Is your fantasy football league thriving, or is it simply surviving? Welcome back to The Home League Show, where we celebrate everything that makes fantasy football more than just a game — the friendships, rivalries, traditions, trash talk, and unforgettable moments that bring our leagues together.
Hosted by Kevin Murray and Joey Wright, this week's episode is all about taking the temperature of your fantasy football league. We're approaching the heart of the season, making this the perfect time to evaluate what's working, identify opportunities for improvement, and find ways to make the rest of the season even more enjoyable. From keeping managers engaged and navigating midseason frustrations to planning new traditions and league improvements for 2027, we're helping commissioners and league members build a better fantasy football experience.

🏈 Home League Huddle: The Midseason League Temperature Check
Our featured discussion takes a closer look at the health of fantasy football leagues and how to keep the experience going strong. League Culture: Are managers having fun, communicating, and staying connected? Competitive Engagement: Are struggling teams still setting lineups, making trades, and participating? What's Working: Celebrate successful traditions, memorable moments, and positive league experiences. Room for Improvement: Identify frustrations with rules, scoring, trades, and league management. Immediate Improvements: Creative ways to energize your league through power rankings, weekly awards, rivalries, and more. Planning for 2027: Start collecting feedback on potential rule changes, draft experiences, playoff formats, and new traditions. Plus, we share a simple five-question league temperature check that commissioners can use to gather feedback and make every manager feel heard.
⚖️ Commissioner's Court: The Commissioner's Secret Deal A commissioner privately covers a struggling manager's league entry fee. Months later, that manager is the championship favorite, and another league member discovers the arrangement. Was it an act of compassion or an abuse of commissioner authority? Kevin and Joey examine both sides of this fascinating league controversy.
👑 Crown or Cancel? It's time for some quick decisions on fantasy football rules, traditions, and a few things completely unrelated to football! From kickers and trade vetoes to last-place punishments, weekly power rankings, and even theme parks, we're deciding what deserves the crown and what needs to go.
