well with QB Tyler Shough based on his route-running ability, according to NewOrleansFootball.com's Nick Underhill.
Footballguys view: Investing the eighth overall pick in Tyson, the Saints clearly liked the Arizona State product. He'll have a nice go early in his career, playing opposite Chris Olave. Olave should draw primary coverage, allowing Tyson to get open easier. Falling into the ninth round of fantasy drafts, Tyson could easily outperform his current cost.
Seattle Seahawks RB Jadarian Price 'looked plenty capable as a pass catcher' during spring practices, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Price didn't amass many targets in college, but that was largely due to Notre Dame's system rather than a knock on his skill set. Price is a fluid mover who has soft hands, so this shouldn't come as a huge surprise. Especially with Zach Charbonnet expected to miss the early part of the year, Price could find a valuable role as the Seahawks' pass-catching back.
Arizona Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love took snaps with both the first and second teams during OTAs and minicamp.
Footballguys view: Drafted third overall, the expectation is that Love handles the bulk of the work in the Cardinals' offense. James Conner is 31 and coming off a torn ACL. Trey Benson, despite his alluring athletic profile, hasn't done much so far in the NFL. Love could struggle behind the Cardinals' offensive line, but the volume and talent could push him into a valuable role.
New England Patriots WR DeMario Douglas was a standout performer during the offseason workouts, in the opinion of Patriots.com's Evan Lazar.
Footballguys view: Douglas had a great run-up to the 2025 season as well, before his slot snaps were reduced to play Stefon Diggs inside. According to Lazar, Douglas's quickness and speed to separate from man coverage stand out among the other receivers. The question is whether it translates in the regular season. The other question is whether there will be a consistent week-to-week role with A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs at the top of the depth chart.
DeMario Douglas player page
Dallas Cowboys RB Malik Davis seems to be the leading candidate for the No. 2 running back job this upcoming season, in the opinion of NFL.com's Kevin Patra.
Footballguys view: While Davis the frontrunner, Dallas would love for Jaydon Blue to make a leap in Year 2 and snag a pass-catching role, providing a change of pace to Javonte Williams. The Cowboys could also look for Phil Mafah to take on more of a role. Dallas spent the offseason giving the two second-year backs more reps in the hope one would stand out. Coaches will likely curtail Williams' usage during training camp, allowing the youngsters to take on additional snaps and see who can take a step forward. Still, expect Davis to be the No. 2 until further notice.
Denver Broncos TE Caleb Lohner (undisclosed), OG Nick Gargiulo (knee) and OG Ben Powers (undisclosed) may be ready to participate at the start of training camp.
Link to storyKansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) is 'trending towards' being cleared for 11-on-11 work at the beginning of Chiefs' training camp, in the opinion of Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer on Tuesday, June 30.
Footballguys view: Mahomes has been in on installs, individual and seven-on-sevens through the spring. His arm has looked good, given how rehab has limited his throwing work over the past six months. But even if he's cleared for 11-on-11 work, the plan is to be smart here. Breer added the Chiefs know, given the competitor in question, once they tell Mahomes he can go, he will go; they'll likely pace him some early on. But he's in a good place, way ahead of the normal ACL/LCL rehab timeline.

Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua is eligible for a contract extension, but after trading for CB Trent McDuffie and DE Myles Garrett, the team doesn't seem to be in a hurry for any contract extensions, in the opinion of ESPN's Sarah Barshop on Tuesday, June 30.
Footballguys view: The Rams have a strong group of extension-eligible candidates from their 2023 draft class, and Nacua is at the top of that list. It remains to be seen whether the Rams get ahead of those contract extensions or focus instead on the 2026 season. The latter appears to be the way they are leaning. A deal could certainly get done -- one that makes Nacua the top-paid player at his position -- but Nacua's situation is further complicated by recent off-field issues. Of course, none of this changes Nacua's status as a consensus top-five fantasy pick.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young is viewed as the long-term franchise quarterback in Carolina, but they are not in a rush to jump the market for an extension, which may not happen until next offseason, in the opinion of ESPN's Dan Graziano on Tuesday, June 30.
Footballguys view: The Panthers picked up Young's fifth-year option for 2027 at $25.904 million, which was a no-brainer because it means they'll be paying him a total of $31.83 million over the next two years. But Graziano contends -- with Houston seemingly in no hurry with Young's 2023 draftmate C.J. Stroud -- there's no rush to jump the market and do a Young deal without seeing more.

Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby will reportedly not pursue further litigation against the NFL and focus on his preparation for the 2027 NFL Draft, according to a source on Tuesday, June 30.
Footballguys view: The NFL will not discipline Sorsby for known misconduct but retains the right to investigate his conduct beyond what's in current public filings, an NFL source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It reserves the right to take college misconduct into consideration in setting discipline for future violations. In a statement released Tuesday, Sorsby said, "I accept 100% responsibility for my actions. I did not have control of my gambling problem, and it took getting caught for me to realize that, but it was truly the best thing that could've happened to me." So, that's it for Sorsby until 2027.
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Darnell Washington revealed that he played last season at 311 pounds, according to a source, and even got as heavy as 330 pounds. A recent report has him at 264 pounds, and he is poised to be a 'weapon' in Mike McCarthy's offense.
Footballguys view: Washington agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $42 million to remain with the team early in June. Thanks to his 6-7, near-300-pound frame, Washington has been used as a big red-zone target in Pittsburgh. There's no reason to believe the weight loss will be a limiting factor. Still, Washington's fantasy value is much lower than his "real football" value to the Steelers.

Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft and the Packers may get a 'lucrative extension' done before the season as both sides have stated their desire to go forward together, in the opinion of Rob Demovsky on Tuesday, June 30.
Footballguys view: With deals done for Jayden Reed and Christian Watson this offseason, Kraft should be next up. But Demovsky acknowledges it could be complicated because of the torn ACL that ended his season in November. To that point, Kraft was one of the league's most productive tight ends with 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns in eight games. Nonetheless, a deal appears likely given that both sides have stated their desire to go forward together. Kraft, despite the knee injury, is being drafted as TE6 based on the expectation he'll be ready Week 1. We'll be watching for more.

Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett is seeking more guaranteed money from the team ahead of the 2026 season, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.
Footballguys view: Brissett left Arizona's mandatory minicamp without a reworked contract for 2026, leaving his situation in flux. He broke his offseason holdout during mandatory minicamp earlier this month to avoid being fined for not showing up, but he essentially turned his appearance into a hold-in. He's still looking for a reworked contract that will increase his guaranteed money from $1.5 million, according to Weinfuss. Coach Mike LaFleur said conversations with Brissett will be ongoing during the team's six-week break before the team reports to minicamp July 22. "We'll see where it goes," LaFleur said. Stay tuned.

