Scouting Report
Dillon Bell did everything in high school, playing running back, wide receiver, and quarterback, as well as basketball and track. The result was interest above that of a typical three-star prospect, as Bell picked Georgia over Michigan and Texas A&M. He contributed immediately at Georgia as a true freshman on Georgia's 2022 National Championship team, finishing with the fourth-most receptions among wide receivers. His versatility may have kept him from a breakout role; he ended up filling in wherever needed over his four-year career, stepping in at running back, running trick plays, or as a depth receiver. Bell earned an opportunity in the Shrine Bowl, where he has put together impressive days of practice.
Bell is a densely built receiver with excellent play strength. His game is built more on strength than precision or suddenness. A glue guy; he consistently produced in big moments. He is comfortable as a downfield threat, playing the ball in the air, and displaying field awareness. His production profile could look dramatically different on a less talented roster. He is a sleeper worth watching as a Day 3 pick with tools to make a roster.
Rundown
Bell is a physically impressive receiver who offers the roster versatility teams crave to round out a receiving room. Playing on a talented roster put his production profile in sleeper territory, making him worth monitoring.
