Scouting Report
Cyrus Allen took a winding journey to the 2026 draft. The three-star prospect from New Orleans started his career at Louisiana Tech, immediately contributing as a key big-play threat and returner on special teams. A transfer to Texas A&M was next, though he lost his spot in the rotation, and his season ended early with an arm injury. The Aggies flipped their WR room following 2024, bringing in KC Concepcion and Mario Craver to replace their top four receivers, all of whom either hit the portal or the draft.
Allen chose Cincinnati, swayed by quarterback Brendan Sorsby, and blossomed with a school record 13 touchdown receptions. Allen relies more on quickness than top-end speed. He cuts with suddenness in the short passing game, a trait that made him lethal on the goal line in Cincinnati's offense. After the catch, his return experience takes over, making him a strong contributor in the receiver screen game. He primarily worked out of the slot, and Cincinnati would shift his alignment, utilizing jet motion to involve him in the option game. Allen profiles as a depth receiver who could contribute on special teams and is not likely to hear his name before Day 3.
Rundown
Allen offers quickness and precision on his routes, making him a valuable chain mover. His return background makes him a threat after the catch and allows him to contribute out of the backfield.
