The leaves are falling. Pumpkin spice lattes are back. College football is here, and it's magnificent. The 2027 NFL Draft class has been getting an injection of hype since Jeremiah Smith stepped on campus in Columbus, Ohio, and this class looks like it could be one of the all-time greats.
In superflex leagues, the real depth of this class comes from a full stable of quarterbacks, each with a case for a top-50 pick in the NFL Draft. In Dane Brugler's top-50 prospects for the 2027 NFL Draft, 18 were fantasy-relevant positions. For comparison, 2026 only had 13 fantasy-relevant players in the top-50 picks.
For the first week, I wanted to spend a little extra time telling you about the players. I won't go this in-depth on the top prospects every week, but some of these names are new to the dynasty radar, and background information on them will be nice to have as we value what an "early 2027 first" truly means. Without further ado, the first rendition of 2027 dynasty rookie rankings.

1. Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
Former number one recruit from Opa Locka, Florida, straight to the wide receiver factory. Was a state gold medal winner for track in the 110 and 400 hurdles, and has been a regular on Bruce Feldman's Freak List. He's Geno Smith's cousin, a two-time All-American, and a force to be reckoned with.
On the field, he's a size-speed freak with strong hands at the catch point and solid change of direction for as much mass as he's moving. He's too big for smaller corners, too fast for bigger corners, and too polished for man coverage to be an option at the college level.
