Alec Pierce

Pierce is coming off a career-best 1,000-yard breakout season and enters 2026 as the Colts' top perimeter weapon following Michael Pittman's departure. While a Spring ankle procedure could delay his start to training camp, his secure role in the offense and deep-threat chemistry with Daniel Jones make him a highly appealing target in the middle rounds.

He underwent surgery in late March to address chronic pain that had lingered since 2024. A six-month recovery timeline puts his Week 1 availability in doubt. Don't draft players who are already hurt.

Pierce has not only been the best deep threat in the team for years, but he also become the best route runner last year. While surgery Pierce had was for an issue he has managed through last year and not deemed serious, the rehab could take longer than expected. 

With Pierce's projected rehab time bleeding into season, I've dropped him down my board to a low-end WR3. Still, it's likely that Pierce will have a per-game value as a WR1 if he's working with Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson. The worst case will come if Riley Leaonard is in the lineup. 

Until we are told Alec Pierce will be missing part of the season for the Colts, which we have not as of yet, I am still ranking him as a borderline WR2
