Seahawks | Tory Horton not on field this week Wed Jun 10, 06:17 PM
Seattle Seahawks WR Tory Horton (shin) was on the field during the mandatory minicamp this week but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp or the early stages of camp.
Link to storyBuffalo Bills WR Skyler Bell (leg) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 10, and had his left leg wrapped.
Footballguys view: Bell was getting some buzz a few days ago, but we'll keep an eye on this leg injury. DJ Moore is the clear top option here. Khalil Shakir will remain heavily involved. But a disappointing start from Keon Coleman could allow for Bell to see the field on three-receiver sets. He's a polished receiver who can be a fun weapon for Josh Allen. He's a name to know as training camp approaches.
Free-agent WR Brandon E. Johnson (Steelers) signed with the Las Vegas Raiders Wednesday, June 10. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also placed WR Corey Rucker (undisclosed) on the Reserve/Injured list.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Deven Thompkins (Falcons) is participating in the Buffalo Bills mandatory minicamp this week on a tryout basis.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Brandon E. Johnson (Steelers) is expected to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a source.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Kaden Davis (Browns) worked out for the New York Jets Wednesday, June 10.
Link to storyCarolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan said he has added 17 pounds of muscle this offseason.
Footballguys view: McMillan wasn't a small guy coming into the league, using his size and strength to overpower receivers on contested balls. His speed has always left a bit to be desired, and size could impact that even more. We'll be watching closely throughout camp and the preseason to see if this extra bulk impacts his movement. Either way, McMillan proved capable of drawing an elite target share last year. He caught contested balls, made plays after the catch, and scored touchdowns, proving his skill set would transfer from college to the pros.
Philadelphia Eagles WR Makai Lemon (hamstring) is not participating in practice Wednesday, June 10.
Footballguys view: Lemon's hamstring has been an issue since rookie minicamps started. He and the team would like to see him healthy for the start of training camp. Any time missed during the summer for a rookie can be problematic. Drafters hope to see him back on the field soon, as the first-rounder will have a clear chance to be the team's secondary receiver.
Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith is not participating in practice Wednesday, June 10, because of a personal issue.
Footballguys view: Smith is set up for a career season in the wake of the A.J. Brown trade. Vets taking a day off during voluntary minicamp is usually a non-story. We'll speculate if he's not at mandatory minicamps, but there's no reason to expect that.

New York Giants WR Beaux Collins (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury but is expected to be fine moving forward, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Stefon Diggs (Patriots) is unlikely to re-sign with the New England Patriots this offseason, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: Diggs is coming off a season with 1,013 receiving yards, despite a part-time role in this offense. He clearly has some left in the tank, but has yet to sign somewhere. With the acquisitions of A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs, Diggs would struggle to find playing time in New England. Diggs is no stranger to new environments, having played with four teams throughout his NFL career. He hopes to sign somewhere before training camp starts so he can get a full acclimation period to learn a new offense.

Cleveland Browns first-round pick WR KC Concepcion signed a four-year, fully guaranteed rookie contract worth $20 million, according to a June 9 report.
Footballguys view: Concepcion profiles to be Cleveland's WR1. He's cut from the same cloth as Zay Flowers and Ladd McConkey, two receivers who found success under Todd Monken. A full guaranteed rookie deal means there will be no speed bumps to a full training camp, setting him up to be a potential breakout rookie.
Indianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce may miss the first few weeks of the 2026 season, according to coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: Reports about Pierce's ankle surgery came out shortly after he signed his $114 million extension. It's hard to imagine that the Colts would have offered him that without knowledge of the injury, but it was downplayed early on. This was the first report we've heard about a return timeline, and it's concerning. In Pierce's absence, Tyler Warren would likely be the primary target, with Josh Downs serving in a complementary role. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is next on the depth chart in a shockingly thin receiver room. If Pierce has to miss any time, the lack of a vertical threat could cause Jonathan Taylor to see more stacked fronts. We'll get more information during training camp, but Pierce should be knocked down quite a bit in rankings from this news.
New York Jets WR Quentin Skinner was reverted from waived-injured to injured reserve, according to a source on Tuesday, June 9.
Link to storyFree-agent P Aidan Laros (Buccaneers) was claimed by the Pittsburgh Steelers off waivers. In a corresponding move, the Steelers have released WR Brandon E. Johnson, according to a source on Tuesday, June 9.
Link to storyNew England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte has officially reported to New England's mandatory minicamp, according to a source on Tuesday, June 9.
Footballguys view: This news was expected despite Boutte being absent from the Patriots' voluntary workouts last month. Boutte mostly played at the same outside receiving spot that A.J. Brown does. The team may move Boutte around the formation (Footballguy Matt Waldman believes Boutte would be great as a slot receiver) to find a way to get him on the field in the last year of his rookie contract. Boutte could also be a midseason trade candidate if the Patriots can't find snaps for him and want to recoup something before he leaves in free agency.

Indianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce (ankle) and DL DeForest Buckner (neck) will not participate in OTAs, according to head coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: Pierce underwent offseason surgery on a lingering ankle injury, but should be back on the field for training camp. Pierce, who's led the NFL in yards per catch the last two seasons, has become a well-rounded wideout, able to attack different levels of the field in a variety of ways. With Michael Pittman Jr. traded to the Steelers, Pierce is set to serve as the team's top downfield weapon. He's being drafted as WR33. Like Pierce, Buckner is focused on being ready for training camp.
Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (personal reasons) is not practicing at the team's OTA session on Tuesday, June 9.
Footballguys view: Lamb's absence shouldn't be of any concern. As SI.com suggests, he'll likely be back at practice in no time, barring injury. We'll watch for more on that, but there's nothing here that changes Lamb's 2026 expectations or draft stock.

Updating previous reports, Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson's four-year deal is worth up to $110.5 million, but the base value is $97.5 million over five years. The deal includes $18.5 million in incentives related to Pro Bowls, catches, receiving yards and touchdowns.
Footballguys view: Watson got a $23 million average in new money, but because he had one year left on his deal, the real average is lower. Additionally, the Packers' wide receiver had only $31 million in guarantees. That's the signing bonus, and there are no guarantees beyond it. That said, $23 million is good money based on what Watson has done so far as an NFL player. As AtoZSport's Wendell Ferreira suggested, even if the Packers are treating Watson as a real WR1, his deal looks more like high-end WR2 money, and that's a fair assessment of his market value.
Free-agent WR Brandin Cooks (Bills) said he plans to play in the 2026 season.
Footballguys view: According to ProFootballRumors.com, Cooks, who revealed the news on an interview with SiriusXM Radio, didn't indicate which teams have shown interest in him. The six-time 1,000-yard wideout ended 2025 with the Bills, who became his sixth team after the Saints waived him in November, and the sides were still in contact earlier in the offseason. It is unknown if the Bills remain open to re-signing Cooks after trading a second-round pick to the Bears for DJ Moore and spending a fourth-rounder on rookie Skyler Bell.

Seattle Seahawks WR Levi Wentz was waived Monday, June 8.
Link to storyUndrafted free-agent WR Malick Meiga (Coastal Carolina) signed with the Carolina Panthers Monday, June 8. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived TE Heinrich Haarberg.
Link to storyNew York Jets WR Quentin Skinner (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation Monday, June 8, according to a source.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Jalen Walthall (Texans) agreed to terms with the New York Jets Monday, June 8, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Link to storyFree-agent WR James Proche (Titans) is participating in a tryout with the Philadelphia Eagles this week.
Footballguys view: Proche spent three years in Baltimore before bouncing on and off the Browns' roster from 2023 to 2024. Proche played for the Titans last season. One factor potentially working in Proche's favor is that he has a track record of contributing on special teams. Part of the impetus for the tryout could be related to the Eagles currently being a little short-handed at receiver. Makai Lemon is reportedly expected to miss practices this week due to a hamstring injury. Britain Covey did not participate in the Eagles' media-attended OTA practice last week. The team also waived Brandon Hayes on Friday evening.

