Is there ever a more exciting time than when the holidays are close, but not here? There are numerous reasons why you may feel this way, but the excitement of the upcoming celebration (or time off work) pales in comparison to the thrill of a late-season playoff run to capture glory in IDP. To achieve this goal, you must evaluate your roster each and every week, becoming more scrutinizing with each passing day. That's why the market is here. 12 players each week that I'm taking swings on and evaluating from afar. The beauty is, this information is yours to decipher, and whether you believe it or not, the information is there. So take this info, and use it to win the whole damn thing. We are mere weeks from the money weeks, but we all know, the playoffs might as well have already started! There's no room for error henceforth. Ring the bell, and let's win our leagues.

Fortune 5

Edge Myles Garrett, Cleveland

Myles Garrett isn't just the best edge rusher in football right now—he's building a legitimate case as the greatest ever. This week, he broke the NFL record for most consecutive seasons with 12+ sacks, capped by a monstrous four-sack outburst—his second four-plus sack game already this year. I used to knock Garrett as a boom-or-bust IDP option because his fantasy value lived and died with sacks while tackle totals lagged (47 last year, 42 the year before). Not anymore. With seven games still to play, he's already at 39 tackles and 15 sacks. Myles Garrett is on the verge of a career-high tackle season while simultaneously threatening the all-time single-season sack record. He is must-start, every-week royalty.

LB Jordyn Brooks, Miami

I'm ready to declare Jordyn Brooks the undisputed GOAT of IDP leagues. No one embodies what wins in IDP better than relentless, high-volume tackling that delivers week after week. Solo tackle purist? Brooks dropped 10 this week alone. Total tackle fanatic? He piled on 10 assists for a jaw-dropping 20 combined, his third game this season with 14+. With six games left, he's already at 125 tackles, leading the NFL and on pace to shatter records. Oh, and he's just 28, with prime years ahead. The hype train is full throttle. Hop on now, or get left in the dust. Brooks isn't just a starter; he's a dynasty cornerstone.

LB Cedric Gray, Tennessee

Cedric Gray might not have Jordyn Brooks-level fireworks, but he's quietly locking down set-and-forget LB2 status with long-term LB1 upside. In his first true season of playing time, the rookie has already eclipsed 100 tackles and counting. The Titans' linebacker room offers zero real competition, making Gray a foundational piece for both Tennessee's defense and your IDP roster for years to come. He's posted double-digit tackles in six of his last seven games, and his closing schedule is mouthwatering, with games against the Browns, Jaguars, and 49ers, all bottom-half units against opposing linebackers. Gray is no longer a stash; he's a weekly starter you can confidently ride into dynasties.

LB Blake Cashman, Minnesota

I slow-play players returning from injury, so I'm late to the Blake Cashman party, and boy, what a party it is. The Vikings linebacker has been an absolute monster since suiting up again in Week 7 against the Eagles after missing five of the first six weeks with a hamstring issue. His return was modest with just two tackles, but since then? Zero games under double digits, including a 15-tackle explosion last week. Cashman has led Minnesota in stops for four straight outings, racking up 51 in that span while logging every defensive snap. He's the ultimate under-the-radar gem for savvy IDP managers who skip the hype trains, now a locked-in cornerstone for your roster and the Vikings' front seven.

Edge Brian Burns, NY Giants

Brian Burns is the edge-rushing revelation capping off an exhilarating season for the NFL's premier pass-rush talents. Long known for his raw ability to wreck quarterbacks, Burns has finally unlocked the consistency that turns stars into weekly dominators. In his second season with the Giants, he's shattering expectations with a career-high 13 sacks already, six games from the finish line, while tying his personal best in tackles for loss and sitting one defended pass shy of matching his peak. This isn't a fluke; it's peak Burns, blending disruption with reliability to propel IDP managers straight to Super Bowls. No longer a matchup gamble, he's a dynasty anchor whose elite production is just getting started.
