Scouting Report
Bauer Sharp was a zero-star, unknown quarterback recruit who transformed himself into a viable NFL tight end prospect. After redshirting and playing three years at Southeastern Louisiana, he transferred to Oklahoma, where he was the team's leading receiver before entering the transfer portal again. His final season was at LSU, where struggles across the offense and a reduced role for Sharp resulted in a disappointing season.
Sharp flashes physicality in the run game, but is too often thrown off of blocks without maintaining them through the play. Sharp is not the receiving tight end to run an offense through, but he can find space in open zones and provide a checkdown option for his quarterback. Sharp does not convert his speed to power with the ball in his hands and is often brought down by first contact, even by much smaller defenders.
Rundown
Sharp is an underdog who can provide value as a third tight end on an NFL roster. He is not likely to make a fantasy impact at any point in his career.
