Scouting Report

Michael Trigg is a well-traveled tight end with extensive college football experience. He was initially a four-star prospect with basketball offers competing with football opportunities. He averaged 22.6 points per game for basketball in high school and was a two-way player for football with 11 sacks before committing to play tight end for USC. After a quiet freshman year, he transferred to Ole Miss, broke his collarbone, and transferred two seasons later after seeing limited playing time. At Baylor, he finally saw playing time as a redshirt junior and senior, and was second-team All-Big 12 in 2024 and first-team in 2025.

Trigg is an aggressive, physical runner after the catch, but is more of an oversized slot than a true tight end. He played the majority of his snaps in the slot and is fluid for his size. For all the physicality he displays after the catch, he gets moved off his spot throughout routes and in the blocking game. Trigg has some of the best highlight-reel plays in the tight end class, but has far too many drops to be ignored heading to the next level.

Rundown

Trigg is a tweener tight end who brings athleticism and power to a slot role at the next level.
