Summary

When the Steelers selected Devin Bush at ten overall in 2019, they thought he would be their leader at inside linebacker for years to come. As a rookie in 2019, Bush played the part but since suffering an ACL injury in October of 2020, he has not been the same. It might be a case where he just needs two years to fully recover but his part-time role in 2021 but the team's decision not to exercise Bush's fifth-year contract option, and the free-agent addition of Myles Jack, are telltale signs that the organization may not be sold on him. Bush had a horrible 2021 in terms of production, with 68 combined tackles and 2 sacks in 15 games. He was thought by many to be the best inside linebacker in his draft class, so there is a chance he will bounce back big. Consider Bush a late-round sleeper with Lb3 potential.
