The New Orleans Saints are working on trying to sign WR Chris Olave to a contract extension, even though his name has been circulating in trade rumors recently, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 17, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.
Footballguys view: If you're looking for a locked-in workload, Olave might be your guy. As Late-Round Fantasy's JJ Zachariason noted this week, Olave is averaging a 32.6 percent target share per game, and he's yet to fall below a 25 percent share in a game this year. He's been at 37 and 39 percent over his last two games and has at least 10 targets in all but one game. Olave quietly sits at WR22 on the season. |
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 17, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.
Footballguys view: Sitting at RB22 through six games, Kamara has averaged a disappointing 11.9 points on the season, with second-year man Kendre Miller playing a greater role than expected. But Kamara's receiving role has grown; he has five or more targets in three straight games now. This week, he gets a fantastic matchup against the Bears, who have given up the third-most fantasy points per game to the position. |

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara carried 10 times for 31 yards and caught all five targets for 45 yards in a 25-19 Week 6 loss to the New England Patriots.
Footballguys view: As ESPN.com's Ben Baby suggested, Cincinnati should be encouraged with how Flacco played, particularly in the second half. Flacco did a very good job of playing on time, finding a good rhythm, and locating open receivers. When the Bengals traded for Flacco this week, they were hopeful the 40-year-old signal-caller could jump-start a dormant offense. If he continues to play like this, it could be good enough to inject the slightest bit of life into Cincinnati's season. The Bengals play the Steelers on Thursday night in Week 7. |

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara told general manager Mickey Loomis that he wanted to retire as a member of the Saints, when approached to see if he wanted to be traded to another organization, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: Few players are as beloved in a home market during such a dry stretch for the fans. While this doesn't guarantee that Kamara won't get traded, we shouldn't be projecting Kamara and Kendre Miller's dynasty value with an assumption that Kamara will get dealt before the deadline. |

Link to storyNew Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave's 54 targets entering Week 6 are the second most in the NFL, and Olave has been targeted at least 10 times in four of his five games.
Footballguys view: Olave is getting a ton of looks from second-year QB Spencer Rattler in 2025. The Saints offense has some flashes here and there, mostly coming from Olave. Fantasy GMs have him in the WR2/flex range on a weekly basis. |
New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson (ankle) practiced in full on Friday and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: It's good to see Johnson get a full practice in on Friday after back-to-back limited days to start the week. Over the first three weeks, Johnson averaged 9.3 targets per game. Over the last two weeks, just 3.5. Johnson hasn't been involved over the last couple of weeks the way he was earlier in the year. He's a streamer in Week 6 against the Patriots. |

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for the team's Week 6 matchup against the New England Patriots.
Footballguys view: Kamara has suffered a few ankle injuries throughout his career. Practicing, even in a limited capacity, inspires hope that he'll be able to play Sunday against the Patriots. However, we'll likely have to wait until Saturday night or Sunday morning for more information. Luckily, if Kamara cannot go, he plays early enough that there will be plenty of options to pivot to. |

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 9.
Footballguys view: Kamara is a seasoned veteran, so this limited status is not much of a concern. It's more of a concern that Kendre Miller is reportedly still going to get opportunities as the Saints employ a RBBC featuring both backs in 2025. |

New Orleans Saints RB Kendre Miller will 'likely keep getting opportunities,' according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: The Saints are using a RBBC with Alvin Kamara and Miller over the last couple of games. Miller rushed 10 times for 41 yards in a Week 5 win over the Giants, while also getting eight yards on one catch. This usage, and the fact he'll likely keep getting opportunities, make Miller a flex play for Fantasy GMs. |

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Footballguys view: Kamara is considered day-to-day with this injury. That means we should see him in Week 6 against the Patriots. Let's see if he can get a full practice in by Friday. He's not producing at the same level he used to, so Kamara is more of a RB2/flex option in 2025. |

Link to storyNew Orleans Saints WR Rashid Shaheed caught four passes for 114 yards and one touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 5. He was targeted five times during the game.
Footballguys view: Spencer Rattler finally hooked up with Shaheed for a long touchdown. While he's far from reliable, at least you know that Shaheed can still give you this in any given week with Rattler now. Consider Shaheed a what-the-heck flex against the Patriots next week. |
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara rushed for 27 yards on eight carries against the New York Giants in Week 5. He also caught four passes for 28 yards during the game.
Footballguys view: Kamara's ceiling is getting lower with the return of Taysom Hill. The Saints won today and a more competitive Saints team is better for his value overall, but Kamara is only a flex play against the Patriots next week. |