New England Patriots WR A.J. Brown's 15 receptions of 50-plus yards since the start of the 2019 season are tied for the most in the NFL.
Footballguys view: According to ESPN.com's Mike Reiss, the addition of Brown reflects how the Patriots have aggressively reshaped their receiving corps since losing to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, a process that began with the release of leading receiver Stefon Diggs in March. Diggs totaled 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns in his one season with the Patriots. As Reiss explained, the 6-1, 226-pound Brown is more of a perimeter target than Diggs, and Brown's history of making big plays adds to the positive vibe here.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin has been able to participate in the offseason program at full strength, according to head coach Todd Bowles. 'Obviously his knowledge of the game helps the younger guys but his route running is sharp, he looks smooth running his routes and he understands the offense very well,' Bowles said. 'We know the playmaker he's going to be for us.'
Footballguys view: Godwin is needed now more than ever as the wide receiver room enters a new era without Mike Evans. A vintage Godwin performance as he works alongside Emeka Egbuka this season can really help get the Tampa Bay offense back to being a top-five unit like it was in 2024, which was the last time the Buccaneers had a winning season, made the playoffs and won the NFC South. Godwin is being drafted as WR40 in Round 7.
Chris Godwin Jr. player page
Jacksonville Jaguars WR CJ Williams has 'arguably been the top backup receiver' during the offseason program, according to John Shipley of SI.com, and Shipley believes Williams will earn a spot on the receiver depth chart.
Footballguys view: Shipley added that after a few weeks of seeing him on the practice field, it is hard to imagine a scenario where Williams is not a part of the wide receiver depth chart in some fashion or another in 2026. Williams has arguably been the top backup receiver on the practice field so far this offseason program, and each backup quarterback has enjoyed throwing his way. There will be more competition in training camp, but so far, Williams has looked like he is ahead of each of them when it comes to practice field impact.
Miami Dolphins WR Kevin Coleman Jr. has been the team's best rookie receiver and should be the starting slot receiver, in the opinion of Omar Kelly of The Miami Herald.
Footballguys view: As Footballguy Sigmund Bloom suggested, Coleman projects as the most reliable wide receiver in a low-volume pass offense, which isn't worth chasing in rookie drafts.
Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton said he is not worried about sharing targets with WR Jaylen Waddle. 'The targets will come,' Sutton said. 'I always say, the ball is going to find you no matter what, you just need to go out there and do your job.'
Footballguys view: Sutton will be the top red zone target in any scenario, and it is clear that Bo Nix has the best chemistry with Sutton of any of the returning Broncos receivers. Sutton is right that targets will come, especially in key game situations, because he has been so good at doing his job with Denver.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jalen Royals has performed well in his additional reps with the first-team offense during OTAs, according to head coach Andy Reid. 'He looks strong out here and is running well. It's great for him and the quarterbacks to see what he is all about on repeated reps,' Reid said.
Footballguys view: The 2025 fourth round pick was having a good first training camp but knee issues slowed him down at the beginning of the season. He has a similar skillset to Rashee Rice and the team could see him as a future replacement with Rice's unreliable off-field profile. Royals shouldn't be on the waiver wire in dynasty leagues and could become a consideration in redraft leagues if Rice has any problems getting back in action after spending time in jail following knee surgery in May.
Denver Broncos WR Jaylen Waddle is fitting in with his new team, and drawing praise from the coaching staff and teammates for his quick starting and stopping, and for his route running. 'I think his ability to make every route look the same is pretty important,' S Talanoa Hufanga said. 'As a defender, when you can make a 10-yard stop look like a go, a 10-yard dig (route) look like a go, a 10-yard out-route -- it's just, everything looks the same. And it puts pressure on your backpedal, as a DB.'
Footballguys view: Waddle could be a focal point of the Broncos pass offense right away if he and Bo Nix are on the same page and the team is creative with their usage of their big offseason acquisition to push for a Super Bowl while Nix is on a rookie contract. Waddle could get off on the right foot in the season opener against Kansas City, which will likely be #6 pick Mansoor Delane's first NFL start.

