Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft (knee) said he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
| Footballguys view: The Packers usually require nine months of recovery for players coming off ACL repairs. Kraft will be at 10 months come Week 1 and, as he said, "hopefully bulletproofed by then." At the time of his injury, in the eighth game of the season, Kraft was second on the Packers in receptions with 32, and his 15.3 yards per catch was uncommonly high for a tight end. He led the team in touchdown receptions with six and was TE2 for fantasy purposes through Week 8. We'll be watching his progress closely. |

Green Bay Packers DE Micah Parsons (knee) said he's targeting Week 1 to be ready to return from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. However, he said Week 3 or Week 4 is more realistic.
| Footballguys view: The Packers will eagerly await Parsons' return next season. As Yahoo Sports noted, without the star pass rusher, the team went 0-5 down the stretch. The team's typically excellent defense crumbled without Parsons, giving up at least 30 points in three of its last five games. Over that stretch, the Packers also experienced two fourth-quarter collapses against the rival Bears. We'll monitor Parsons' recovery over the coming months. |

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is expected to have extension talks in the coming days as the 2026 season is the final year on his contract.
| Footballguys view: Packers president Ed Policy said last June, after taking over the team, that he would prefer not to have a lame-duck coach. The Packers have gone 76-40-1 in the regular season under LaFleur and have made the playoffs in six of his seven seasons. But they have not reached the Super Bowl and have not been to a conference championship game since the 2020 season, the second of back-to-back appearances in LaFleur's first two years. We'll follow up as needed. |

Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs could depart via free agency in the offseason, in the opinion of ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, who "wouldn't be surprised" to see Doubs with a new team in 2026.
| Footballguys view: The Packers discussed Doubs in trade talks with other teams last offseason and have yet to extend him. They've used extremely high draft picks on receivers in recent years, including Matthew Golden. Doubs has been a reliable target for Jordan Love, but it doesn't sound like the Packers will engage in a bidding war. |

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love completed 24 of his 46 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns and added an 11-yard run in a 31-27 loss to the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card playoff game. RB Josh Jacobs rushed 19 times for 55 yards and caught a three-yard pass, and RB Emanuel Wilson was given just one carry for three yards. WR Romeo Doubs finished with eight receptions for a team-high 124 yards and a score, and WR Matthew Golden had four receptions for 84 yards and caught his first career touchdown. WR Jayden Reed had four catches for 43 yards and a score and chipped in a 14-yard run, and WR Christian Watson finished with three grabs for 36 yards and a score. TE Luke Musgrave was limited to one catch for nine yards. LB Edgerrin Cooper had a team-high eight tackles, including six solo stops, and a pass defensed, and S Evan Williams logged seven tackles, including six solo stops.

Melton played 177 snaps on special teams through the first 16 weeks. The Packers cross-trained him at cornerback this offseason, but he has not played a snap on defense in 2025. On special teams, Melton returns kicks, covers punts, and kicks and blocks on punt return -- making him a core special teamer. He also has a touchdown catch as a wide receiver. It remains to be seen if this injury will impact Melton's postseason availability. |

Willis becomes a free agent after this season and could end up in a role as a team's starter. He's worth targeting in dynasty trades prior to free agency. |
