Scouting Report
Kendrick Law has a prototypical build that immediately stands out. He was a four-star, Top 100 recruit at Alabama in one of Nick Saban's last classes. Law began his career at Alabama as a core special teamer, contributing as a returner and on coverage units. He struggled to establish himself offensively, with true freshman Ryan Williams and transfer veteran Germie Bernard beating him out. After three years, Law moved to Kentucky, where he had his best season, leading the Wildcats in receiving and returning kicks. He earned an invitation to the Shrine Bowl.
Law made Bruce Feldman's 2024 Freaks List, topping 23 mph and posting elite numbers in the weight room. Law was kept close to the line of scrimmage, with Kentucky creating opportunities to work with the ball. His route tree was almost exclusively screen passes and pop passes off frequent jet motion. He looks like a running back after the catch, creating issues for smaller cornerbacks. Law's path to a roster involves special teams and gadget usage. The NFL has trended toward the short passing game, a factor in his favor. He's the type of athlete NFL teams take a chance on developing.
Rundown
Kendrick Law is a physically imposing receiver with a running back build and elite athletic traits. His offensive usage has been limited to manufactured opportunities in screens and pop passes, but he is lethal with the ball.
