Scouting Report
Chip Trayanum was a standout at Archbishop Hoban in Ohio, helping his team win three straight state championships. He was a college journeyman, playing at Arizona State, Ohio State, Kentucky, and Toledo throughout his six-year career. Something clicked in 2025, and Trayanum broke out in a major way, almost matching his cumulative stats over his previous five years in a single season. He led the team in rushing, was a steady receiver, and scored a team-high 14 touchdowns.
Trayanum is a power back, but he has the explosiveness to exploit small creases and create big plays quickly. He plays with a strong motor and consistently finishes his runs falling forward. He doesn't have home run speed, but finds space when it's there. He had a productive 2025 season, handling a big load. However, concerns about the season are valid. He struggled to find a role in the Pac-12, Big Ten, and SEC, and ultimately had to move to the MAC to break out as a sixth-year senior. A jump in talent level to the NFL could prove difficult for Trayanum to adapt to.
Rundown
Trayanum has a storied high school and college career, but there are some concerns about how his skills will translate to the NFL level.
