Ja'Marr Chase working his way through the concussion protocol
Bengals coach Zac Taylor confirmed Ja'Marr Chase is in concussion protocol, and they'll take him day to day.
Ja'Marr Chase in concussion protocol, Higgins timetable 'uncertain' after abductor injury
Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase entered the concussion protocol after leaving Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Jaguars in the first half, and Head Coach Zac Taylor did not have an immediate update on WR Tee Higgins, who left on Cincinnati's final drive with an abductor injury. Both receivers' timetables to return are uncertain. Higgins had 11 catches for 157 yards before exiting. With WR Andrei Iosivas on injured reserve after thumb surgery and WR Colbie Young (knee) missing Sunday's game, the Bengals may explore signing more reinforcements if Chase and Higgins can't play against the Dolphins in Week 5.
Gesicki owns up to late miscue as Chase, Higgins injuries cloud Week 5
Bengals TE Mike Gesicki took responsibility for an apparent miscommunication with QB Joe Burrow on the final series of Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. "It was a play that, because of personnel shuffling, normally that's Tee (Higgins) running that. So then, I went we moved to Tee's spot. I felt the corner heavy inside. I'm supposed to cross his face. I didn't," Gesicki said after the game. "There's no excuse for things like that. I was just trying to make a play." WR Ja'Marr Chase is in the concussion protocol and WR Tee Higgins is dealing with an adductor injury ahead of the Week 5 game at the Dolphins.
