Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan said he has added 17 pounds of muscle this offseason.
| Footballguys view: McMillan wasn't a small guy coming into the league, using his size and strength to overpower receivers on contested balls. His speed has always left a bit to be desired, and size could impact that even more. We'll be watching closely throughout camp and the preseason to see if this extra bulk impacts his movement. Either way, McMillan proved capable of drawing an elite target share last year. He caught contested balls, made plays after the catch, and scored touchdowns, proving his skill set would transfer from college to the pros. |

As USA Today's Anthony Rizzuti reminded readers, two ACL tears, both to the same knee, have limited Brooks to only three NFL games since he was selected in the second round of the 2024 draft. But Brooks, over the past few weeks, was able to fully participate in organized team activities for the first time in his career. How Brooks will fit into that backfield with Hubbard and Trevor Etienne will be one of the things to watch as the Panthers head into training camp next month. |

Legette has the size and speed to be a run after catch threat, but hasn't shown the ability to win downfield. Brazzell is a long, fast, flexible receiver in the mold of George Pickens, who could make a splash right away given the quality of Young's deep ball. |

The hesitancy on Carolina's part stems from the fact that the QB market got absolutely nuked with young quarterbacks signing record-setting deals, and it needs to adjust back. As AtoZSports' Ken Noble suggested, the Panthers are smart by letting the QB market cool back down before paying Young. For our purposes, Young remains a low-end QB2. |

| Footballguys view: General manager Dan Morgan said on January 13 that the Panthers would pick up Young's option. The paperwork was filed on Wednesday and keeps him on the roster through the 2027 season. Young's coming off a career season, setting new highs in passing yards (3,011), touchdowns (23), and completion percentage (63.6). He also had six of his 12 game-winning drives in the fourth quarter or overtime last year, the most of any quarterback in the league since 2023, when he entered the league. But until he becomes a more consistent producer, Young remains a low-end QB2 in fantasy. |
