Scouting Report

John Michael Gyllenborg is one of the most athletic tight ends in this class. He was a basketball star who played only one season of high school football but was still a three-star recruit. Gyllenborg committed to Wyoming and played all four seasons for the Cowboys, but battled multiple lower-body injuries and a broken collarbone during his time there. He was named to Feldman's Freak list with a reported 37-inch vertical, 500-lb squat, 350-lb bench, and a GPS speed of 21.6 mph.

Gyllenborg is an exceptional athlete flying down the field. There are moments where he looks like a wide receiver separating from corners with speed alone. Despite his speed and power, he doesn't break tackles often and goes down at first contact. For someone with a 500-lb squat, he struggles to translate raw strength into blocking success. He has inconsistent hand placement and can't quite figure out the leverage to convert raw gym power into effective run-blocking.

Rundown

Gyllenborg will be everyone's favorite sleeper after the combine and has the raw athleticism to be an immediate impact as part of a tight end rotation.
