Pat Freiermuth

Steelers beat writers forecased Freiermuth last year as the heartbeat of the offense, but it never materialized. Mike McCarthy has a track record of using tight ends wisely in his schemes.

Freiermuth told reporters this spring that he holds the key to how much of a ceiling he'll have in this offense. It's a vague statement that's easy to read too much optimism from it. 

Freiermuth excels in the red zone when targeted and he's a solid play-action seam player who can block. His counterpart, Washington will also see a lot of action and many will initially forecast him as the high-ceilng fantasy option. 

Arthur Smith runs a good offense in the classroom, but his adaptability to talent was questionable. Kyle Pitts thrived post-Smith. Let's see if Freiermuth does, too.
