Montgomery should have a solid 2026, but after that it gets patchy. He turns 30 soon enough and has been a supporting back in Detroit of late. Always reliable, but every back has their use by date. Montgomerys will be soon.

Woody Marks scores on five carries in loss to Colts

Texans RB Woody Marks rushed five times for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Colts. He added one catch for six yards. Marks scored one of Houston's two touchdowns while working behind RB David Montgomery.

David Montgomery stuffed on 4th-and-1, another short-yardage fail for Texans

Texans RB David Montgomery was stopped for no gain on a fourth-and-1 attempt during Sunday's game against the Colts. It was another failed fourth-and-1 conversion for Houston, similar to one in last week's game.

Chase's spectacular 32-yard TD grab gives Bengals 7-3 halftime lead over Texans

Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk reports that Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase made a 32-yard touchdown catch over tight coverage from Texans CB Derek Stingley with 3:29 left in the first half on Sunday, September 20. Chase has four catches for 48 yards as Cincinnati leads Houston 7-3 at halftime. Bengals QB Joe Burrow is 12-of-19 for 129 yards and a touchdown, with WR Tee Higgins catching four passes for 72 yards and RB Chase Brown rushing seven times for 42 yards. Texans QB C.J. Stroud has completed 15 of 24 passes for 182 yards, with TE Dalton Schultz catching four passes for 68 yards, while RB David Montgomery has just 10 yards on six carries; Houston has settled for a 37-yard Ka'imi Fairbairn field goal after going 0-for-3 in the red zone.
