Cooper may require patience from dynasty managers. For a start he lands with the Jets that have Garrett Wilson as a sure fire WR1. Geno Smith may be the best QB they have had for a few years, but thats an indictment on the club. Hopefully we see development through the year.

Jets place WR Arian Smith, DL Onyemata, LB McCrary-Ball on IR
Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk reports that the Jets are placing WR Arian Smith (knee), DL David Onyemata (groin) and LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball (ankle) on injured reserve after all three were injured in Sunday's overtime loss to the Packers. The three players must miss a minimum of four games before returning. New York has now placed WR Tim Patrick (groin) and WR Omar Cooper Jr. (high ankle) on IR as well, further depleting the wide receiver room, while DL Darrell Jackson is expected to see more snaps in Onyemata's absence. In corresponding moves, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post, the Jets are signing WR Malik McClain, DE Jack Heflin and LB Troy Reeder to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

Jets.com reports that New York placed rookie WR Omar Cooper Jr. on injured reserve after he sustained an ankle injury in the Jets' Week 1 23-10 victory over the Titans. Cooper, selected No. 30 overall in April's draft, played the opening series and had a 30-yard reception that set up New York's first touchdown of the year. The Jets also elevated K Jason Sanders and LB Troy Reeder from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Packers. Sanders made three field goals in Week 1, including two from 50-plus yards, while Reeder joins the roster after most recently being with Detroit.
