Upgrades and Downgrades

Ben Johnson said he wanted to set the single-season scoring record, and he's off to a good start. Williams was a lethal scrambler and good enough as a passer to be part of a 59-point effort. The Carolina defense is suspect, but this is still a meaningful result. Williams has a tougher matchup in Week 2 against the Vikings, so we'll see how much of Week 1's result was due to the Panthers and how much was due to the Bears.

It's hard to imagine the consensus QB1 being an upgrade after Week 1, but Allen is after he put up a huge game against his nemesis defense in Houston. The Texans defense is outstanding, so if Allen can find holes in that unit, he is going to have field days against lesser defenses, like Detroit on Thursday night in Week 2.
