New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins (abdomen) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 22.
Footballguys view: Let's see if Hollins can get out there on Sunday against the Broncos. He's coming back from IR with this abdomen injury and not a lock to play. If he does play, Hollins will block (his forte) and be a deep threat for the Pats.

Denver Broncos WR Pat Bryant (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 22.
Footballguys view: Good news for the Broncos here. Bryant was going to be a big part of their plan against the Bills but was concussed for the second time in about a month. He's been seen wearing a guardian cap in practice, and Bryant could wear one in the game to keep him better protected.
Denver Broncos WR Troy Franklin (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 22.
Footballguys view: It's not a guarantee Franklin plays on Sunday. Speedy receivers can be bothered more than others by hamstring injuries. Let's see what his status is like on Friday.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) is expected to be ready for offseason activities, according to general manager Nick Caserio. 'He worked very hard,' Caserio said. 'I think our performance group, they do a really good job. I would anticipate him being available for the offseason. Knowing Tank, he's probably cautiously optimistic that he's going to be able to go out there and be Tank Dell.'
Footballguys view: Dell is coming back from a major knee injury suffered in the playoffs last year. He's an explosive player when healthy, and Dell gives CJ Stroud another dangerous weapon to target.

Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua faces the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game, and Nacua had 19 receptions for 300 yards and two touchdowns in the two regular season meetings with Seattle.
Footballguys view: Nacua is a nightmare for :checks notes: everyone in the NFL. Expect him to be a huge part of the Rams' passing attack (as per usual) in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.

Denver Broncos WR Troy Franklin (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Footballguys view: Franklin was out there, but a hamstring injury can really slow down a speedy receiver. Likely without Pat Bryant (concussion), it would help if Franklin can be ready for Sunday's AFC Championship against the Patriots.
Denver Broncos WR Pat Bryant (concussion) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Footballguys view: Bryant needs to work his way through the league concussion protocol. With two concussions in the last month, that may be difficult for him to do.
San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is unlikely to play again for the team again, according to comments made by general manager John Lynch on Wednesday, Jan. 21.'I think it's safe to say he's played his last snap with the 49ers,' Lynch told reporters.
Footballguys view: Nobody is surprised by this after the 49ers put Aiyuk on the reserve/left squad list. Future guarantees in his contract are voided, and we'll see how the 49ers choose to resolve this issue with the talented yet oft-injured receiver.

New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins (abdomen) will not return to practice on Wednesday, Jan. 21, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: Hollins landed on IR in late December with this injury. Vrabel said "I can't be certain" when asked if Hollins would be able to play in the AFC Championship Game. Without Hollins, the team will turn to Kayshon Boutte as their downfield threat.

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison will not face charges and now will prepare for the filing of a civil claim arising from the alleged wrongful arrest.
Footballguys view: Addison, 23, was arrested on a misdemeanor trespassing charge last Monday at 3:46 a.m. He was later released on bond. A positive outcome is great, as this remains an important offseason for Addison. The Vikings will have to decide whether or not to pick up the former first-round pick's fifth-year option. Addison is emerging from a down season, in which he caught a career-low 42 passes for 610 yards (he also had six drops). We'll be watching for more.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (knee) is likely to be released and designated a post-June 1 cut, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques, who writes it remains 'unclear' when he'll be able to return after dislocating his knee. Louis-Jacques adds that this would be the 'most fiscally reasonable solution.'
Footballguys view: New GM Jon-Eric Sullivan will have to decide on the futures of several players, including Hill. With Sullivan stressing the importance of team culture, it's hard to imagine a scenario in which Hill is part of this franchise going forward. The real question is what teams might be interested in the veteran speedster. We'll be watching for more.

