Scouting Report

Marlin Klein is a German-born tight end prospect who waited his turn at Michigan. He started playing football through the Gridiron Imports Foundation and played at a boarding school in Georgia. He was given a three-star designation before playing at Michigan, where he redshirted and then played two seasons as a relative starter.

Michigan isn't known for its passing game, and Klein didn't get many chances to showcase his receiving ability. He struggles to drive back stronger defenders as a blocker, but is willing and adept at stalking down smaller defenders down the field. He's not a natural hands-catcher, and lets the ball into his chest too often. Klein is a bit robotic in running his routes.

Rundown

Klein can be a value-added player for a team as a part of a tight end rotation, but will need to improve either as a blocker or receiver to be their primary option.
