Sleepers at Quarterback

Carson Wentz, Minnesota (at Chicago)

One of the simple rules of fantasy football in 2026 might be to start whichever quarterback is facing the Bears. Wentz also threw three touchdowns in the last third of the game to lead the Vikings back from a 12-point deficit to a 17-point win, so he's warm heading into Soldier Field, and Jordan Mason's thumb injury will put even more on Wentz and the passing game's shoulders.

Bryce Young, Carolina (at Atlanta) **Monitor Coker Status**

If "start whichever quarterback is facing the Bears" isn't a fantasy football truism in 2026, then that means Young's Week 1 is a harbinger of a breakout season. Jalen Coker is nursing a sore ankle, so check his status, but if he's playing and isn't a game-time decision, he'll be there vs. the Falcons to increase Young's chances of a third straight massive game against them in Atlanta. The Falcons defense committed a couple of long pass interference penalties against the Steelers (including one that wasn't called). They might struggle against the Panthers' downfield passing attack with both of their young edge rushers unavailable.

Jordan Love, Green Bay (at NY Jets)

Love is going to have to carry the Packers offense, and for over a half it looked like he could do it against the Vikings. Brian Flores mashed the blitz button over 80% of the time, but Aaron Glenn probably isn't that bold. The Jets defense didn't allow much to the Titans in Week 1, but that doesn't mean they are any good, and they probably aren't as good as the Vikings, who Love threw for 387 and two scores against. Consider him a high-ceiling QB1 streamer and hope the offensive line has a better showing this week.

Malik Willis, Miami (at San Francisco)

Willis's debut as the Dolphins starter was promising, especially given the team had to build a roster with a $180 million dead cap charge. The young receiver corps is capable, and Chris Bell is only going to get better coming off of an ACL tear. The 49ers run defense got creased at times against the Rams, and the Dolphins will surely test them more than Los Angeles did - at least early in the game. The 49ers should build a lead again, and then Willis can tack on some garbage time points against a prevent defense.
