Evans can play without practicing, and he can produce against a poor Commanders pass defense, but you have to have a hedge from the Commanders or 49ers if you are going to rely on him. If you can move Evans into your flex to expand options, even better. Rachaad White and Chig Okonkwo are the best flex options to carry, and Brandin Cooks and Stefon Diggs are the best wide receivers who might be on your waiver wire to cover Evans. If you have to go deeper, Austin Ekeler and Kaelon Black are possible flex options and Antonio Williams, Jordan Watkins, and Treylon Burks are additional wide receiver options. The 49ers' bye is in Week 8, which could make them more inclined to rest Evans if they are worried about his injuries worsening if he takes the field Monday night. |
