Eagles | Kliff Kingsbury candidate for Eagles OC Tue Jan 13, 08:49 PM
Former Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury will 'get a real look' for the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator.

Free agent RB Carson Steele (Chiefs) signed a reserve/future contract with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
Link to storyThe Eagles have informed OC Kevin Patullo they're making a change at OC following Sunday's wild-card loss to the 49ers, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday. Rapoport and Garafolo reported there's a chance Patullo could remain on Sirianni's coaching staff.
Footballguys view: Following their Super Bowl LIX victory, a triumph marked by a 40-point explosion, the Eagles lost offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to the New Orleans Saints' head coaching job and promoted Patullo to replace him. The move proved to be a costly misstep. Patullo struggled to find his footing as the team's play-caller, resulting in Philly finishing 19th in scoring and 24th in yards -- both easily the worst results on Nick Sirianni's five-year tenure as head coach. From 2022-24, the Eagles never finished worse than seventh in scoring or eighth in yards.
Free-agent WR Danny Gray (Eagles) and WR Quez Watkins (Eagles) signed Reserve/Future contracts with the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Jan. 12. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert is set to become a free agent this offseason, and he'll only be back with the Eagles if he's willing to sign a 'team-friendly' deal, in the opinion of ESPN's Dan Graziano.
Footballguys view: It looked like Goedert wasn't going to return for the 2025 season, but then the two sides finally reached an agreement on a one-year deal to bring him back for his 8th NFL season. The 31-year-old in 2025 played in 15 games and caught 60 passes for 591 yards and a career-high 11 touchdown catches. He had two more touchdowns in the playoff game, but cost will be a determining factor in a potential return.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts completed 20-of-35 passes for 168 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in an NFC Wild Card game loss against the San Francisco 49ers, while running five times for 14 yards. RB Saquon Barkley rushed 26 times for a game-high 106 yards with three receptions for 25 yards on six targets. RB Tank Bigsby had four runs for 19 yards, with RB Will Shipley chipping in with a 6-yard grab on his lone touch and target. WR DeVonta Smith posted team bests with eight receptions and 70 yards on 11 targets, while new dad TE Dallas Goedert had four receptions for 33 yards and a TD, while also running for a 1-yard score. WR A.J. Brown had three receptions for 25 yards on seven targets, but he also had a key drop in the fourth quarter and a shouting match with head coach Nick Sirianni during the game. WR Darius Cooper had a 9-yard catch on his only target, while WR Jahan Dotson didn't have a catch on his lone target. DB Quinyon Mitchell had two interceptions and three passes defensed, while DE Jalen Carter had three total stops, a solo tackle, a sack, a tackle for loss and a QB hit.
Footballguys view: The Eagles offense has been a dysfunctional family all season, and it ended up being the downfall of the 2025 season for the team. AJ Brown had a terrible drop with the team driving to win the game, and was seen having a heated exchange with head coach Nick Sirianni on the sideline earlier in the game. That won't quiet speculation that he gets dealt in the offseason. The 49ers were without their starting linebackers, but the Eagles underachieved on offense all day. It could lead to both the firing of offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo and the hiring of 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh as a head coach in this firing/hiring cycle - but not for at least one more week. Dallas Goedert is also a free agent, so there could be some major changes for this offense in the offseason.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 9, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game.
Footballguys view: After a full practice, Goedert should play on Sunday without any restrictions. His fantasy value has been heavily skewed by touchdowns this year, but his ability to consistently find the end zone makes him an appealing option against the 49ers.

Link to storyPhiladelphia Eagles RB Tank Bigsby rushed 16 times for 75 and a touchdown in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders, and he posted a 31-yard reception on his lone target.
Footballguys view: As the Philly Voice noted, operating behind Saquon Barkley on the depth chart, Bigsby makes something out of it with shiftiness and a willingness to lower his shoulder and charge through despite his 5-11, 215-pound frame. He can be handy for the Eagles going into the playoffs as a 1-2 punch with Barkley. Obviously, he can absorb punishment, which lessens it for Barkley on another potentially lengthy postseason run, while being able to make a play or two himself, too. Head coach Nick Sirianni and coordinator Kevin Patullo have to get him out there.
