NFL teams have recently shifted their focus to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, which has changed how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play a near every-down role, players are deployed as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This opened the door for more potential IDP streaming options.
Being able to stream positions is key to winning leagues. It is impossible to nail down every roster position with studs. You always walk away with one of your position groups feeling thin. This weekly article will cover IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and Edge positions to help you win your leagues.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Braden Fiske, Los Angeles Rams
Matchup: Tennessee Titans - Ranked 16th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Fiske had a tremendous rookie season as part of the fearsome foursome on the Rams' defensive line. That foursome includes Fiske, Kobie Turner, Jared Verse, and Byron Young—a young, punch-you-in-the-mouth group of defensive linemen.
Obviously the peanut punch by Landman is sick but look at the fumble recovery from Braden Fiske again.

Fiske finished 2024 with 43 tackles, eight-and-a-half sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. Fiske was quiet in Week 1, though so was the rest of the line outside of Young.
The Rams will face the Titans in Week 2. Their offensive line just allowed six sacks to the Broncos in Week 1, the most of any team in that period. The mix of a rookie starting quarterback and a mediocre offensive line, let's say that Cameron Ward will have another rough day. Fiske is a great IDP streaming option for Week 2.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Byron Murphy II, Seattle Seahawks
Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers - Ranked 20th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Murphy was expected to be in the running for defensive rookie of the year in 2024, though that did not go as planned. He struggled to create pressure and accounted for just 36 tackles. Murphy was stuck behind Dre'Mont Jones and Leonard Williams, but is now cemented in a starting role with Jones gone. He responded well with six total tackles in Week 1. Murphy may not have huge pass-rush upside, but he provides a great tackle floor.
The Seahawks play the Steelers in Week 2. They allowed four sacks in Week 1, which was tied for the third-most allowed. Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainewell, the current one-two punch of running backs, are not the most elusive of backs. Murphy should be able to wrap his mitts around them like the Hamburgler at McDonald's - I showed my age there. Murphy's tackle floor makes him a nice IDP streaming option this week.
IDP Streaming Option: Edge Tuli Tuipulotu, Los Angeles Chargers
Matchup: Las Vegas Raiders - Ranked 23rd in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Tuipulotu was a hot commodity this off-season, the apple of everyone's eye—rightfully so. He had a tremendous second year with 38 tackles, eight-and-a-half sacks, a forced fumble, and two passes defended. He played so well that the Chargers allowed long-time fan favorite Joey Bosa to leave during free agency. They probably did not want to stress about his injuries, and I don't blame them.
Tuipulotu had just a single assisted tackle in Week 1. Don't let that leave a sour taste in your mouth. He should toss Raiders offensive linemen like Donkey Kong tossing a barrel. The Raiders allowed four sacks in Week 1, tied for the third-most in the NFL. Tuipulotu should have a bounce-back game and is a surefire IDP streaming option for Week 2.