New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte will be in attendance for the first day of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, June 9, despite recent trade rumors. He had not been present for the Patriots' voluntary offseason program last month.
Footballguys view: Boutte mostly played at the same outside X receiver spot that AJ Brown occupies. Hopefully the team moves Boutte around the formation (and Brown for that matter) to find a way to get the just turned 24 year old on the field in the last year of his rookie contract. Boutte could also be a midseason trade candidate if the Patriots just can't find snaps for him and want to recoup something before he leaves in free agency.
Kayshon Boutte player page
Kansas City Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy has performed well during offseason workouts and seems to be more comfortable entering his third season, according to head coach Andy Reid.
Footballguys view: Worthy can fly down the field with blazing speed, but it takes more than that to make plays at the wide receiver position in the pros. Receivers usually take three years to get going in the NFL, so Worthy is certainly a player who could post better-than-expected numbers in 2026. Wide receivers coach Chad O'Shea said he has been impressed with how Worthy has been catching the ball during workouts.
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. has been making plays during the voluntary workouts and said he is feeling healthy after dealing with injuries in 2025.
Footballguys view: This matches earlier reports about Thomas. Jaguars HC Liam Coen wants to go deep a bit more, and that's where Thomas comes in. We'll be monitoring his chemistry with QB Trevor Lawrence throughout training camp and the preseason.
Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Caleb Douglas (undisclosed) suffered an injury during the mandatory minicamp, but head coach Jeff Hafley said Douglas will hopefully return to the field next week.
Footballguys view: Douglas, a third-round pick out of Texas Tech, is a player we are intrigued by in dynasty formats. He's a big receiver (6-feet, 4-inches tall) who can blaze down the field with 4.39 speed. Douglas has inconsistent hands and needs to learn how to use his frame better to box out smaller defenders, but the physical tools are there for him to be a weapon in this league. He will need time to hone his skills, but we see some Marquez Valdes-Scantling in his game when fully developed.
Las Vegas Raiders WR Malik Benson has 'flashed his potential' during OTAs, according to Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: Benson can absolutely fly, as evidenced by five touchdowns last year for Oregon coming from 40-plus yards out, and he posted a 4.37 40-yard dash at the combine. Even though he's not a big receiver (listed at 189 pounds), Benson knows how to haul in contested catches, and he only had one drop last year for the Ducks. The sixth-round pick can immediately contribute on special teams as a return man while he learns the nuances of the pro game on offense.
Las Vegas Raiders WR Tre Tucker has been a leader for the offense during OTAs, according to head coach Klint Kubiak. 'He's got to be a playmaker for us, and he has been,' Kubiak said. 'And now let's go see what else we can get out of him.'
Footballguys view: Tucker was primarily a boundary receiver for the Raiders in his pro career. Kubiak will have all the Raiders receivers moving around the formation, meaning Tucker will get some inside looks as well. With TE Brock Bowers gathering the attention of the defense on every snap, Tucker should be able to take advantage of coverage. For Fantasy GMs, Tucker has flex appeal as the no.1 wide receiver for the Raiders.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Brandon Hayes was waived Friday, June 5.
Link to storySeattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp said he 'never for a second' considered retirement this offseason.
Footballguys view: Kupp was the Seahawks no.2 receiver last year, and he finished with 47 catches for 593 yards and two touchdowns. This year, Seattle should move Rashid Shaheed into the no.2 role and Kupp gets demoted to more of a no.3 role. That makes Kupp more of a 'what the heck' flex in certain matchups for Fantasy GMs.
Cooper Kupp player page
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. and QB Trevor Lawrence have been putting in extra reps this offseason to improve their chemistry. 'We've put a lot of work in throughout all spring really of just trying to get the timing down, the chemistry, all those things, get on the same page, and it's starting to pay off,' Lawrence said.
Footballguys view: We love hearing this, and we'd love to see this chemistry continue into training camp and the regular season. Reports from Jaguars camp say they're going deep early and often with Thomas being on the receiving end of a lot of those passes. Per Jaguars HC Liam Coen, they did want to improve the deep passing and chemistry between Thomas and Trevor Lawrence.
Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (knee) has been more involved in the voluntary workouts as the offseason has gone on and is expected to do more when training camp begins.
Footballguys view: Good news for the Texans here, so long as Dell can stay healthy. Dell had been working off to the side with trainers as he comes back from another injury. Now, he's working in team drills with the idea he can do more later in the summer. Dell is a playmaker, but his injury history makes him a player to only monitor on the waiver wire from a fantasy perspective.

Minnesota Vikings WR Joaquin Davis was waived Thursday, June 4.
Link to storyDenver Broncos WR Michael Woods II (undisclosed) and TE Caleb Lohner (undisclosed) did not participate in the voluntary workout Thursday, June 4.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys WR George Pickens was not present for the voluntary workout Thursday, June 4, but is expected to take part in the mandatory minicamp next week, according to NFL Network's Jane Slater.
Footballguys view: The workouts are voluntary, so we're not too concerned. When the work becomes mandatory next week, Pickens should be in attendance. Pickens already signed his franchise tag earlier this year, so he's fully guaranteed $27.3 MM for the 2026 season. We'll see if a long-term contract can be worked out before the start of the regular season.
