Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley said he is excited to work with offensive coordinator Sean Mannion because he is bringing a new system to the team. 'As a competitor, you love it. You love the challenge of putting yourself in a new system and doing the things that you do really well, and also things that you need to improve on and that they're going to challenge us to do. Former Minnesota Vikings offensive line coach Chris Kuper was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Feb. 9, in the same capacity.
Footballguys view: Kuper spent the past four seasons in the same role in Minnesota, where he crossed paths with new Eagles OC Sean Mannion. Now, they're teaming up in Philly.
Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown's future with the club remains in question, although the team has not engaged in any trade talks involving him, according to multiple sources. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo added that the Eagles have only had brief talks with Brown's camp recently.
Footballguys view: There's a non-zero chance that Brown gets traded (New England and Buffalo seem like good trade partners), but we shouldn't rule out the possibility that he stays with the Eagles. The cap hit would be big if they deal him, but that we are seeing teams more willing to take dead cap on to move a team forward. Still, with every passing day that we aren't hearing buzz about a Brown trade, the likelihood of him being an Eagle next season goes up.

Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown had five games in 2025 when he failed to catch a pass in the second half.
Footballguys view: Brown's year with the Eagles was...interesting to say the least. He seemed disgruntled most of the year, and now there are rumblings and rumors about teams trying to make a trade for him. Brown said in a recent interview on Media Row at the Super Bowl that he's excited for the upcoming season with the Eagles. It's too early to tell exactly what's going to happen (maybe nothing, maybe something) with Brown this offseason.

Green Bay Packers wide receivers coach Ryan Mahaffey was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday, Feb. 5, as run game coordinator and tight ends coach.
Footballguys view: The Packers coaching staff has been raided by Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion and Dolphins Jeff Hafley since they got promotions on new teams. Mahaffey has experience coaching multiple position groups and is considered to be on the rise in the profession. The Eagles already lost long time offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, and now they will lose tight end coach Jason Michael, which could be a signal that they won't bring back Dallas Goedert in free agency, as the two were considered to be close.
Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw 14 touchdowns and only one interception at home during the 2025 regular season.
Footballguys view: Hurts is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and he's great at home. With three years left on his deal, the Eagles will push for another Super Bowl run in 2026. Hurts should continue being a dominant passer at home.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as pass-game coordinator Friday, Jan. 30.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion has been hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as their new offensive coordinator.
Footballguys view: A former quarterback, Mannion now gets to work with Jalen Hurts. Expect more West Coast/Shanahan concepts from Mannion's offense. He's played for Sean McVay (a Mike Shanahan disciple), and worked with Kevin O'Connell (Vikings) and Matt LaFleur (Packers). With wide-zone running and play-action passing a hallmark of those systems, expect the Eagles to be more explosive on offense in 2026.
