Packers | Barryn Sorrell gets to the quarterback Sun Jan 4, 06:04 PM
Green Bay Packers DE Barryn Sorrell posted eight total stops, including five solo tackles, with a sack, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers LB Jamon Johnson ended up with a game-high 10 total stops, including three solo tackles, with a pass defensed in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers CB/WR Bo Melton did not have a catch on one target in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings, but he did have a solo tackle.
Footballguys view: Melton, who has played most of the snaps at wide receiver on Sunday, was injured while making a tackle on punt coverage. Melton played 177 snaps on special teams through the first 16 weeks. The Packers cross-trained him at cornerback this offseason, but he has not played a snap on defense in 2025. On special teams, Melton returns kicks, covers punts, and kicks and blocks on punt return -- making him a core special teamer. He also has a touchdown catch as a wide receiver. It remains to be seen if this injury will impact Melton's postseason availability.
Green Bay Packers TEs Drake Dabney and Josh Whyle each had one catch in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings. Dabney had a 3-yard catch on two targets, and Whyle had a 4-yard grab on his lone target.

Green Bay Packers QB Malik Willis (shoulder) was limited in practice on Friday, Jan. 2, and is listed as questionable for Week 18.
Footballguys view: Regardless of Willis's health, Jordan Love will not be back this week. Willis's rushing upside makes him a great streamer when he starts, but he's off the radar this week. Willis becomes a free agent after this season and could end up in a role as a team's starter. He's worth targeting in dynasty trades prior to free agency.
Green Bay Packers WR Jayden Reed (illness) practiced in full on Friday, Jan. 2, and no longer appears on the injury report.

Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee, ankle) practiced in full on Friday, Jan. 2, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Jacobs has played through this injury for the past few weeks, but it has impacted his workload and efficiency. He can still be started in fantasy, but there's obvious risk. Emanuel Wilson has looked solid in relief and could see extra work against the Vikings.

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love (concussion) has cleared the concussion protocol, but QB Clayton Tune will start in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Footballguys view: It's a meaningless game for the Packers on Sunday. They're locked into the no.7 seed on the NFC side of the playoff bracket. Love will be ready for their Wild Card Round game next week. Tune is just a QB3 for Fantasy GMs out there still competing for a championship...which means he won't be in many starting lineups.

Former Dallas Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs was claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers Wednesday, Dec. 31, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: The Cowboys cut ties with Diggs, and he's not the player he once was. However, Diggs can help a Packers team bound for the Wild Card Round in about 10 days or so.

Green Bay Packers QB Malik Willis (shoulder) will be limited in practice on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Footballguys view: Jordan Love is working his way through the league concussion protocol. The Packers plan to rest their starters against the Vikings in Week 18. They are locked into the no.7 seed in the NFC bracket, so Willis is likely to start if he's healthy enough to play.
Free-agent QB Desmond Ridder (Vikings) signed with the Green Bay Packers' practice squad Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers QB Jordan Love (concussion) remains in the protocol, but he'll practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Green Bay Packers DE Micah Parsons (knee) is scheduled to undergo surgery Monday, Dec. 29, to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Footballguys view: Parsons posted a snapshot of himself in a hospital gown to his Instagram story on Monday morning with the caption "see y'all soon, love y'all." He tore his ACL in the team's Week 15 loss to the Broncos. As Profootballtalk.com noted, surgery is a significant first step, but that rehab process is expected to run into the summer, and it will be some time before there's a concrete timeline for Parsons' return to full football activities.
