Cincinnati Bengals QB Jake Browning could be at risk of being benched as head coach Zac Taylor said the team would look at all their personnel on offense.
Taylor Believes In Jake Browning, But Won't Turn Blind Eye To Performances
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said last week that he has unwavering confidence in quarterback Jake Browning, but the message was a bit different after Sunday's game against the Lions. Taylor said in a postgame press conference that he still believes in the quarterback, but acknowledged that the team can't turn a blind eye to performances like the one he turned in on Sunday. "I won't shy away from that because it's a very fair question after the amount of turnovers we had. To say Jake can't win games for us, I believe Jake can win games for us," Taylor said. "I do. We'll continue to look at everything we can, personnel-wise."

Cincinnati Bengals QB Jake Browning completed 26 of his 40 passes for 251 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in a 37-24 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 5. He also added 31 rushing yards.

The Cincinnati Bengals continue to have 'unwavering' confidence in QB Jake Browning, according to head coach Zac Taylor, despite the Bengals' performance in a pair of blowout losses since he replaced injured QB Joe Burrow (toe) as the team's starting quarterback. The organization has also not engaged in trade talks with other teams for veteran quarterbacks such as Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins or New York Giants QBs Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, according to multiple sources.
