This gives you a good reason to try him as a what-the-heck flex against the Jets in Week 9. He also carries a very high ceiling if Ken Walker goes down with the Chiefs committed to the run, and Walker has never held up for a full season as a lead back.
Allgeier had a massive Week 8 in a stunning comeback victory over the Cowboys, but we should chalk that up to the Cowboys going through the motions in the second half, not Allgeier all of a sudden becoming Jamal Lewis. Jeremiyah Love (ankle) and Bam Knight (concussion) left the game with injuries. We'll see if either can play in Week 9, but even if Allgeier gets the backfield to himself, he's facing the brick-wall Seahawks run defense. UPDATE: Allgeier jumps up to being the top add at running back this week with the news that Jeremiyah Love is going on injured reserve.
