New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill caught three passes for 32 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18. He was targeted three times during the game.
Footballguys view: Hill left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury in the third quarter, making a stop in the medical tent before walking to the locker room. He did not return. The Fox broadcast reported that Hill's shoulder pads and helmet were removed while he was in the medical tent, and he walked to the locker room without them. This game was likely the final contest of his professional career.

New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson caught three passes for 61 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18. He was targeted five times during the game.
Footballguys view: Johnson will be back with the Saints for at least next season with his $9+ million 2026 salary fully guaranteed. He'll be a consideration in fantasy drafts next season as one of Tyler Shough's favorite targets who actually played with the Saints newfound franchise quarterback back in 2019 at Oregon.

New Orleans Saints RB Audric Estime rushed for 63 yards on 21 carries against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18. He also caught five passes for 43 yards during the game.
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough went 23-for-35 for 259 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18. He also rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown on three carries during the game.
Footballguys view: Shough emerging as the answer for the Saints at quarterback was one of the most unexpected developments of the season. He and head coach Kellen Moore are a great combination, and the team should lock up #1 receiver Chris Olave as he heads into his fifth-year option season. Shough was a fantasy QB1 in the second half of the season and he is probably still underrated in dynasty leagues.
New Orleans Saints OT Kelvin Banks Jr. (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during the Week 18 game and has been ruled out.

New Orleans Saints practice squad TE Treyton Welch was signed to the 53-man roster Saturday, Jan. 3. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough has three straight games with at least 250 passing and zero interceptions, tying him for the longest streak by a rookie quarterback in NFL history.
Footballguys view: Shough and the Saints travel to Atlanta to play the Falcons on Sunday. Shough could get that record all to himself if he throws for over 250 yards and no interceptions. We've got him projected as a high-upside QB2 in Week 18, so it's quite possible the Saints rookie quarterback will own that record to himself.
New Orleans Saints practice squad WR Ronnie Bell and WR Samori Toure were signed to the 53-man roster Friday, Jan. 2. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

New Orleans Saints DT Bryan Bresee (knee), RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee), WR Chris Olave (illness) and DT Nathan Shepherd (ankle, knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 2, and have been ruled out for Week 18. QB Spencer Rattler (finger) did not practice and is listed as questionable. LB Demario Davis (calf) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 2, and is not on the injury report for Week 18.
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (illness) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 2, and has been ruled out for Week 18.
Footballguys view: Olave is dealing with a blood clot in his lung, putting him out this week. It was reportedly caught early enough that it should be easily treatable, but any fantasy managers relying on Olave in Week 18 will have to look elsewhere. Kevin Austin Jr and Dante Pettis should serve as the team's top receivers, as Mason Tipton will also be out.
New Orleans Saints WR Mason Tipton (groin) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Jan. 2.
Footballguys view: The Saints are down Tipton and Chris Olave in this matchup. Kevin Austin Jr. and Dante Pettis will be the top receivers in this matchup, dampening expectations for Tyler Shough.
New Orleans Saints TE Jack Stoll (knee), TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden (knee) and CB Michael Davis (shoulder) were placed on the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Jan. 2.

New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (lung) will miss the Week 18 finale after a blood clot was detected in his lung. He's expected to make a full recovery.
Footballguys view: This is a health scare to be sure, but the Saints say they caught this early. Even though he had to build chemistry with two quarterbacks (Spencer Rattler, Tyler Shough) this season, Olave finishes 2025 with career-high totals in targets (156), catches (100), receiving yards (1163), and receiving touchdowns (9). Playing on his fifth-year option in 2026, Olave is in line to get a contract that makes him one of the highest-paid receivers in the league. He's a WR1 for Fantasy GMs in drafts next year.
New Orleans Saints DT Bryan Bresee (knee), CB Michael Davis (shoulder), RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee), TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden (knee), WR Chris Olave (illness), OG Dillon Radunz (knee), QB Spencer Rattler (finger), DT Nathan Shepherd (ankle, knee), TE Jack Stoll (knee) and WR Mason Tipton (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 31. Link to storyNew Orleans Saints WR Kevin Austin Jr. ended up with four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans.
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints WR Dante Pettis ended up with three receptions for 53 yards on four targets in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, and he was credited with one lost fumble. Pettis also had four kick returns for 97 yards, and two punt returns for 22 yards.

New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson ended up with four receptions for 95 yards on four targets in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans.
Link to storyJuwan Johnson player page
New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave posted game highs with eight receptions, 119 yards and 11 targets in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, and he also scored a touchdown.
Footballguys view: Olave was an elite fantasy WR1 with Tyler Shough. He'll play under his fifth year option next season, but expect the team to make a push to get Olave signed long term this offseason. He'll be drafted no later than the second round in fantasy drafts next year.
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill registered three runs for no yards in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, and he did not attempt a pass nor was he targeted in the passing game.
Footballguys view: We can say now that the Saints featured Hill last week as a possible send off for a unique player in front of the fan base that embraced him. Hill did get a few short yardage carries early that were unsuccessful, and then the Saints didn't go back to him.

New Orleans Saints RB Evan Hull rushed twice for three yards in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, while he was not targeted in the passing game.

New Orleans Saints RB Audric Estime rushed 14 times for 94 yards and a touchdown in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, and he added a 4-yard reception on his lone target.
Footballguys view: Estime was a dud last week as the Saints put Taysom Hill in on key running plays during his possible last home game with the Saints. This week, he was the clear lead back and put up the RB2/Flex worthy game that many expected last week.
New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough completed 22-of-27 passes for a career-high 333 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans, while running four times for six yards.
Footballguys view: Shough was a big fantasy hit for anyone who trusted him even though he is a second round pick rookie who is playing with Chris Olave, Juwan Johnson and a bunch of receivers and running backs who weren't on NFL teams at the beginning of the season. The Saints have their quarterback and head coach in place and can start building for the future.