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Wilson is in talks with the team on a contract extension, and they are 'going great,' according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.
Footballguys view: As Weinfuss noted, Wilson is heading into his first contract year at exactly the right time. He's fresh off his first 1,000-yard season and was a key component to Arizona's offense in 2025, a role that'll likely continue into 2026. A 2023 third-round draft pick, Wilson knows that his 1,006 yards last season will help him "a lot" in his negotiations. Wilson hopes to stay in Arizona long-term, citing a desire to play for one team throughout his career. For our purposes, Wilson continues to offer great value as WR39 in Round 7.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook could become a bigger part of the passing game with new offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, in the opinion of beat writer Matt Parrino.
Footballguys view: Parrino noted that Carmichael's time in New Orleans, working under Sean Payton, offers a clue: In his first five seasons as a pro, Alvin Kamara had the most receptions by a running back in any five-year span in NFL history. "I think one part of the evolution of this offense with Carmichael here now is getting Cook more involved in the passing game," Parrino said. Cook caught 44 passes in 2023, and Parrino believes that's a realistic total this year. Cook is being drafted as RB5 with the ninth pick overall. This news further solidifies that value.
Cleveland Browns WR KC Concepcion has made several plays during an offseason program that favors the passing game. The Browns got him the ball in a bevy of ways, from deep shots to screens to run plays, suggesting he could be used in a variety of ways, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN on Monday, June 29.
Footballguys view: Oyefusi went on to note that Concepcion showed off not only his elusiveness but also his ability to make tough catches at times. The Browns got him the ball in a variety of ways, from deep shots to screens to run plays. As Footballguy Jeff Bell noted, new coach Todd Monken developed Zay Flowers as his top receiver in Baltimore, a skillset Concepcion can replicate. It is easy to see Monken feature Concepcion and Harold Fannin Jr. this year. Concepcion, as WR57, is currently the first Browns receiver off the board, in the 10th round.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon was primarily featured in the slot during minicamp and workouts, and will be utilized in pre-snap motion with his short-area quickness being a key the team wants to take advantage of, in the opinion of Tim McManus of ESPN on Monday, June 29.
Footballguys view: According to McManus, pre-snap motion is expected to be featured in new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's scheme, and early indications suggest Lemon will be a big part of that. There were some expected growing pains, but Lemon's short-area quickness stands out. He was sidelined for minicamp because of a hamstring injury. Lemon, at WR38 in redraft ADP, is the second Philadelphia wideout being drafted (Devonta Smith is WR14). Landing Lemon as your WR4 in Round 7 offers some flexibility in allowing him to develop this year, while dynasty investors will have to land him in WR3 territory.
New York Jets WR Omar Cooper Jr. was the team's 'most impressive rookie in the spring' and has all but solidified a spot in the team's three-receiver package, in the opinion of Rich Cimini of ESPN on Monday, June 29.
Footballguys view: According to Cimini, Cooper is a smooth route runner who adjusted nicely to an NFL-style offense. Because of his physical style and run-after-catch ability, he should be even better when the pads go on in training camp. The question for Cooper, who will work behind Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell -- at least to open the season -- is whether he'll get sufficient opportunities to be fantasy relevant. Remember, the Jets also drafted TE Kenyon Sadiq, who joins Mason Taylor at that position. That said, Cooper is a great dynasty play with a great long-term outlook.
Seattle Seahawks RB Jadarian Price will reportedly 'share time' with RBs George Holani and Emanuel Wilson as Seattle waits for RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) to return from injury, according to a source on Monday, June 29. Price was also not drafted with the thought that he'd become a high-volume starter right away.
Footballguys view: As ESPN.com's Brady Henderson noted, Price will share time with Holani and Emanuel Wilson as Seattle waits for Zach Charbonnet to return. One question with Price is his ability to contribute in the passing game after he finished his college career with only 15 receptions. He looked plenty capable as a pass catcher during the spring, but how he handles pass protection will be a factor in earning playing time. All that said, Price's RB26 ADP leaves a lot of room for upside if the rookie begins asserting himself early in the season.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Tank Bigsby could earn a bigger offensive role if he performs well during training camp and the preseason, in the opinion of EaglesWire's Glenn Erby.
Footballguys view: Philadelphia's offense will still run through Saquon Barkley, but the Eagles need to be smart about preserving him over a 17-game season. Bigsby flashed during spring work, and his physical running style gives the offense a different kind of backup option if he earns trust in pass protection, short-yardage situations, and special teams. His camp role could shift quickly if the Eagles decide he is reliable enough to handle a regular workload rather than occasional snaps. Bigsby is being drafted as RB54 in Round 14.

Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman may be pushed by WR Ja'Kobi Lane and WR Elijah Sarratt for playing time if he does not have a strong training camp, in the opinion of RavensWire's Glenn Erby.
Footballguys view: Erby contends that Bateman isn't just facing real competition for his role in the passing game; he might be battling for a roster spot. Zay Flowers is the clear No. 1, and Baltimore invested in two rookie wideouts with traits that could translate quickly. Lane gives the Ravens size, catch radius, and red-zone potential, while Sarratt brings polish, route detail, and a skill set that could make him a trusted possession target for Jackson. That puts pressure on Bateman to stay healthy and reassert himself as more than a complementary option. We'll be watching for more on this in August.
