Saints | Damien Alford let go Mon Jun 22, 05:21 PM
New Orleans Saints WR Damien Alford (undisclosed) was waived from the Reserve/Injured list Monday, June 22.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys WR Ryan Flournoy is 'one of those guys - because he does everything right' that Dak Prescott trusts implicitly, according to head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
Footballguys view: As ESPN.com's Todd Archer noted, Flournoy is coming off a 40-catch, 475-yard, four-touchdown season a year ago, when he had two 100-yard games. If something happens to CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, the Cowboys know what they have in Flournoy. He is strong at attacking the ball. This offseason, he has worked in the slot more. At the very least, he'll be in the mix as their WR3.
Las Vegas Raiders WR Malik Benson showed a strong connection with QB Fernando Mendoza during offseason workouts and has a chance to earn a role in the passing game if he performs well during training camp, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Ryan McFadden.
Footballguys view: According to McFadden, the Raiders drafted Benson in the sixth round with the belief that the former Oregon wideout could be a vertical threat who opens up the offense and makes explosive plays. He showcased that ability throughout OTAs and minicamp. Benson was Mendoza's go-to target during team drills, especially in the middle of the field. McFadden added that the competition at wide receiver is wide open, meaning Benson has a chance to create a role for himself in Year 1 if his production continues during training camp.
Baltimore Ravens WR Devontez Walker was a standout performer during offseason workouts and was able to stretch the field on a consistent basis, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley.
Footballguys view: The pressure is on Walker, a fourth-round pick in 2024, after Baltimore drafted two wide receivers: Ja'Kobi Lane in the third round and Elijah Sarratt in the fourth round. Still, Walker is competing for the No. 3 spot behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Walker has made the most of his limited opportunities, scoring touchdowns on four of his seven career catches.
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. and Trevor Lawrence have 'taken a huge step' in building their rapport this offseason, according to John Oehser of the team's website.
Footballguys view: After recording nearly 1,300 yards and finishing the season as fantasy's WR2 in 2024 as a rookie, Thomas Jr. totaled only 707 yards this past season. This included dealing with dropped passes and catching just 49 percent of the passes thrown his way. So one of the points of emphasis this offseason has been Thomas Jr. and Lawrence continuing to build their chemistry within Liam Coen's offense. While it's still early, the reporting from OTAs and minicamp has been positive. That's good news because Thomas Jr. is the first Jaguar WR off the board as WR33.
Cleveland Browns WR Isaiah Bond was the receiver targeted the most this spring.
Footballguys view: Being the most targeted receiver is no mean feat, considering the team drafted KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in the first two rounds of April's Draft. According to ESPN.com's Daniel Oyefusi, Bond continued to display his speed and showed off the 15 pounds of muscle he added this offseason with a bunch of contested catches. Worth noting, only three Cleveland receivers -- Concepcion, Boston, and Jerry Jeudy -- currently show up in our ADP rankings. Bond might be the ultimate free square play in best ball drafts. He's also a player to watch during training camp.
New York Jets WR Adonai Mitchell showed a rapport with QB Geno Smith, and his grasp of the system allowed him to exhibit vertical speed.
Footballguys view: According to ESPN.com's Rich Cimini, the Jets figured Mitchell would take a leap this offseason -- his first with the team -- but he has exceeded their expectations. Mitchell, acquired from the Colts last November in the Sauce Gardner trade, solidified himself as the No. 2 receiver. Cimini believes Mitchell, who is currently being drafted as WR76, should be a nice complement to Garrett Wilson.
Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs lined up in the slot and out wide during minicamp.
Footballguys view: The departure of Michael Pittman opens up the opportunity for Downs to hold a much larger role in the Colts' offense. As SI.com's Andrew Moore reminded readers, Downs never saw the field as much as Pittman and Pierce over the last three years, as the bigger wide receivers stayed on the field in 12 personnel. While 2025 was a down year to his standards, Downs could be poised for a career year, just in time for him to cash in as a free agent next offseason. For our purposes, Downs' RB48 ADP and 9th-round price make him a great value.

Indianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce is expected to receive 'close to double the number of targets' than he did last season, according to Andrew Moore of SI.com.
Footballguys view: Pierce did not participate in Indy's offseason program after undergoing a procedure on his ankle, and it's possible he could miss some time in training camp as well. However, the Colts have no concerns about Pierce and believe he will hit the ground running when he is healthy. And the team didn't pay sign him to a four-year, $114 million extension in March and part with Michael Pittman Jr. in the process, for Pierce to be anything but their top downfield weapon. The question is, will he deliver? As WR32, it's not cost-prohibitive to find out.
Tennessee Titans WR Wan'Dale Robinson has the best chance to lead the team in scrimmage yards in 2026, according to Nick Arvin of SI.com.
Footballguys view: While rookie Carnell Tate will still be a major factor as a rookie, his presence could actually help Robinson reach another level. With defenses focused on Tate and Elic Ayomanor on the outside, Robinson should find favorable matchups working from the slot, exactly where he thrives. But a bigger reason why Robinson could lead the Titans in scrimmage yards is his familiarity with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. Robinson played under Daboll in New York and enjoyed some of the most productive seasons of his career in that system. Robinson is being drafted as WR46 in Round 8.
San Francisco 49ers WR De'Zhaun Stribling is competing for the starting slot receiver role with WRs Christian Kirk and Demarcus Robinson. He showed he could catch the ball across the middle during his time at Oklahoma State in 2024, but at Ole Miss in 2025, he struggled in the role. However, if he impresses, the belief is that he could start since the team is so invested in him, while Kirk and Robinson are considered expendable.
Footballguys view: Stribling is an excellent blocker, and he's got a ton of speed for the position. As a slot receiver, there are many things a player like Stribling could do to help an offense. We love Stribling in dynasty formats, but behind Mike Evans and Ricky Pearsall (if he wins the slot role) there might not be much fantasy value for Stribling in 2026. We see the rookie as a WR6 with upside.

Free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins (Ravens) could be of interest to the Washington Commanders, according to Jason La Canfora of SportsBoom.com. According to one anonymous NFL general manager, the Commanders are looking to bolster their receiving depth before the start of training camp.
Footballguys view: The report indicates Hopkins or Brandon Aiyuk may be of interest to the Commanders as they look to improve their roster. Hopkins is no longer the player he used to be, and last year with the Ravens he had just 22 catches for 330 yards and two touchdowns. A veteran behind Terry McLaurin would make sense, but we're not sure if Hopkins is the right fit for the Commanders.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk could be of interest to the Washington Commanders, according to Jason La Canfora of SportsBoom.com. According to one anonymous NFL general manager, the Commanders are looking to bolster their receiving depth before the start of training camp.
Footballguys view: Adam Peters used to work in the 49ers front office (2017-2023), so the GM of the Commanders knows more about Aiyuk than others. The team has Terry McLaurin as their no.1 receiver, but behind him are question marks and players without a ton of experience. Adding a seasoned veteran like Aiyuk, who needs a fresh start away from the 49ers, would make sense.

Dallas Cowboys WR George Pickens is unlikely to agree to terms on a contract extension during the 2026 season but could be offered one next offseason if he posts similar numbers to his 2025 campaign, in the opinion of NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Cowboys also appear unlikely to trade Pickens.
Footballguys view: Any movement on this contract will be the first movement we've heard of. Pickens has already signed his franchise tender, and he says he will not hold out of training camp. We like Pickens as a low-end WR1 with upside.
Miami Dolphins WR Jalen Tolbert was a favorite target for QB Malik Willis during offseason workouts and will likely be a candidate to start if he stays healthy, in the opinion of The Miami Herald's Omar Kelly.
Footballguys view: There is a slight drumbeat to what we're hearing about Tolbert this offseason. The Dolphins' passing attack relies on Willis progressing as a passer. There is perhaps more fantasy meat on the bone with guys like Tolbert than some would currently think. Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley said the team's passing offense is "a work in progress." Put a pin in this, and circle back during the preseason to see if this OTA storyline continues.
Buffalo Bills WR Joshua Palmer (ankle) participated in some team drills during the mandatory minicamp this week.
Footballguys view: Palmer is competing to be the no.3 receiver on the Bills' depth chart behind DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir. He should be pushed for that job by Keon Coleman (and others) in training camp.

