Seahawks | Tory Horton not on field this week Wed Jun 10, 06:17 PM
Seattle Seahawks WR Tory Horton (shin) was on the field during the mandatory minicamp this week but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp or the early stages of camp.
Link to storyFree-agent RB Sincere McCormick (49ers) signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers Wednesday, June 10. Financial terms were not disclosed. The team also waived RB Jordan Mims.
Footballguys view: The 49ers spent a third-round pick on Kaelon Black this year. They still have Jordan James as well, last year's fifth-rounder. Two years ago, they spent a fourth-round pick on Isaac Guerendo. Still, they are looking for extra depth. McCormick could end up being nothing but a camp body, but his addition could also signal a potential roster cut for one of the young guys, likely Gurendo, who has done little aside from special teams.
Jordan Mims player page
Buffalo Bills WR Skyler Bell (leg) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 10, and had his left leg wrapped.
Footballguys view: Bell was getting some buzz a few days ago, but we'll keep an eye on this leg injury. DJ Moore is the clear top option here. Khalil Shakir will remain heavily involved. But a disappointing start from Keon Coleman could allow for Bell to see the field on three-receiver sets. He's a polished receiver who can be a fun weapon for Josh Allen. He's a name to know as training camp approaches.
Free-agent WR Brandon E. Johnson (Steelers) signed with the Las Vegas Raiders Wednesday, June 10. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also placed WR Corey Rucker (undisclosed) on the Reserve/Injured list.
Link to storyKansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs Wednesday, June 10, and is now scheduled to be under contract until the 2033 season and is set to make $504.75 million during that span, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: The Chiefs will do whatever they can to retain Mahomes for as long as they can. He gets a restructured deal seemingly every offseason, as both parties appear aligned on a long-term vision.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson said he is fully healthy and has not felt this good since 2023.
Footballguys view: We'd feel a lot better if Watson said he felt like his 2020 self, as that's the last time he's played anything better than awful. Although Todd Monken won't declare a QB1, a lot of beat reporters are speculating that Watson has the inside track. In the final year of his deal, he hopes to earn another this year. With a new head coach and a handful of fun, young weapons around him, Watson is worth a cheap flyer in dynasty trades and late-round best ball picks.

Free-agent WR Deven Thompkins (Falcons) is participating in the Buffalo Bills mandatory minicamp this week on a tryout basis.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Brandon E. Johnson (Steelers) is expected to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a source.
Link to storyIndianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor said he wants to spend his entire career with the Colts. He is entering the final year of his current contract.
Footballguys view: Most running backs would probably want to spend their career running behind the Colts' line. Going into his age-27 season, Taylor will have a chance to raise his asking price with another strong season. He looked like the best running back in the NFL back in 2021. Since then, injuries and inconsistent play from his team have made his production volatile. But he looked like his old self last year, pushing him back into Round 1 of fantasy drafts.

New Orleans Saints RB Kendre Miller (knee) was able to participate in team drills during the voluntary workout Wednesday, June 10.
Footballguys view: The start of Miller's career has been marred by injuries, and 2025 ended with an ACL tear just as he was stringing together some good outings. After his injury, Devin Neal proved to be a capable back. Then the team signed Travis Etienne Jr. Alvin Kamara is still around as well. Miller would likely need multiple injuries ahead of him to see meaningful playing time at this point. The silver lining, however, is that he was drafted young. He'll likely hit free agency after this season, getting to test the market at 25 years old.

Free-agent WR Kaden Davis (Browns) worked out for the New York Jets Wednesday, June 10.
Link to storyCarolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan said he has added 17 pounds of muscle this offseason.
Footballguys view: McMillan wasn't a small guy coming into the league, using his size and strength to overpower receivers on contested balls. His speed has always left a bit to be desired, and size could impact that even more. We'll be watching closely throughout camp and the preseason to see if this extra bulk impacts his movement. Either way, McMillan proved capable of drawing an elite target share last year. He caught contested balls, made plays after the catch, and scored touchdowns, proving his skill set would transfer from college to the pros.
Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft (knee) said he expects to be ready for Week 1 and to be able to handle his normal workload.
Footballguys view: Kraft went down in Week 9, so a return in Week 1 isn't out of the question. He's been actively posting his recovery on social media, and looks good. Assuming he's back and healthy this year, Kraft could end up being a great deal in early drafts. At the time of his injury last season, he was the per-game TE1. Our ADP has him going off the board as the TE6.

