With Mike Evans gone, Godwin is fully healthy and primed to reclaim his heavy-volume slot role under new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson, making him a major value at his current ADP.

Chris Godwin is this year’s Chris Olave, a proven high-end receiver whose ADP has cratered because people have forgotten what he looks like when healthy. Godwin is finally back to full strength after spending last offseason rehabbing a catastrophic leg injury, and he’s returning to the primary slot role that last saw him lead the NFL in PPR points through six games in 2024. He'll share targets with Emeka Egbuka, but Godwin spent years producing alongside Mike Evans and enters 2026 with an ADP in the WR35-40 range. Olave turned a similar market overreaction into a WR6 finish last year, and Godwin has the pedigree and role to deliver the same type of league-winning value in 2026.

Godwin has been a favorite of mine for years, but I overestimated his recovery timeline last year. This year, he enters camp in a much better place, physically. He'll likely move around the formation to help dictate matchups while still earning a high percentage of slot alignments that should lead to fantasy WR2 volume. 

Emeka Egbuka started hot and should continue developing, but he has always had minor catch issues with specific targets. Expectations of Egbuka delivering Jaxon Smith-Njigba's 2025 production should be tempered if the drops remain a minor problem, but he should deliver no worse than low-end WR3 value and likely be a good fantasy WR2.

With Mike Evans gone, Godwin's range of outcomes span 100 targets to 150 targets, depending on usage. He'll likely be Baker Mayfield's favorite red-zone target and compete for the leaderboard for TDs on the team. 

The danger of a decline is near, but at Godwin's price and expertise, I'll take the risk.