Miami Dolphins WR Malik Washington is becoming more than just a weapon out of the slot,' according to head coach Jeff Hafley. 'I think he's getting better as a route runner,' Hafley said.
Footballguys view: Washington's game is all about explosion and run-after-the-catch ability. Earlier reports out of Dolphins camp this year indicated Washington seemed to be picking up the offense faster than the other receivers. We'll see what kind of noise he can make in training camp and the preseason as Washington's connection with QB Malik Willis should be monitored closely. He's a WR6/deep flex for Fantasy GMs, but the upside is there for him to be more.
Undrafted free-agent WR Lawrence Keys (Bills) signed with the Detroit Lions Friday, June 19. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Link to storyChicago Bears WR Zavion Thomas was able to make plays during offseason workouts and can be involved in the passing games for years to come if he can become comfortable with the offense, according to QB Caleb Williams.
Footballguys view: Thomas is incredibly dangerous with the ball in his hands, both as a receiver and as a return man. The Bears wanted to add more YAC to the passing game, and Williams should love how Thomas performs in that department. Thomas is gadget player, but he could push Kalif Raymond for the no.3 spot at the wide receiver position behind Rome Odunze and Luther Burden.
Los Angeles Chargers fourth-round draft choice WR Brenen Thompson signed a four-year contract with the Chargers Thursday, June 18. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Thompson is one of the most explosive skill position players in this draft class. Even though he has a slight frame (165 pounds), Thompson is blazing fast and can cut on a dime. New Chargers OC Mike McDaniel should be able to craft many ways to use Thompson's speed and quickness to attack a defense. The rookie's speed helps to stretch the field while guys like Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston do much of the work in the passing game.
Los Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston said he is excited about playing in offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel's system because it is similar to what he did during his college career.
Footballguys view: All Chargers are excited about this offense! Yes, with mandatory minicamps wrapped up around the league, we have entered the 'more fluff' mode of the offseason. All kidding aside, like Omarion Hampton (and others), Johnston should be incredibly excited. McDaniel is a much more dynamic designer than Greg Roman, so the Chargers should look more innovative on offense in 2026. We like Johnston as a WR4/5 for Fantasy GMs this year.

New Orleans Saints WR Bub Means (undisclosed), WR Mason Tipton (undisclosed) and WR Devaughn Vele (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 17, according to ESPN.com's Katherine Terrell.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Stefon Diggs (Patriots) said he is open to signing with the Washington Commanders this offseason.
Footballguys view: Diggs is now free and clear to play. Earlier this month, the NFL concluded that there was "insufficient evidence to support a finding of a personal conduct policy violation" for Diggs. With no suspension looming, some team - perhaps the Commanders - should have interest in the veteran receiver.

Dallas Cowboys WR Romello Brinson was waived Thursday, June 18.
Link to storyFree agent WR Denzel Mims (Jets) signed with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, June 18. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Mims played with the Dallas Renegades in the UFL this season, and he now gets another chance to play in the NFL. He's got a size/speed combination, but the former second-round pick (Jets, 2020) has never played up to his potential.
Denzel Mims player page
Cincinnati Bengals WR Colbie Young is in the mix to be the team's No. 3 receiver, according to offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher. 'I think he's going to fight and battle,' Pitcher said. 'He's a young player, but there are things that I think he can do quickly and help us.'
Footballguys view: Young, a fourth-round pick out of Georgia, has the upside to be a star "X" receiver when fully developed. Everyone compares him to Courtland Sutton, and like Sutton he is a big body that can play above the rim. Young will compete with Andrei Iosivas for the no.3 spot behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
Denver Broncos WR Jaylen Waddle has been involved in the passing game at all levels of the field during minicamp, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Waddle has been dazzling at Broncos camp this offseason. He can be the centerpiece of a passing game that led the NFL in passing attempts last season. The team needed more playmakers, and Waddle gives them their most explosive option. For Fantasy GMs, Waddle is a mid-range WR2 with the upside to work his way towards WR1 numbers. Catching passes from Bo Nix in a Sean Payton offense is a huge upgrade for Waddle.
Jaylen Waddle player page
New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson 'appears to be in mid-season form' based on his performance during minicamp, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Wilson is looking sharp while still dealing with "meh" quarterback play (at best). This year, the Jets are going with Geno Smith as their starter and Wilson should be his favorite target. That makes Wilson a mid-range WR2 with the upside to be a weekly WR1 for Fantasy GMs out there.
Tennessee Titans WR Wan'Dale Robinson caught eight passes from QB Cam Ward during practice Wednesday, June 17.
Footballguys view: The Titans signed Robinson in March, and he's a player that can make big plays for his quarterback. It sounds like Robinson is building quality chemistry with Ward at practice. We'll see if that continues into training camp and the preseason later this summer. With rookie WR Carnell Tate getting a lot of attention from opponents, Robinson should perform like a WR3 for Fantasy GMs.
Free-agent WR Justyn Ross (Chiefs) recently worked out for the Washington Commanders.

