Rachaad White

Receiving backs matter in fantasy football. Bucky Irving may have stolen his lead back job, but Rachaad White recorded over 50 receptions and six receiving touchdowns. As Irving is undersized, White will still get touches in the backfield. With at least 50 catches in each of his three seasons he has a relatively high floor and is heavily underrated as a fantasy prospect. 

Groin injury clouds his early-season outlook, but should regain his pass-catching role when healthy. Any potential absence opens the door for talented runner Sean Tucker to steal playing time.

This is White's last year in Tampa and White is making that known through the media. That's not a great look when considering how productive Bucky Irving was and how promising Sean Tucker is. 

Speaking of Tucker, the Buccaneers coaching staff and GM Jason Licht told the media this spring that they want to get Tucker the ball more. Licht characterized Tucker as an NFL starting talent. 

During the past two years, White hasn't been as bad as fantasy players and fans may characterize. White had to do more of the dirty work that Irving didn't see against defenses aligned to stop the run as well as earn the ball in situations where defenses weren't thinking pass. 

Still, the momentum with the team's feelings about its depth chart could be sliding Tucker's way. Stay tuned. 

He should not be an afterthought to drafters, despite Bucky Irving snatching the starting job from him last year. White still has solid size at 214 pounds, is a great athlete, and is a talented dual-threat. White has caught 115 passes over the past two NFL seasons. He put up 1,539 total yards in 2023 and 1,006 total yards last year. He scored 9 touchdowns in both seasons.

Bucky Irving broke out last year after White got injured, but White maintained a quietly steady role as a receiver.
