Carson Beck

Beck has prototypical size. There are questions about the top end of his arm talent since elbow surgery in 2024, but he can make most of the throws teams expect from starting NFL quarterbacks. 

When Beck understands the defense, he can make multiple reads and deliver the ball with accuracy. When he's rushed or confused, Beck has a problem with throwing hospital balls. 

Beck also doesn't account for defenders within range to undercut or cut off his targets but aren't the primary coverage with the read. This happens at various points of the field and will be more commonplace in the NFL. 

If the Cardinals aren't contending for a playoff spot by midseason, Beck will get the rest of the year to gain experience as a starter. It could change the dynamic of which receivers have rapport with Beck and how frequently Beck can advance to additional reads on a play that a veteran like Jacoby Brissett might.
