Swift and Kyle Monangai may have an uncertain split in carries, but Swift has the experience and has more trust with the coaching staff. His upside is likely fo be capped, but he should be a reliable RB2

Swift enters the final year of his contract, coming off a career-best 1,087-yard rushing season as the lead rushing weapon in Ben Johnson's productive offense. Expect some carry-share tendencies with teammate Kyle Monangai, which slightly caps his week-to-week ceiling.

The Bears' offense should continue to improve in Ben Johnson's second season. Swift's role looks unchanged from the one that produced an RB13 finish last year, and his ceiling is even higher.

Swift had his best year as a decision-maker on film and producer. Eric Bienemy got the best from Swift while also pairing him with sixth-round pick, Kyle Monangai.
Look for Monangai to earn a bigger share of the workload, but for Swift to remain efficient enough to lead the backfield, statistically. Think close to a 50/50 split.

Swift was RB21 in PPR formats in 2022, playing the 1B role to David Montgomery's 1A with Ben Johnson as his OC. He was RB14 last season as Johnson's lead back. 2026 is a contract year for Swift, 27, so a heavy workload is likely. Beyond that, he'll be 28 and potentially on a new team.

D'Andre Swift, Kyle Monangai both on the field Monday
RBs D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai were back on the field at Halas Hall as the Chicago Bears got in a 50-minute bonus practice in advance of the season opener.
D'Andre Swift experienced cramps
Bears RB D'Andre Swift, who left Thursday's practice and was said to be in significant discomfort, was said to be experiencing "a cramp," sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
D'Andre Swift exits practice early with apparent injury
Bears RB D'Andre Swift exited Thursday's practice with an apparent injury. He left toward the end of practice during a full team period. After carrying the ball on a first-and-10 from the offense's own 1-yard line, Swift came off the field apparently holding at his midsection or core area.
Kyle Monangai hurt in practice
Adam Hoge reports that Bears RB Kyle Monangai suffered "what appeared to be a right knee injury" when he was tackled from behind. The team wasn't wearing pads, and Grady Jarrett, who tackled Monangai, tried to hold him and apparently visibly felt bad about the injury. Monangai and a trainer tested the injury and walked off of the practice field together. Monangai was reportedly walking gingerly, but did not need the cart.