New York Jets RB Braelon Allen said he currently weighs 250 pounds, which is up from the 238 to 240 pounds he was at last season.
Footballguys view: Allen was drafted just after his 20th birthday and seems to bulk up every offseason. Last season was cut short by injury, but he's still just 22 years old. Breece Hall's extension puts him an injury away from any meaningful workload, but Allen is a great dynasty stash and late-round best ball target.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon (hamstring) is not participating in practice Wednesday, June 10.
Footballguys view: Lemon's hamstring has been an issue since rookie minicamps started. He and the team would like to see him healthy for the start of training camp. Any time missed during the summer for a rookie can be problematic. Drafters hope to see him back on the field soon, as the first-rounder will have a clear chance to be the team's secondary receiver.
Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith is not participating in practice Wednesday, June 10, because of a personal issue.
Footballguys view: Smith is set up for a career season in the wake of the A.J. Brown trade. Vets taking a day off during voluntary minicamp is usually a non-story. We'll speculate if he's not at mandatory minicamps, but there's no reason to expect that.
DeVonta Smith player page
New York Giants TE Thomas Fidone II (foot) recently underwent a procedure on his foot and will hopefully be ready for the start of training camp, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Footballguys view: Fidone was great at Nebraska, but struggled to find a role as a rookie outside of special teams. It's hard to get too excited about a guy who couldn't crack the offensive rotation as a rookie. But a promising athletic profile and a new coaching staff make him a name to watch during training camp if he can get healthy.
New York Giants WR Beaux Collins (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury but is expected to be fine moving forward, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Link to storyNew York Jets TE Kenyon Sadiq (hernia) is running and working out on the side during practice Wednesday, June 10.
Footballguys view: Sadiq underwent a hernia procedure in late May, but the team expects him back before training camp. It's good to see him at minicamps and around the team, but we're still waiting for him to resume on-field activities.
Free-agent WR Stefon Diggs (Patriots) is unlikely to re-sign with the New England Patriots this offseason, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: Diggs is coming off a season with 1,013 receiving yards, despite a part-time role in this offense. He clearly has some left in the tank, but has yet to sign somewhere. With the acquisitions of A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs, Diggs would struggle to find playing time in New England. Diggs is no stranger to new environments, having played with four teams throughout his NFL career. He hopes to sign somewhere before training camp starts so he can get a full acclimation period to learn a new offense.
Stefon Diggs player page
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara is not participating in the voluntary workouts this week, but head coach Kellen Moore said Kamara is expected to be at the mandatory minicamp.
Footballguys view: It's not uncommon for long-term vets to sit out voluntary workouts. If Kamara isn't at mandatory minicamp next week, this will become a story. Until then, nothing to worry about.
Alvin Kamara player page
Green Bay Packers TE Luke Musgrave (undisclosed) suffered an undisclosed injury during practice Tuesday, June 9, and is working on the side at practice Wednesday, June 10.
Footballguys view: Musgrave's big opportunity came last year when Tucker Kraft went down with an ACL tear, but he didn't do much with it. He's already off the radar in best ball and redraft leagues. Any injury setbacks this offseason make it harder to consider rostering him in dynasty leagues.
Luke Musgrave player page
New York Jets fourth-round pick QB Cade Klubnik (back) won't practice Wednesday, June 10, due to back tightness.
Link to storyNew York Giants undrafted rookie PK Dominic Zvada has made all 13 of his field-goal attempts this spring, and PK Ben Sauls is 7-for-14.
Link to storyCleveland Browns first-round pick WR KC Concepcion signed a four-year, fully guaranteed rookie contract worth $20 million, according to a June 9 report.
Footballguys view: Concepcion profiles to be Cleveland's WR1. He's cut from the same cloth as Zay Flowers and Ladd McConkey, two receivers who found success under Todd Monken. A full guaranteed rookie deal means there will be no speed bumps to a full training camp, setting him up to be a potential breakout rookie.
Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) was on the field doing some light knee exercises on Tuesday, June 9, four months after reconstructive knee surgery for a torn ACL.
Footballguys view: With a surgery date of February 20th, expectations were that Charbonnet would be back late in the season, if at all. If Charbonnet is ahead of schedule, he'll almost surely push for a large workload, just as he did alongside Kenneth Walker. While it's too early to shoot Charbonnet up the rankings, managers expecting a big season from rookie Jadarian Price may be in for a rude awakening.

