Scouting Report
Will Kacmarek is a converted defensive end who worked his way up in Ohio football. Originally a two-star recruit from Missouri, Kacmarek committed to the Ohio Bobcats, where he would redshirt one season and play for two. He entered the transfer portal ahead of 2024 and was re-rated as a three-star transfer before joining Ohio State's blocking tight end rotation.
Kacmarek has been "the other" tight end for Ohio State for two seasons and makes his money in the blocking game. He plays primarily inline and isn't afraid to run block one-on-one with some of the best defenders in the nation. He's powerful, but he can sometimes be beaten to the punch because of a slower first step. He's clunky as a receiver, running his routes as if they are perfect lines that he has to follow. He's a natural hands-catcher, but doesn't offer much to create separation or as a runner after the catch.
Rundown
Kacmarek is a blocking tight end who will bring more value to an NFL team than fantasy managers, at least early in his career.
