Murray ruled out for Week 2 vs. Bears with concussion, Wentz to start
Zachary Pereles of CBS Sports reports that Vikings QB Kyler Murray is out for Week 2 against the Bears due to a concussion, with QB Carson Wentz set to make his sixth start for Minnesota since last season. Murray's debut for the Vikings ended after less than a quarter when he was hit by two Packers defenders while scrambling and did not return. Wentz relieved Murray and went 12-for-19 for 133 yards and three touchdowns, including a 39-yard score to WR Justin Jefferson, without committing a turnover.
Max Brosmer dealing with wrist injury
Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer (wrist) did not practice on Monday, Aug. 17, due to an injured right wrist. It's unclear if Brosmer will be available for the team's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, Aug. 22.
Two players banged up following first preseason game
Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer (right thumb) and OT Caleb Tiernan (left ankle) both left the preseason game with their injuries, according to a source on Saturday, Aug. 15. Brosmer left after his hand got hit on his final throw of the third quarter.