Arizona Cardinals Jacoby Brissett did not participate in on-field work during the Tuesday, June 9 minicamp, according to a report.
Footballguys view: Brissett is back at camp after a public contract dispute, but isn't participating in on-field work yet. He could just be getting warmed up and return as soon as tomorrow, but this is worth watching. With a new coaching staff, veteran Gardner Minshew should have a chance to win the Week 1 starting job. Third-round rookie Carson Beck will also push for snaps at some point this season. It's tough to know who will start the most games this year, or even in Week 1. This could be a fluid quarterback room all season. Brissett has proven capable of supporting multiple weapons in this offense, so fantasy managers should hope he'll return soon and regain his role as QB1.

Indianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce may miss the first few weeks of the 2026 season, according to coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: Reports about Pierce's ankle surgery came out shortly after he signed his $114 million extension. It's hard to imagine that the Colts would have offered him that without knowledge of the injury, but it was downplayed early on. This was the first report we've heard about a return timeline, and it's concerning. In Pierce's absence, Tyler Warren would likely be the primary target, with Josh Downs serving in a complementary role. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is next on the depth chart in a shockingly thin receiver room. If Pierce has to miss any time, the lack of a vertical threat could cause Jonathan Taylor to see more stacked fronts. We'll get more information during training camp, but Pierce should be knocked down quite a bit in rankings from this news.
New York Jets WR Quentin Skinner was reverted from waived-injured to injured reserve, according to a source on Tuesday, June 9.
Link to storyFree-agent P Aidan Laros (Buccaneers) was claimed by the Pittsburgh Steelers off waivers. In a corresponding move, the Steelers have released WR Brandon E. Johnson, according to a source on Tuesday, June 9.
Link to storyCleveland Browns HC Todd Monken is reportedly unlikely to name either QB Deshaun Watson or QB Shedeur Sanders the QB1 for the Browns by the end of Thursday's minicamp, saying 'I'm not there yet', according to a source on Tuesday, June 9.
Footballguys view: Monken might not be ready to name a starter, but most Cleveland reports have hinted at a lean towards Watson. Either way, this quarterback situation is set to be mercurial unless Watson can return to the player he was in Houston. Watson has the highest ceiling of the bunch, and investments in offensive skill players and Monken's system give him some late-round allure in best ball drafts. But John Madden famously said, "If you've got two quarterbacks, you have none." The Browns currently have two quarterbacks.

New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte has officially reported to New England's mandatory minicamp, according to a source on Tuesday, June 9.
Footballguys view: This news was expected despite Boutte being absent from the Patriots' voluntary workouts last month. Boutte mostly played at the same outside receiving spot that A.J. Brown does. The team may move Boutte around the formation (Footballguy Matt Waldman believes Boutte would be great as a slot receiver) to find a way to get him on the field in the last year of his rookie contract. Boutte could also be a midseason trade candidate if the Patriots can't find snaps for him and want to recoup something before he leaves in free agency.

