Brooks is a late-round favorite of mine who starred at Cal before transferring to BYU. Two years ago, Brooks made the Dolphins' roster as a UDFA and performed well at the end of regular season games before getting hurt.
Brooks has excellent hands, nimble feet, and strong vision. He's a powerful back with elite contact balance. All he lacks is top speed.
Miami had to part ways with a back and choose the least experienced player with the lowest salary. Brooks wound up in Green Bay and forced a split with incumbent Emmanuel Wilson for the No.2 role behind Josh Jacobs.
Marshawn Lloyd's speed and draft capital muddies the path for Brooks to earn the playing time his talents merit, but Lloyd is hurt, unproven, and Brooks' all-around skills have earned him the No. 2 spot.
