Injuries were relatively light this week, but a few involved marquee fantasy players, and others will result in significant time missed. Part of being a successful fantasy manager is learning to adjust to the curveballs that inevitably come - most often in the form of injuries. I break down the key situations in more detail below.
Key: Position Player, Team | Injury | Projected Return to Play
RB Austin Ekeler, Washington | Achilles Tendon Rupture | Season Ending
Unfortunately, we have our first season-ending injury of the season. On Thursday, Austin Ekeler went down late in the 4th quarter with a non-contact injury. By video, it looked to be an Achilles tendon rupture. Washington later confirmed this diagnosis. Ekeler's 2025 season has ended early.
QB Joe Burrow, Cincinnati | Turf Toe | Projecting Week 15 Return
The headline injury from this weekend is Joe Burrow, who is dealing with a severe turf toe issue. According to Ian Rapoport, the Bengals fear it may be a Grade III turf toe injury, which involves torn ligaments in the toe and typically requires surgery to repair.

After exploring options, it sounds like Burrow's turf toe injury will require surgery. He will land on IR. Best-case scenario, I think Burrow could be back by ~Week 15, assuming that the Bengals are still in the playoff hunt by that point. Jake Browning will be the Bengals' QB moving forward.
