Atlanta Falcons CB Mike Hughes (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 25. WR Drake London (knee), CB Clark Phillips III (illness, triceps), LB James Pearce Jr. (neck) and TE Teagan Quitoriano (hamstring) were limited during practice. The Falcons did not hold a practice Thursday, so the report is an estimation.

Falcons | Drake London to practice    Wed Dec 24, 12:02 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) will practice 'with modifications' this week, according to head coach Raheem Morris.

Footballguys view: London caught 3-of-8 targets for 27 yards in the Falcons' Week 16 win over the Cardinals. In his return to action last week, London didn't quite look like himself. Perhaps with another week of practice...with modifications...London will play up to his potential. From a fantasy perspective, we like him as a low-end WR1 against the Rams on Monday night.

Falcons | Bijan Robinson racks up huge totals vs. Cardinals    Sun Dec 21, 11:06 PM

Bijan Robinson had 92 yards receiving on seven catches, including a 13-yard touchdown, and added 76 yards rushing on 16 carries in Sunday's 26-19 win over the Cardinals.

Footballguys view: Robinson had his fifth game this season with 150 or more yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. No one else has more than three such games. The 23-year-old became the third player in franchise history to gain at least 2,000 yards from scrimmage in a season, joining Jamal Anderson (1998) and William Andrews (1981 and 1983). He is the first player with 1,000 rushing yards and 750 receiving yards since Christian McCaffrey in 2019. Robinson will face a tough matchup against the Rams in Week 17, but he should be locked into Championship Weekend lineups nonetheless.

Falcons | Arthur Blank to evaluate performances of head coach, GM    Sun Dec 21, 11:25 AM

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is expected to evaluate the performances of head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot after the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. Fontenot signed a six-year contract in 2021 but only has one year remaining on his current deal, while Morris is under contract through the end of the 2028 season.

Footballguys view: The Falcons have been spinning their wheels during Fontenot's tenure as general manager. If Atlanta does start over at head coach and general manager in the offseason, it's unclear what that would mean for the 2024 Fontenot first round pick Michael Penix Jr., who suffered a season-ending torn ACL earlier this season.

Falcons | Coach thinks Drake London will play    Sat Dec 20, 02:17 PM

Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said that he expects WR Drake London (knee) to play in Week 16's game versus the Arizona Cardinals.

Footballguys view: London hasn't played since Week 11, and he was limited a couple of days in practice. However, he was a DNP on Friday which puts some doubt on his status. Morris believes London will play, and in a matchup against the Cardinals he could have a nice week of production. Double-check his status before kickoff, but London could finish as a WR1 in Week 16 if he plays.

Falcons | No designation for Kyle Pitts    Fri Dec 19, 05:31 PM

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 19, but is not on the injury report for Week 16.

Footballguys view: Popping up on Thursday's injury report is usually not promising, but Pitts participated in Friday's practice. No longer on the injury report, he should be a full go against the Cardinals. If Drake London returns, it could impact Pitts' usage. However, after last week's incredible performance, we have him ranked as a top-three tight end.

Falcons | Drake London misses practice    Fri Dec 19, 05:31 PM

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 19, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Footballguys view: Early on Friday, Raheem Morris said he expected London to return on Sunday, so this feels like a non-story. London missed four games with this knee injury, and returning in Week 16 presents a few challenges. He is coming back from injury and will be without Michael Penix Jr. While Kirk Cousins has looked solid over the past couple of weeks, it is difficult to project London as the top-five wide receiver he was before the injury. You are still starting him in fantasy lineups if he is active, but both his floor and ceiling are slightly lower than they were during his blistering pre-injury pace.

Falcons | Drake London to practice    Wed Dec 17, 11:40 AM

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) will return to practice Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Footballguys view: London hasn't played since Week 11, and his return would be a boost for the passing attack. It would potentially hurt the targets going to TE Kyle Pitts, and David Sills would go back to the bench (or fantasy waiver wire) if London plays against the Cardinals in Week 16.

Falcons | Drake London an option for Week 16?     Mon Dec 15, 02:56 PM

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) is still considered day-to-day because of his knee injury, but head coach Raheem Morris said the team is more hopeful about his availability for Week 16.

Footballguys view: According to Morris, his top wideout is still day-to-day, but the increased optimism is worth noting. London has 60 receptions for 810 receiving yards and six touchdowns this season. During his four-week absence, TE Kyle Pitts has played some of the best football of his NFL career. Pitts has recorded 73 catches for 797 receiving yards and four touchdowns. "He was there as the No. 1 wideout, so to speak," said Morris of Pitts. "He got the targets Drake would normally get." So, London's return could have an impact beyond his own investors. We'll be watching for more.

Falcons | Kyle Pitts sticking in Atlanta?    Sat Dec 13, 12:30 PM

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts' three-touchdown performance in Week 15 could push the Falcons to give Pitts the franchise tag in the offseason or to offer him a long-term deal, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Footballguys view: Pitts' performance on Thursday against the Buccaneers fed families. Well, for Fantasy GMs who started him as he caught 11-of-12 targets for 166 yards and three touchdowns in the Falcons' Week 15 win over the Buccaneers. Most players hate the franchise tag, so Pitts and his camp may play hardball if that's the route the Falcons take. If tagged, the two sides would have until mid-July to work out a new deal.
