Nothing is more exciting than a trade! The Giants and Vikings inserted some excitement on Monday, flipping J.J. McCarthy. Injuries continued to wreck the league. On a positive note, a handful of players came through to offer a sigh of relief after quiet starts to the season. How does it affect your Dynasty league?

It was easy enough to avoid the rest of the Dolphins offense. None of Malik Willis, Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell, or Greg Dulcich were drafted to be fantasy football starters.
De'Von Achane was.
His 2025 production, paired with an ADP that fell into the middle of Round 2, was hard to ignore. In hindsight, it was an obvious trap. Still, managers felt obligated to play him weekly. The unfortunate knee injury that ends his season removes that obligation. The entire Dolphins offense should be viewed as desperation plays only.
Achane does become an intriguing trade target for rebuilding teams. He won't provide points to affect your standing in 2026; the environment was so bad it will leave scars on people's memories, and he should return to a much better situation in 2027.

There is a decent chance Hill was dropped to waivers in your league. There is also a decent chance he is overlooked in Week 4 waiver wire content.
Deep leagues should take the risk.
Hill posted a video clip running and cutting on the beach. He looked as good as anyone can while they are running on the beach. We are nearing a full year of recovery. Several teams, most notably the Rams and 49ers, could use him right now.

Instant reaction is the most fascinating part of social media. After a couple of hours, a consensus settles, and people rarely share opinions outside the safe take. But before that window, we get a golden time of varying points.
The McCarthy trade is whatever we want to make of it.
Some hold the view that the Giants are at the highest level of concern about Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback, so they went out and targeted the first available player who could supplant him.
Others see the remaining 14 games on the schedule and know the depth chart is already depleted, so the Giants moved to shore it up while they could.
From Minnesota's side, they are 3-0 but have not received solid quarterback play, outside of a half in Week 1 from Carson Wentz. McCarthy was a potential distraction. NFL teams hate distractions.
The Giants are a surprise 2-1. They play Arizona, Washington, New Orleans, and Houston before their bye. Those four are 3-9 combined. Winston will start Week 4. Even with the addition of McCarthy, he has a chance to entrench himself. A 3-1 or 4-1 stretch will go a long way towards that outcome. If he is playing reasonably well, it would be surprising to see a 7-1 or 6-2 team sit their starter. Anything else, and it leans hard toward McCarthy time. McCarthy is young enough; if the season turns sideways, the team should see what they have.
