Office Pools are a fun way for even casual NFL fans to enjoy a little bit of sports gambling. It is an excellent opportunity to bond with your colleagues, enjoy a little friendly competition, and, most importantly, win a little money.

The staff at Footballguys.com also enjoys these contests, and each week we will publish our picks to give our subscribers some ideas on what teams to pick in your office pools or at your local sportsbook.

Each week, we will post our office pool picks with three different themes:

Office Pool – NFL Game Picks
Our staff will pick the winner of every NFL contest every week. They will also rank their confidence level in their selection, ranging from 1 (least confident) to 16 (most confident). We'll also combine everyone's confidence points,  giving you a Wisdom of the Staff confidence level as well.

Office Pool – Against the Spread Picks
Each week, the staffers will select their eight favorite NFL games and pick the winner, based on the early Las Vegas odds for each.

Office Pool – Eliminator/Survivor Picks
Sounds simple, right? Just pick one team to win this week. The only catch is that you can only use a team once the entire season.

Week 7 NFL Game Picks Results

Hutchinson Brown had an impressive week, only missing two points on the Falcons to beat the 49ers on Sunday night. His 118 points were the top score so far this season. The key to success last week was avoiding the Thursday night upset, where the only two staffers to pick the Bengals finished #1 and #2 overall. Nice job.

Standings

This is where everyone sits after four weeks of games. Remember, in this format, Confidence Points are how everyone is ranked. Wins are nice, but the allocation of points is the point of this contest.

Staffer Confidence Points Wins Losses

Jeff Haseley 636 68 39
Ryan Weisse 636 73 34
Clayton Gray 626 71 36

Matt Carey 617 66 41
William Grant 615 69 38
Jeff Blaylock 614 65 42
Andy Hicks 592 69 38
Hutchinson Brown 592 65 42

This Week's Picks

The Table below shows the team each staffer picked to win the game and how confident they are in that pick, ranging from 16 (a virtual lock) to 1 (basically flipping a coin). In the event of a tie, the Monday Night Football (MNF) Total points scored will serve as the tiebreaker (the closest to the total wins).

The bottom of the table reflects the wisdom of the staff for each game. Higher total points indicate that the staff strongly believes the team will win. A score of zero means none of the staff expect that team to win.