San Francisco 49ers WR Jauan Jennings is a free-agent-to-be, and he deferred to his agent when questioned about whether he would play under the projected franchise tag of $28 million for 2026.
Footballguys view: According to USA Today's Kyle Madson, the 49ers aren't sure to tag Jennings given the inflated one-year valuation, so he's likely to test the unrestricted free agent market for the first time in his career. With 1,618 yards and 15 touchdowns on 122 receptions over the last two years, it's understandable Jennings may want to look elsewhere to see if there's a sizable payday for him. However, ESPN's Nick Wagoner also noted Jennings "got a bit emotional" while discussing his time with the 49ers, so it's tough to rule out a return if the market isn't to his liking.
Jauan Jennings player page
Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams recorded a league-high 12 drops during the 2025 regular season.
Footballguys view: Yes, this was an issue, and Williams has room for improvement. As previously noted, there was still plenty to like here. Williams ranked third in the NFL with 23 receptions of 20-plus yards in 2025, and his 17.2 yards per reception ranked third among players who appeared in at least 10 games. He also posted career bests of 65 catches and 1,117 receiving yards en route to a WR21 finish. Williams will work on improving his strength this offseason. He'll likely work on his receiving as well.
Seattle Seahawks WR Rashid Shaheed had a 95-yard kickoff return for touchdown to open the NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers to open the game.
Footballguys view: It was just the third postseason kickoff return for touchdown in franchise history, and only the 28th kickoff return for touchdown in a playoff game in NFL history.
Free-agent RB Frank Gore Jr. (Bills), WR Stephen Gosnell (Bills) and WR Mecole Hardman (Bills) signed Reserve/Future contracts with the Buffalo Bills Monday, Jan. 19. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) tried to be medically cleared to play before the end of the 2025 season but was not able to return in time, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Footballguys view: Ryans added that he's excited to see Dell back on the field next season. The speedy Dell dislocated his left kneecap and tore ligaments in that knee in December of last season. Through 25 NFL games, Dell has 98 catches for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns.

New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins' (abdomen) availability for the AFC Championship game is uncertain at this point, according to head coach Mike Vrabel. Hollins is currently on the Reserve/Injured list.
Footballguys view: Hollins is eligible to come off injured reserve this week after being placed on the list in late December. Hollins was a key offensive factor for New England in 2025, catching 46 passes for 550 yards with two touchdowns in 15 games. He was third on the team in receptions behind Stefon Diggs and Hunter Henry and fourth in receiving yards behind Diggs, Henry, and Kayshon Boutte. New England's first injury report of the week will be released on Wednesday.

Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore is likely to be traded during the offseason, in the opinion of ESPN's Ben Solak, who notes that Moore has little bonus money left, allowing the team to move on from him even though he still has four years remaining on his deal. Solak adds that the team is set at the position with WRs Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III, and that Moore will have a market.
Footballguys view: As SI.com's Khari Thompson suggested, Moore hasn't consistently been the difference-maker he's being paid to be. And if he's going to give the ball away in important moments -- and many observers contend Moore stopped running on a route that allowed Kam Curl to make an easy pick that led to the Rams' OT win in last night's Divisional Playoff loss, he might have to go. Trading him feels like a distinct possibility this offseason.

Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams ranked third in the NFL with 23 receptions of 20-plus yards in 2025, and his 17.2 yards per reception ranked third among players who appeared in at least 10 games.
Footballguys view: Williams continued his progression in his fourth season as a pro. The 24-year-old wideout posted career bests of 65 catches and 1,117 receiving yards. He has recorded back-to-back campaigns with 1,000 receiving yards. He's averaged 17 yards per catch in his career and 17.2 yards per reception the past two years combined. Williams finished the season as WR21. While he benefited greatly from Dan Campbell taking over as playcaller, a new offensive coordinator will likely change that. We'll be watching for more.
Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford completed 20 of his 42 passes for 258 yards in a 20-17 overtime win over the Chicago Bears in the Divisional Round. RB Kyren Williams rushed for a team-high 87 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries and added four grabs four 30 yards. RB Blake Corum was held in check, finishing with six carries for 19 yards. WR Puka Nacua and TE Colby Parkinson tied for the team lead with 56 receiving yards. Parkinson caught three passes, and Nacua had five receptions to go along with two carries for six yards. Davante Adams was limited to two catches for 24 yards, and TE Tyler Higbee had just one catch for 27 yards. WR Jordan Whittington finished with two receptions for 35 yards. S Kamren Curl turned in a standout performance, logging a team-high 13 tackles, including seven solo stops, and an interception. LB Nathan Landman finished with 10 tackles, including five solo stops, and CB Cobie Durant had two tackles, three passes defensed and a pair of interceptions.
Footballguys view: The Rams' offense -- a unit that led the league in offensive DVOA during the regular season -- struggled for much of their 20-17 divisional-round win against the Chicago Bears. Through three quarters, the Rams had 174 yards, their fewest of the season, according to ESPN Research. But the Rams' defense stepped up when they needed to most, with safety Kam Curl intercepting a Caleb Williams pass in overtime to give Los Angeles the ball back at their 22-yard line. While not a pretty game for the Rams, it was enough to send them to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since they won Super Bowl LVI during the 2021 season. Now get ready for Rams vs. Seahawks Part III.