Dallas Cowboys QBs Joe Milton and Sam Howell are getting equal reps in the competition for the backup job behind Dak Prescott.
Footballguys view: Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said today that Howell and Milton are in an open competition to be the No. 2 quarterback in Dallas. "It's going to be a fun competition," Schottenheimer said. The Cowboys acquired Milton from the Patriots in a trade last year. He played in four games behind Prescott, completing 15 of 24 passes for 183 yards, with a touchdown and two interceptions. Howell signed with the Cowboys in March after spending last season as a backup for the Eagles. He has started 18 games in his career, all for the Commanders. We'll monitor this one all summer.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders is working with the first team offense during mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, June 9.
Footballguys view: Sanders' late push during OTAs has complicated things here. His improved command of the offense and more efficient play have given head coach Todd Monken reason to keep the competition open. Most of the offseason, Deshaun Watson appeared to have the edge over Sanders based on his superior athleticism and experience. But Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com reports that Sanders seemed to have narrowed the gap the past couple of weeks with his grasp of the playbook and increased efficiency. This development could lead Monken to hold off on naming or even determining his QB1 until sometime during training camp.
Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen says the competition for the backup job between QBs Anthony Richardson Sr. and Riley Leonard remains 'back and forth right now.'
Footballguys view: The Colts have a full quarterback room for the foreseeable future after Richardson's time spent on the trade block failed to land any suitors during the 2026 NFL Draft. So, he'll continue to battle Leonard for the spot behind Daniel Jones, who is working back from his Achilles rehab. SI.com believes that Leonard is viewed as the better fit for this version of Steichen's offense with Jones at the helm, and the subsequent backup of the future, whereas Richardson remains the unrefined, oft-injured project that could be fun to fix.
Anthony Richardson Sr. player page
Indianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce (ankle) and DL DeForest Buckner (neck) will not participate in OTAs, according to head coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: Pierce underwent offseason surgery on a lingering ankle injury, but should be back on the field for training camp. Pierce, who's led the NFL in yards per catch the last two seasons, has become a well-rounded wideout, able to attack different levels of the field in a variety of ways. With Michael Pittman Jr. traded to the Steelers, Pierce is set to serve as the team's top downfield weapon. He's being drafted as WR33. Like Pierce, Buckner is focused on being ready for training camp.
Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (personal reasons) is not practicing at the team's OTA session on Tuesday, June 9.
Footballguys view: Lamb's absence shouldn't be of any concern. As SI.com suggests, he'll likely be back at practice in no time, barring injury. We'll watch for more on that, but there's nothing here that changes Lamb's 2026 expectations or draft stock.
CeeDee Lamb player page
Miami Dolphins QB Malik Willis looked 'more comfortable' with the team's offense this week, according to head coach Jeff Hafley.
Footballguys view: In fact, Hafley, who was around Willis for the last two seasons with the Packers, told reporters on Tuesday that Willis has "looked as good as he's looked since I've known him." Willis, 27, played well when called upon as Green Bay's backup over the last two seasons. In his 11 appearances with three starts, Willis completed 79 percent of his passes for 972 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushed for 261 yards with three TDs in that span. That rushing equity makes him an interesting prospect at his current QB21 ADP.
Updating previous reports, Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson's four-year deal is worth up to $110.5 million, but the base value is $97.5 million over five years. The deal includes $18.5 million in incentives related to Pro Bowls, catches, receiving yards and touchdowns.
Footballguys view: Watson got a $23 million average in new money, but because he had one year left on his deal, the real average is lower. Additionally, the Packers' wide receiver had only $31 million in guarantees. That's the signing bonus, and there are no guarantees beyond it. That said, $23 million is good money based on what Watson has done so far as an NFL player. As AtoZSport's Wendell Ferreira suggested, even if the Packers are treating Watson as a real WR1, his deal looks more like high-end WR2 money, and that's a fair assessment of his market value.
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (foot) recently underwent a procedure on a foot injury he suffered during the offseason but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to a source.
Footballguys view: As USA Today notes, Rodriguez was the lone outside addition made by the Jaguars this offseason during the free agency period. He will be competing with Bhayshul Tuten for the top spot on the Jaguars' running back depth chart, but regardless of who holds the RB1 title, both players will be big factors on offense this season. But Rodriguez will need to recover as expected. We'll be watching for more on that when training camp opens.
Carolina Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks needs to stay healthy, but could potentially become the lead back in Carolina over Chuba Hubbard, in the opinion of Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com on Monday, June 8.
Footballguys view: Wolfe identified Brooks as the team's wild-card player. As USA Today's Anthony Rizzuti reminded readers, two ACL tears, both to the same knee, have limited Brooks to only three NFL games since he was selected in the second round of the 2024 draft. But Brooks, over the past few weeks, was able to fully participate in organized team activities for the first time in his career. How Brooks will fit into that backfield with Hubbard and Trevor Etienne will be one of the things to watch as the Panthers head into training camp next month.
Chuba Hubbard player page
Arizona Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love has received work as a kick returner during offseason workouts, but special teams coordinator Michael Ghobiel indicated that Love may only be an emergency option for the position.
Footballguys view: Please note the "an emergency option" portion of that news. The Cardinals didn't use the third pick overall to have Love work as a return man. He's there to be the lead back in Mike LaFleur's offense. Will he share with Tyler Allgeier, James Conner and/or Trey Benson. To some degree. But Love's RB13 ADP isn't out of line and a top-10 fantasy finish this season is in his range of outcomes.
Kansas City Chiefs RB Emari Demercado has consistently been the RB2 behind free-agent acquisition Kenneth Walker III in solo drills and also, 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills in OTAs, according to Charles Goldman of AtoZ Sports on Monday, June 8.
Footballguys view: Goldman reminded readers that Demercado has been written off a bit because of the addition of Emmett Johnson in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, the coaching staff still appears to be very high on him and his abilities. Things can obviously change throughout the course of an offseason, but Goldman believes that after OTAs it feels like Demercado is closer to RB2 in Kansas City than any other prospect.
Free-agent WR Brandin Cooks (Bills) said he plans to play in the 2026 season.
Footballguys view: According to ProFootballRumors.com, Cooks, who revealed the news on an interview with SiriusXM Radio, didn't indicate which teams have shown interest in him. The six-time 1,000-yard wideout ended 2025 with the Bills, who became his sixth team after the Saints waived him in November, and the sides were still in contact earlier in the offseason. It is unknown if the Bills remain open to re-signing Cooks after trading a second-round pick to the Bears for DJ Moore and spending a fourth-rounder on rookie Skyler Bell.

