There was speculation that Kamara would retire. Instead, he reported to Saints OTAs and there will be ongoing negotiations for a new deal. On the verge of 30, that new neal will be a short-term contract, espeically with Travis Etienne in the fold.
Look for Etienne to lead the Saints rushing game with Kamara as the complement. Kamara has only played a full season during his rookie year, averaging 13.5 games since 2020 and slightly less than 13 games for the past three years.
The Saints boast a good offensive line on paper -- an athletic unit -- but the offense needs the passing game to click enough for teams not to key on the ground attack. The inexperience with the passing game may proclude this from happening this year.
Kamara's range of outcomes could be an fantasy RB2 if Etienne gets hurt to a bye-week option if Etienne leads the committee with the majority of touches.
