Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) has been ruled out of the Week 13 game.
Footballguys view: London will miss his second straight game after leaving Week 11 late with a knee injury. He had been on a tear, posting 100-plus yards in five of his previous six games. In what's starting to look like a lost season, London is likely in no rush to return until his knee is fully healthy.

Footballguys view: London suffered this knee injury in Week 11, and in another lost season we might see him shut down for the rest of the year. His long-term health is much more important than any of the remaining games on the schedule.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said the team will need to make alternative quarterback plans for 2026 in case QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee) has not recovered by the beginning of next season. Penix will undergo surgery in Los Angeles during the upcoming week to have his anterior cruciate ligament restructured and it is estimated that he could be sidelined for nine months, according to multiple sources.
Footballguys view: It's unlikely that Kirk Cousins will still be with the team next season unless his play dramatically improves from the level he was at in the 34-10 loss to the Dolphins in his first start this season. The 2026 fantasy value of Drake London and Bijan Robinson could be in for a rocky start.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 21, and has been ruled out for Week 12.
Footballguys view: There was never an expectation that London would play this week, and he might miss additional time. Michael Penix Jr. is out for the year, and Kirk Cousins should close out the season as the Falcons' starter. When London does return, quarterback play will likely suppress his weekly projections. London and Penix's injuries came at a very inopportune time for fantasy managers hoping to rely on him during a championship run.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 19, and he remains listed as week-to-week, according to head coach Raheem Morris.

Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee) underwent surgery on Wednesday, Nov. 19, the team announced. Kirk Cousins will take over the role of starting quarterback for the team.
Footballguys view: This is a gut punch for the Falcons' offense. Cousins is no longer the player he used to be, and the passing game is likely to look uneven with him at the helm. Downgrade all Falcons receivers, and even be mindful of how defenses are going to stack the line to stop Bijan Robinson.
Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins takes the reins of the offense, with QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee) going on the Reserve/Injured list. Cousins will face the New Orleans Saints in Week 12 against the New Orleans Saints, who have allowed teams to complete 65.9 percent of passes with a 84.6 QB rating with 99 first downs allowed, 20 pass plays of 20 or more yards and 5+ plays of 40 or more yards through the air.
Footballguys view: Falcons HC Raheem Morris said "it's fair to say [the offense will] look different" with Cousins as the starter. Cousins is terribly inaccurate this year in limited snaps (and one start) this season. It's a downgrade for the Falcons' passing game, and defenses should stack the line to stuff Bijan Robinson going forward.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) is considered week-to-week because of his knee injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris.
Footballguys view: Previous reporting indicated that further testing on London's knee revealed a PCL sprain that will keep him out at least one week, "and potentially more." Morris' comments confirm that. The Falcons will also be without their quarterback for at least four more weeks after they placed Michael Penix Jr. on injured reserve with a knee injury of his own. KhaDarel Hodge has been London's primary backup in recent weeks when London has missed time. Expect Hodge to move into the lineup opposite Darnell Mooney while London is out.
Following up on the previous item . . . Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr is headed to Injured Reserve after aggravating a bone bruise and knee sprain from earlier in the season, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. Additionally, there has been damage to the ACL, which could mean a full reconstruction.
Footballguys view: Veteran Kirk Cousins replaced Penix on Sunday in the eventual 30-27 overtime loss at home and will take over as the Falcons' starting quarterback with Penix sidelined. Cousins was 6-of-14 for 48 yards after replacing Penix. The Falcons play the Saints on Sunday. Remember, Cousins will be without Drake London, who suffered a PCL sprain on Sunday.
Michael Penix Jr. player page
Falcons WR Drake London suffered a PCL sprain and is out this week and potentially more, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: With Michael Penix Jr. out with what could be a season-ending knee injury and London out with a sprain, Atlanta is significantly short-handed. KhaDarel Hodge has been London's primary backup in recent weeks when London has missed time. We'll follow up as further details come to light. The Saints play the Saints in Week 12.
Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury during Sunday's loss to the Panthers, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. Penix will be seeking a second opinion, but it is not encouraging.
Footballguys view: Penix suffered season-ending ACL tears to his left knee in both 2018 and 2020 in college. He also missed a game this season in Week 8 after sustaining a bone bruise to that same knee in Week 7. And now this latest injury could sideline him for the rest of the 2025 season. We'll follow up as further details come to light. Kirk Cousins will fill in as needed. The Falcons play the Saints this week.
Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts had two receptions (on three targets) for 14 yards in a Week 11 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Link to storyKyle Pitts Sr. player page
Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. is believed to have aggravated the same knee injury as earlier in the season, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. That bone bruise in the same knee kept him out one game. More tests coming, but there is concern he'll miss some time.
Footballguys view: After struggling in the Falcons' overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts last week, the second-year quarterback had been playing very well in this game. He led the Falcons' offense to 21 first-half points and a lead at the time he left the game. Penix completed 13-of-16 passes (81.3 percent) for 175 yards before his injury. Head coach Raheem Morris was unable to provide any update on his status after the game, but he left the door open for the fact that backup quarterback Kirk Cousins could be the starter against the Saints in Week 12.
Michael Penix Jr. player page
Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London posted seven receptions for 119 yards on nine targets in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers. However, he suffered a knee injury on the final possession of regulation. Head coach Raheem Morris didn't have an update on the injury after the game.
Footballguys view: Michael Penix left the game with a knee injury in a material blow to London's value, and now we will have to wait for news about a knee injury for London too. The Falcons offense will be very limited if Penix and London both sit at New Orleans in Week 12.
Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier ran three times for 10 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers, while adding two receptions for six yards on two targets.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson rushed 23 times for 104 yards and pair of rushing touchdowns in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers, while totaling four receptions for 39 yards on five targets.
Footballguys view: One week after Tyler Allgeier scored both Falcons rushing touchdowns, Robinson got the first two in a very good first half for the Atlanta offense. Michael Penix left in the second half with a knee injury and the team had a lot more trouble moving the ball with Kirk Cousins at quarterback. Robinson fantasy teams will be praying that Penix doesn't miss much, if any time with this injury or the value of their #1 fantasy running back is going to take a hit.

Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins completed 6-of-14 passes for 48 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers, and he ran for two yards after replacing the injured QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee).

Atlanta Falcons LB James Pearce Jr. posted two total tackles with one solo stop, a sack, a tackle for loss and a game-high three quarterback hits in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers.

Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee) left the Week 11 game against the Carolina Panthers in the third quarter due to a knee injury. He is considered questionable to return. QB Kirk Cousins has replaced him.
Footballguys view: As we saw when Cousins started in Week 8 against Miami, the veteran quarterback is a downgrade from Penix even though the second year quarterback has been inconsistent. This could be bad for everyone in the Falcons offense if Penix is going to be out for an extended time. Cousins would face the Saints next week if he starts for an injured Penix.
