Scouting Report
Jadarian Price was a four-star recruit out of high school. He drew interest from major programs, including Ohio State, Texas, USC, and Auburn, ultimately committing to Notre Dame. Price missed his freshman season in 2022 with an Achilles injury but returned in 2023 in a rotation behind Audric Estime. Price's role expanded in 2024 alongside Jeremiyah Love. In 2025, while maintaining rotational carries, Price emerged as a premier kick returner, leading the FBS in kickoff return yards and earning All-American honors for his contributions on special teams.
Price's burst and acceleration are exceptional. He reaches top speed almost instantaneously and displays strong instincts in open space, turning small creases into explosive plays. When rushing lanes collapse, he's willing to absorb contact. He favors explosive plays over grinding out yards, occasionally resulting in negative runs. While his receiving volume was limited, Price made the most of opportunities, scoring on three of his 15 career receptions. Spending his career behind NFL-level talent has capped his workload, and his undersized frame may limit his ability to handle a full lead-back role. Still, his combination of speed, vision, and explosiveness translates immediately to the NFL, particularly as an electric kick returner and rotational back with big-play upside.
Rundown
Price is an electric, multi-phase weapon with game-breaking burst and special teams value, but workload and size concerns suggest a complementary role rather than a feature-back projection.
