Indianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce tallied four receptions, 86 yards, and two touchdowns in a Week 16 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Footballguys view: Pierce's value is now at an all-time high, and with him set to hit free agency this offseason, the Colts will likely have competition to retain him. As A to Z Sports' Destin Adam suggested, Pierce has positioned himself well with the most receiving yards of his career (871) and four touchdowns. He'll also be somebody fantasy investors have great interest in next summer, regardless of landing spot.
Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. caught four of his five targeted passes for 32 yards in a Week 16 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Link to storyIndianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor carried the ball 16 times for 46 yards and a touchdown versus the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16. Taylor also caught three passes for 33 yards.

Indianapolis Colts QB Philip Rivers completed 23 of 35 passes for 277 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16. With the game out of hand late, Rivers was replaced by QB Riley Leonard on the final drive.
Footballguys view: After Rivers played it close to the vest against Seattle in Week 14 -- in his first game in five years -- he opened things up in a significant way Monday night, pushing the ball farther downfield after averaging just 4.4 yards per attempt in his previous game. Unfortunately, the Colts' defense had its most miserable performance of the season. After starting 2025 at 8-2 and in the conversation among title contenders, Indianapolis has now lost five straight and seems destined to miss the playoffs again. But they're not eliminated yet, so expect Rivers to make another start.

Indianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce (Achilles) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 19.
Footballguys view: In his first game with Philip Rivers, Pierce managed just one catch for 16 yards. Rivers demonstrated the ability to diagnose defenses and find open receivers, but his arm clearly lacked strength. Pierce's role as a downfield receiver makes for a poor fit with a noodle-armed quarterback. Based on last week's performance, it is difficult to consider starting him.
Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs (personal) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 19.
Footballguys view: Downs' role as a short-distance player who receives manufactured touches could make for a sneaky matchup with Philip Rivers. Downs caught Rivers' only touchdown last week. He is in the WR4 tier but offers more upside than most other players in that range.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (eye) had his 21-day practice window opened Thursday, Dec. 18.
Footballguys view: Head coach Shane Steichen said Richardson still has some vision limitations and isn't 100% cleared. Expect the Colts to roll with Philip Rivers as their starter and Riley Leonard as their backup. Richardson may not be ready to play for another few weeks.

Indianapolis Colts WR Coleman Owen reverted back to the practice squad Monday, Dec. 15, after being on the active roster for the Week 15 game.
Link to storyAccording to multiple reports, Anthony Richardson has been cleared to resume football activities. Richardson has been out since fracturing an orbital bone while working out ahead of Indianapolis' Week 6 game against the Cardinals.
Footballguys view: The Colts have not formally designated Richardson for return from injured reserve at this point, and they haven't announced if they plan to do so this week, but that would be a necessary step to get him back into practice. The move would create a 21-day window for Richardson to work out with the team, and that would run through the end of the regular season. Meanwhile, the Colts coaxed Philip Rivers out of retirement last week, and head coach Shane Steichen has already announced that Rivers will start against the 49ers on Monday Night Football in Week 16.

Indianapolis Colts QB Philip Rivers will be the starting quarterback for the Colts in Week 16, according to head coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: While Rivers threw a touchdown against the Seahawks Sunday -- in his first game action in five years, he also threw an interception and only managed to produce 120 passing yards and 6.3 fantasy points on the day. Things should get better as Rivers gets back into game shape, but SI.com's Nick Raducanu believes fantasy investors should be worried about Jonathan Taylor as defenses stack the box even more than they already were. The Colts play the 49erss this week.
