Arroyo, Shaheed to have larger roles in new offense
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com expects to see "a lot of two tight ends on the field" for the Seahawks under new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury. He said both AJ Barner and Elijah Arroyo will be "major" parts of the offense. Fowler also said that he expects Rashid Shaheed to be "more of a complete receiver" in the offense this year, and that he should get more targets this season.
TE Barner to do more than expected?
Andrew Destin, from The Athletic, reports Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner will likely see an uptick in production, as should backup TE Elijah Arroyo this year.
AJ Barner moving up pecking order
Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner said the team will use two tight ends very often in 2026. This will help facilitate the motions and shifts, a staple of the San Francisco 49ers offense from which offensive coordinator Brian Fleury came from. This facet has moved Barner up the pecking order in the offense, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
AJ Barner 'feeling really good' after offseason surgeries
Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner (undisclosed) is 'feeling really good' after two offseason surgeries in the spring, according to a source on Monday, July 27. Barner avoided the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list and will likely have his reps in training camp managed.