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams completed 23 of his 42 passes for 257 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in a 20-17 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round. He added 40 rushing yards on five carries. RB D'Andre Swift rushed 19 times for 76 yards, and RB Kyle Monangai chipped in 36 rushing yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 36 yards. TE Colston Loveland caught four passes for a team-high 56 yards, and WR DJ Moore had 52 receiving yards and a touchdown on a team-high five catches. WR Rome Odunze gained 44 receiving yards on two receptions, WR Luther Burden III added three catches for 24 yards, and TE Cole Kmet finished with three grabs for 31 yards and a game-tying touchdown that forced overtime. S Jaquan Brisker led the way on defense with a team-high 14 tackles, including eight solo stops, a sack and two passes defensed. CB Kyler Gordon, DE Montez Sweat and DE Dominique Robinson all recorded a sack in the loss.
Footballguys view: As ESPN.com's Courtney Cronin wrote, "They were the Cardiac Bears until the very end." After facing a seven-point deficit late in the game, Williams squeezed one more drop of fourth-quarter magic when he found Kmet in the corner of the north end zone at Soldier Field for a 14-yard touchdown to force the extra period. The Bears failed to score after their sole possession of overtime ended with Williams throwing an interception, his third of the game. Nonetheless, Ben Johnson's first year with the Bears was a resounding success despite Chicago falling short of reaching the title game as the NFC's No. 2 seed. The Bears finished with 11 wins in the regular season and their first playoff win in 15 years when they beat the Packers in the wild-card round.

Link to storyNew England Patriots QB Drake Maye completed 16-of-27 passes for 179 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the AFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans, advancing to face the Denver Broncos on the road in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 25. RB Rhamondre Stevenson (eye) returned to finish with 16 carries and 70 yards, while adding four receptions for 11 yards on four targets. Rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson had 12 runs for 25 yards, while adding a catch for minus-2 yards on two targets. WR Kayshon Boutte hauled in three receptions for a game-high 75 yards and a TD on five targets, with WR Stefon Diggs posted four receptions, 40 yards and a TD on a team-best six targets. WR DeMario Douglas also had two catches for 36 yards and a score, with TE Austin Hooper posting a 14-yard grab on two targets, TE Hunter Henry posting a 5-yard catch on two targets and CB Christian Gonzalez leading the team with nine total stops and six solo tackles with a pass defensed. CB Marcus Jones had two stops with two passes defensed and a 26-yard interception for touchdown.
Footballguys view: Like the other teams remaining in these playoffs, the Patriots have their own flaws but have overcome them in resounding fashion through two playoff games by turning up the intensity defensively and riding the wave of excitement at home. They're now one game from returning to the Super Bowl -- Sunday's AFC Championship Game at the Bo Nix-less Denver Broncos -- a reality that would have been inconceivable just one year ago.

Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud completed 20-of-47 passes for 212 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions in the AFC Divisional Round playoff game loss to the New England Patriots. RB Woody Marks rushed 14 times for just 17 yards, while posting two receptions for 19 yards, and RB Nick Chubb ran four times for 14 yards, while going without a catch on a single target. WR Jayden Higgins led the team with six receptions, 59 yards and 10 targets, while TE Dalton Schultz (calf) had two grabs for 47 yards before leaving with a calf injury. WR Xavier Hutchinson had four catches for 44 yards on 3 targets, TE Harrison Bryant had 21 yards on three catches with six targets and TE Cade Stover (knee) had a 2-yard reception on three targets before leaving with a knee ailment. WR Christian Kirk had two catches, 20 yards and a TD on six targets.
Footballguys view: The Texans, who rolled into Foxboro on a 10-game win streak and with a defense playing as well as any defense east of Seattle, had a golden opportunity. But, as ESPN.com's Dan Graziano suggested, C.J. Stroud was catastrophically bad in the first half, throwing four interceptions and putting his team into a hole from which even its stifling defense could not extract itself. This performance came six days after Stroud fumbled five times and turned the ball over three times in a wild-card-round victory over the Steelers that was closer in the fourth quarter than it should have been. So, the Texans have work to do this offseason.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy completed 15 of his 27 passes for 140 yards and an interception and rushed five times for 37 yards and lost a fumble in a 41-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round. RB Christian McCaffrey (stinger) dealt with a stinger but managed 11 carries for 35 yards and caught five passes for 39 yards, and RB Jordan James added six carries for 28 yards and caught a seven-yard pass. TE Jake Tonges (foot) caught five passes for a team-high 59 yards before exiting with a foot injury, and WR Jauan Jennings had two grabs for 23 yards. WR Ricky Pearsall and WR Kendrick Bourne were both targeted twice, but neither caught a pass, and WR Demarcus Robinson gained a yard on his only catch. LB Dee Winters tied for the team lead with nine tackles, including three tackles for loss, and LB Eric Kendricks also had nine stops. S Malik Mustapha chipped in eight tackles and a sack.
Footballguys view: The 49ers offense came in shorthanded due to injuries and then lost Jake Tonges during the game and also didn't have Christian McCaffrey for part of the game. It was just too much for them to overcome against a great and balanced team like Seattle. The 49ers overachieved when you consider what they lost to injury, but the team needs to figure out what they seem to have such bad injury luck.

Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold completed 12 of his 17 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in a 41-6 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round. RB Kenneth Walker III rushed 19 times for 106 yards and three touchdowns and caught three passes for 29 yards. WR Cooper Kupp caught five passes for a team-high 60 yards, and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had three grabs for 19 yards and a score. WR Rashid Shaheed gained 27 yards on two carries, and he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. TE AJ Barner was not targeted, but he did have a two-yard carry. LB Ernest Jones IV had six tackles and an interception, and DL Leonard Williams and DL DeMarcus Lawrence both recorded a sack.
Footballguys view: The Seahawks scored on the first play of the game when Rashid Shaheed return the kickoff for a score, and they were up 17-0 at the end of the first quarter. It just got worse from there for the 49ers. The Seahawks pass offense didn't have to break a sweat, so it wasn't a big statistical game for Sam Darnold, but Ken Walker dominated a banged up 49ers defense and Darnold didn't show ill effects from the oblique injury he suffered during the practice last week. The Seahawks will host the NFC title game next week.

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix completed 26 of his 46 passes for 279 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a 33-30 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. He also rushed 12 times for a team-high 29 yards. RB RJ Harvey finished with 20 rushing yards on six carries and caught five passes for 46 yards, and RB Jaleel McLaughlin gained 21 yards on four carries. WR Marvin Mims caught a touchdown while leading the team with both eight receptions and 93 receiving yards. WR Courtland Sutton finished with 53 yards on four receptions, and WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey caught two passes for 33 yards and a score. WR Pat Bryant (concussion) had three receptions for 32 yards before exiting the game, and TE Evan Engram caught one pass for seven yards. OT Frank Crum chipped in a seven-yard touchdown catch. On the defensive side of the ball, LB Alex Singleton led the way with a team-high 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops. S Talanoa Hufanga had 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and forced a fumble. S P.J. Locke had nine tackles and an interception, and DE Malcolm Roach had five tackles, 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits.
| Footballguys view: Nix made big throws in the first half and then late in the fourth quarter, but Josh Allen was able to overcome three turnovers in regulation to send the game to overtime. Nix led the team to a game-winning field goal after Allen's fourth turnover in overtime, but broke his ankle on the next to last play of the drive and will not be able to play in the AFC Championship game. Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen completed 25 of his 39 pass attempts for 283 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in a 33-30 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round. He added 12 carries for 66 yards and lost two fumbles, and RB James Cook rushed 24 times for 117 yards, caught two passes for 24 yards and lost a fumble. RB Ray Davis didn't log a carry, but he did catch two passes for 33 yards. TE Dalton Kincaid caught six passes for a team-high 83 yards and a score, and WR Khalil Shakir finished with 75 receiving yards on a team-high seven receptions. WR Keon Coleman caught a 10-yard touchdown, and WR Mecole Hardan hauled in a four-yard score. TE Dawson Knox added three receptions for 32 yards, and WR Brandin Cooks caught two passes for 20 yards. S Cole Bishop recorded a team-high 12 tackles, including seven solo stops and two tackles for loss, and CB Cam Lewis finished with 10 tackles and two passes defensed.
Footballguys view: A team can't expect to turn the ball over five times and win on the road in the playoffs, and yet the Bills had multiple to chance to do just that despite being down 23-10 in the second half. This one will haunt Josh Allen the most, as he hadn't committed a turnover in a long time in the postseason coming into this game. The Bills will go into another offseason wondering how to keep this from happening again.
