Witherspoon returned in Week 9; however, Emmanwori continued to operate as the Seahawks’ slot defender, while Witherspoon saw more time out wide. Even with Witherspoon back this week, Emmanwori played 57 defensive snaps (88%), recording six tackles (5 solos) and one tackle for loss against Washington. Emmanwori’s pairing of game and deployment as the Seattle nickel defender makes him an intriguing waiver wire option where available.

With DeShonn Elliot (knee) recently placed on IR, the Steelers opted to trade for Kyle Dugger from New England. Dugger started and played 77 defensive snaps (99%) in his first as a Steeler, though he recorded just four tackles (1 solo). Dugger saw most of his time deep in Week 9, but the potential for him to settle into Elliot’s more box-heavy role is alluring.
