| Footballguys view: Monday's practice is the first one the 30-year-old RB has missed in this year's camp. As USA Today's Kyle Madson suggested, given McCaffrey's importance to the 49ers, it's not a huge surprise they'd be cautious with any issue he's having. Even general tightness isn't worth pushing on Aug. 10 with a joint practice against the Tennessee Titans looming Tuesday. It's unclear whether McCaffrey will be ready in time to participate in that joint session. We'll follow up, but there's nothing to indicate McCaffrey will be out for any prolonged period. |

Evans is often available in the fifth round even though he should be the clear #1 target in a productive passing game. The age/injury risk is more than baked into his cost. |

It's still an ominous trend when you combine it with three of the team's top four running backs being out, leaving only Christian McCaffrey as healthy enough to practice right now. |

| Footballguys view: Stribling has a game that features speed, tenacious blocking, and run-after-the-catch ability. It's no surprise the rookie has been standing out with the 49ers, but he has had a hamstring injury that has kept him out of practice for a few days. He needs to get healthy (a recent problem for 49ers wideouts) and continue to impress in training camp and the preseason. Stribling has a current ADP of WR69 (15.01) in 12-team PPR leagues. |

Pearsall was dealing with the same PCL that he worked through last year, and there was a thought he wouldn't need surgery. Instead, he does need surgery and now will be on the road to recovery (again) post-surgery. Dynasty GMs might want to throw out some low-ball offers just to see. Pearsall is a lottery-ticket type of player who could pay some dividends in 2027 and beyond...if he can stay healthy. |
