Colts TE Tyler Warren (groin) was a limited participant again on Thursday, the Colts' first on-field practice of the week after a walkthrough on Wednesday. Warren, who has missed the last two games, was also limited on Wednesday. TE Drew Ogletree (knee) was limited as well ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
| Footballguys view: Warren has been out of action for a couple of games, but this week he's been limited in two days of practice. Another limited practice on Friday isn't total clarity, but a full participation would make it seem like he's ready to return in Week 8. Jones went 22-of-42 for 269 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions, including one in the red zone, and now has six interceptions to four touchdowns this season as the Colts fell to 2-4.
| Footballguys view: As ESPN.com's Stephen Holder notes, Jones hasn't come close to matching the run he had at the start of last season, which was the basis for the Colts giving him a new deal following his ruptured Achilles in December. Jones had two more interceptions Sunday, giving him nine turnovers, one behind Justin Herbert's league-high 10 (he has three lost fumbles to go with the INTs). The turnovers are undermining offensive consistency, which has been a challenge in itself. | Footballguys view: This was an immensely disappointing game for Downs to post against a pass defense that had allowed 11 touchdowns in the first three games. Daniel Jones was uneven to start this game, and Jonathan Taylor did most of the damage for the offense. Don't drop Downs with Keenan Allen ailing, but we might have to wait for a good game on our bench before starting him. The Colts travel to Pittsburgh next week. |