Free-agent K B.T. Potter has reportedly signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source on Monday, June 8. The Buccaneers have also waived P Aidan Laros.
Link to storySeattle Seahawks WR Levi Wentz was waived Monday, June 8.
Link to storyUndrafted free-agent WR Malick Meiga (Coastal Carolina) signed with the Carolina Panthers Monday, June 8. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived TE Heinrich Haarberg.
Link to storyUpdating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett officially reported for the mandatory minicamp Monday, June 8.
Footballguys view: Again, it's not clear how much on-field work Brissett will do after missing all the team's voluntary OTA sessions. Rookie Carson Beck and Gardner Minshew worked with the first team offense in Brissett's absence. We'll continue to monitor the situation, but it's widely believed the two sides will come to an agreement before the season starts. The question will be how much work Brissett does until then.

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) is participating in practice Monday, June 8.
Footballguys view: Skattebo, who said mid-May that he expects to be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 regular season, is about eight months removed from the dislocated right ankle that limited him to eight games as a rookie. As CBSSports.com suggests, while it doesn't yet appear that the 2025 fourth-round pick has been cleared for full team drills, seeing him move fluidly on the field in individual work is encouraging. We'll continue to watch for more, but Skattebo being fully cleared for the start of training camp is within the range of outcomes here.
New York Jets WR Quentin Skinner (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation Monday, June 8, according to a source.