Denver Broncos WR Michael Woods II (undisclosed) was moved to the Reserve/Injured Wednesday, June 17, after clearing waivers.
Link to storyDetroit Lions WR Kyre Duplessis was waived Wednesday, June 17.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Antwane Wells (Giants) signed with the Atlanta Falcons Wednesday, June 17. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also released WR Casey Washington.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys WR George Pickens said he is ready to play on the franchise tag tender this upcoming season and plans to be a full participant during training camp.
Footballguys view: As SI.com noted, the expectation was always that Pickens wouldn't hold out after he signed his franchise tag, but knowing the mercurial wideout's history, assuming anything with him is a risky proposition. But Pickens alleviated any concerns on Wednesday. "Like I said, the group of guys that's with the Cowboys kind of prevents you [from holding out]," Pickens said. "I talk to Dak [Prescott] . . . He's definitely gonna make you not want to hold out." Pickens led the team in targets (137), catches (93), yards (1,429), and touchdowns (eight) in 2025, his first season in Dallas.
New Orleans Saints WR Jordyn Tyson (undisclosed) was limited during practice Tuesday, June 16.
Footballguys view: Tyson has been sidelined or limited for the majority of OTAs due to a nagging hamstring injury. Tyson is expected to continue to be limited for their mandatory minicamp as well. As SI.com suggests, this is likely just the team being overly cautious, but because of his injury history, it's noteworthy. We'll be watching closely when training camp opens next month to see what Tyson's level of participation is before we start rethinking his value.
Los Angeles Chargers WR Brenen Thompson (undisclosed) left practice early with a trainer Tuesday, June 16, because of an undisclosed reasons, according to ESPN.com's Kris Rhim.
Link to storyFree-agent QB Hunter Dekkers (Saints) and WR Jalen Moreno-Cropper (Cowboys) signed with the New Orleans Saints Wednesday, June 17. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. The team also waived/injured WR Damien Alford (undisclosed).
Link to storyFree-agent WR Tay Martin (Commanders) signed with the Detroit Lions Wednesday, June 17. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also placed WR Kendrick Law (knee) on the Reserve/Injured list.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons WR Drake London (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Tuesday, June 16, because of a minor injury. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said London could have practiced if needed but was held out as a precaution.
Footballguys view: Via Will McFadden of the team's website, Stefanski said on Wednesday that London is dealing with a "little thing" and the club is being "ultra cautious" with the wideout. Stefanski added that London could have practiced, but the head coach decided to hold him out of the session. We'll continue to watch this. But for now, there's no reason to view London as anything but the fantasy WR1 candidate he is.
New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave, who has not fully practiced since Week 17 of last season, will reportedly get off of blood thinners on June 29 to potentially be fully cleared for all football activities, according to a source on Tuesday, June 16. Olave has only done individual work during the Saints' offseason training program after missing Week 18 with a blood clot in his lung.
Footballguys view: The Saints' offense was effective with Tyler Shough under center in 2025, which opened the door for Olave to emerge as the fantasy player we've all been waiting for. In fact, he finished the season as WR6 after closing out the year with 20 or more fantasy points in his final three games. He hit career highs in targets (156), receptions (100), yardage (1,163), and touchdowns (nine). But this issue is one of the reasons he's being drafted as WR11 with the 27th pick overall. Drafting him as your second receiver could be a winning move.
Los Angeles Chargers WR Ladd McConkey reportedly strained his left hamstring during the Chargers' offseason program, but doesn't view it as a significant concern and expects to be ready for training camp, according to a source on Tuesday, June 16.
Footballguys view: "There's no reason to rush it and really push it and then have another setback, and then you bleed into training camp," McConkey told reporters. After what was perhaps the best rookie wide receiving season in team history, where he finished with 82 receptions, 1,149 yards, and seven touchdowns, McConkey took a step back in year two with lesser totals in almost every major category. He ended the 2025 season with 66 catches, 789 yards, and six touchdowns. Going into year three, he's planning for a bounce-back season. McConkey is being drafted as WR19 this year.
The Detroit Lions signsed WRs Lucky Jackson and Tarik Black on Tuesday, June 16. Black played in one game for the New York Jets in 2021.
Link to storyDenver Broncos WR Michael Woods II and CB Paul Manning were waived by the Broncos, according to a source on Tuesday, June 16. Woods II was waived with a waived/injured designation and Manning was waived with an injury settlement.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Steven Sims (Cardinals) is trying out for the New Orleans Saints at their minicamp, according to a source on Tuesday, June 16.

Los Angeles Chargers WR Ladd McConkey is 'working through something,' according to head coach Jim Harbaugh. No further details were provided.
Footballguys view: There's no indications that this is anything to be worried about, but McConkey isn't known for his durability, so we'll be tracking this when training camp opens next month. He did reveal that it was a hamstring injury suffered during Phase 2 of the offseason program, so a recurrence in camp would be a red flag. Harbaugh also said that he and offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel think McConkey could have a career year, so if you are in on McConkey, stay in on him.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice was released from jail Tuesday, June 16, after a 30-day sentence for a probation violation.
Footballguys view: If Rice is full go at the beginning of camp, we can probably restore him to his pre-incarceration ADP. He did have a cleanup knee surgery right before going in, so that's not a sure thing. 2025 fourth round pick Jalen Royals has flashed, but has also been inconsistent at times in place of Rice. It doesn't sound like the league is going to give Rice a suspension for his probation violation.
