Mahomes leads Chiefs past Colts in OT after bizarre fumble sequence

Yahoo Sports reports that the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Indianapolis Colts in overtime after a bizarre fumble sequence that nearly cost them the game. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns in the 33-30 overtime win. The Chiefs initially believed they had won on the fumble play before the contest ultimately extended into overtime.

Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk reports that Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 32-of-47 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns, while RB Kenneth Walker III added 117 rushing yards on 24 carries plus 61 receiving yards in Kansas City's 33-30 overtime win over Indianapolis. TE Travis Kelce caught nine passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, and Harrison Butker's 40-yard field goal sealed the victory. Colts QB Daniel Jones went 22-of-31 for 210 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while RB Jonathan Taylor rushed for 92 yards and two scores. Colts WR Alec Pierce left the game with a heel injury to the same foot he had surgically repaired in the offseason; X-rays were negative, but he is set for further testing on Monday.

Kelce scores first TD of season after Fulton's pick-six setup, Chiefs lead 10-7

Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk reports that Chiefs CB Kristian Fulton intercepted Colts QB Daniel Jones on a pass intended for WR Keenan Allen, giving Kansas City the ball at the Indianapolis 16-yard line. After a short run by RB Kenneth Walker III, QB Patrick Mahomes hit TE Travis Kelce for a 13-yard touchdown, powering his way into the end zone. It is Kelce's first touchdown of the season and Mahomes' third passing touchdown of the year, giving Kansas City a 10-7 lead.
