Jaguars | Antonio Johnson picks up defensive TD Sun Jan 4, 05:24 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars S Antonio Johnson returned an interception 58 yards for a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He also recorded three solo tackles during the game.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jakobi Meyers caught five passes for 44 yards against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He was targeted six times during the game.
Footballguys view: Meyers was a mostly modest producer during Trevor Lawrence's late season tear, but there's no doubt that adding him to the offense helped turn the season around for the quarterback. Meyers will be a stalwart in this offense through at least 2027 after signing an extension a few weeks ago as an early Christmas present.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. caught three passes for 49 yards against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He was targeted five times during the game.
Footballguys view: Thomas was a massive fantasy bust as a first round pick as Mac Jones also played well for the 49ers, forcing us to recontextualize the massive fantasy run the combination went in the second half of 2024. Thomas will be a hotly debated player in fantasy circles next season. It's not completely out of the question that he could be available via trade if anyone calls up Jaguars GM James Gladstone, who inherited Thomas from the previous regime.
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Brenton Strange caught six passes for 52 yards and one touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He was targeted six times during the game.
Footballguys view: Strange had a breakout season of sorts even though he missed five games. He is a classic two-way tight end in the mold of George Kittle or Tucker Kraft even though he isn't nearly as productive as they were as receivers this season. Strange caught the ball 54 of the 60 times that Trevor Lawrence targeted him this season. His arrow is pointing up and Strange could get more attention in NFL and fantasy circles with a big game in the postseason.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Parker Washington caught five passes for 87 yards and one touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He was targeted nine times during the game.
Footballguys view: Washington, who missed a few snaps after being shaken up by a big hit, has emerged as the #1 producer in the Jaguars passing game. He's probably underrated in playoff fantasy football and will be a candidate for a market rate extension this offseason with his rookie contract expiring after next season.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten rushed for 23 yards and one touchdown on five carries against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18.
Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne rushed for 32 yards on 14 carries against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He also one pass for six yards during the game.
Footballguys view: Etienne was much better than expected, seizing the top of the backfield with a strong Week 1 performance. The Jaguars even traded Tank Bigsby during the season and they appeared to lose trust in rookie Bhayshul Tuten because of ball security issues. Etienne will be a free agent after the season, but the Jaguars could, maybe even should bring him back.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence went 22-for-30 for 255 yards and three touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans in Week 18. He also rushed for 11 yards in two carries during the game.
Footballguys view: Lawrence is the hottest quarterback in the league heading into the postseason. He won a 31-30 thriller over Justin Herbert and the Chargers in the 2023 playoffs when he threw four touchdowns and four interceptions, and then lost 27-20 to Patrick Mahomes at Arrowhead. It will be tempting to pick the Jaguars to go to the Super Bowl in a wide open AFC.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has recorded 35 total touchdowns this season, putting him two behind the team record of 37 set by QB Blake Bortles in 2015.
Footballguys view: Lawrence is playing with a ton of confidence in recent weeks. His season started out rough under HC Liam Coen, but it just took some time for things to click. Lawrence has been better about sticking with his reads, and he's not taking unnecessary chances much anymore. He's clearly comfortable in the system, and his play is one of the reasons why Jacksonville should be a tough out in the playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Patrick Herbert was activated from the practice squad to the active roster for the Week 18 game against the Tennessee Titans.
Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars OG Cole Van Lanen reached an agreement on on a three-year, $51 million extension that includes $32.5 million guaranteed, according to a source. The deal could be worth up to $55.5 million with incentives.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten (finger) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 1.
Footballguys view: Tuten had surgery on this finger injury and most thought he would be out until the playoffs. With a full practice on Thursday, the rookie back may be ready for Week 18. If the team eases him back into action, Tuten may not be a starting option unless you want a 'what the heck' flex. In championship week, that strategy may not be ideal.

OG Ezra Cleveland (shoulder), C Robert Hainsey (groin), DE Danny Striggow (ankle), LB Jalen McLeod (ankle), CB Montaric Brown (neck) and CB Greg Newsome (shoulder) were limited during practice. Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten (finger) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Footballguys view: Tuten suffered the injury in Week 15, and he was thought to be out until the postseason. Now, it looks like Week 18 could be his return.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Parker Washington had eight receptions for 115 yards on 10 targets in the Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts, and he ran for minus-5 yards.
Footballguys view: As NFL.com suggested, Washington continues proving himself as a reliable target, racking up contested catches and playing much larger than his 5-10 frame. One week after setting a career high with 145 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Jags' win over Denver, Washington delivered again. On a day Trevor Lawrence went without a passing touchdown (but ran for two scores), Washington was an essential part of a Jacksonville air attack that is suddenly very diverse thanks to the presence of Brian Thomas Jr., the acquisition of Jakobi Meyers, and the ascension of Washington and tight end Brenton Strange.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence completed 23-of-37 passes for 263 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts, while posting eight runs for 26 yards and two touchdowns.
Footballguys view: As NFL.com suggested, Lawrence is playing the best football of his career right now. Even on a day in which he was held without a passing touchdown, Lawrence delivered a strong fantasy performance. His 23.1 points ranked fifth through Sunday night's kickoff. Fantasy investors who played him down the stretch got league-winning numbers as Lawrence averaged 32.9 points per game from Weeks 15 through 17. Of course, Lawrence's draft value will rise based on his strong finish. We'll be covering that all offseason long.

Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten (finger) has been ruled out of the Week 17 game.
Footballguys view: Tuten is getting close to a return after being limited in practice all week. He's out against the Colts on Sunday, but the rookie could be out there in Week 18. LeQuint Allen will be the backup to Travis Etienne on Sunday.
Jacksonville Jaguars CB Jourdan Lewis (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Dec. 25.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten (finger) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 26, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Footballguys view: Initial reports after Tuten's finger surgery were that he would miss "a few weeks," but he returned to practice after missing just one game. If active, it would be tough to trust him in any championship lineups. However, his return would slightly ding the projections for Travis Etienne Jr., who has emerged as a surefire RB1.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten (finger) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 24.
Footballguys view: Tuten underwent surgery on his finger a couple of weeks ago. At the time, most felt he would be out the rest of the regular season. The Jaguars can make a deep postseason run, so it will be interesting to see if Tuten gets back out there in Week 17 (seems unlikely) or Week 18 (quite possible). Stay tuned.
